Abstract
Description
拡張可能な構造体と、
心臓の心耳の小孔にわたって広がるように適応した、拡張可能な構造体の上に配置されるカバーと、
を含む、カテーテルに対して放出可能に取り付けることができる医療用移植装置によって実現され、
拡張可能な構造体は、外部のエネルギー源からエネルギーを受けるように構成され、さらに、拡張可能な構造体が拡張された状態にある場合にその周囲にある心臓の組織を加熱するため等、その周囲にエネルギーを伝えるように構成され、それにより、心耳の持続性の閉塞をもたらす。
カテーテルを用いて、本発明による医療用移植装置を心臓内に導入するステップと、
心臓の心耳内で医療用移植装置を展開させるステップと、
を含み、
医療用移植装置は、外部のエネルギー源からエネルギーを受け、
医療用移植装置は、拡張可能な構造体が拡張された状態にある場合に心臓の組織を加熱するため等、心臓の組織にエネルギーを伝え、それにより、心耳の持続性の閉塞をもたらす。心臓に医療用移植装置を導入し、さらに、心臓の心耳内の正しい位置にて展開させることは、カテーテルによって可能になる。医療用移植装置は、カテーテルを通った、又は、患者の体を介して伝えられるエネルギーを外部のエネルギー源から受けてもよい。医療用移植装置に隣接する心臓の組織を加熱することによって、心耳を心臓の残りの部分から電気的に分離することができ、その結果、心房細動の維持及び永続化のための基質の大きさを患者において有意に減らすことができる。
医療用移植装置に統合されたセンサに隣接する心臓の組織の温度及び/又は電気信号を測定するステップと、
測定された温度及び/又は電気信号に基づき、コントローラコンピュータによって、医療用移植装置に外部のエネルギー源から伝えられるエネルギーの量、及び/又は、医療用移植装置の外周の周囲にあるセグメントの起動シーケンス(activation sequence)を制御するステップと、
をさらに含んでもよい。コントローラコンピュータは、医療用移植装置に外部のエネルギー源から伝えられるエネルギーの量、医療用移植装置の周囲によって要求される温度分布、又は、医療用移植装置の外周の周囲のセグメントの起動シーケンス等のパラメータの選択を可能にするコンピュータプログラムを含む。

拡張可能な構造体は、外部のエネルギー源からエネルギーを受けるように構成され、さらに、拡張可能な構造体が拡張された状態にある場合にその周囲にある心臓の組織を加熱して心臓の組織の電気的特性を、導電性から電気絶縁性に変化させるため等、その周囲にエネルギーを伝えるように構成され、それにより、医療用移植装置による心耳の持続性の閉塞をもたらす。
カテーテルを用いて、本発明による医療用移植装置を心臓内に導入するステップと、
心臓の心耳内で医療用移植装置を展開させるステップと、
を含み、
医療用移植装置は、外部のエネルギー源からエネルギーを受け、
医療用移植装置は、拡張可能な構造体が拡張された状態にある場合にその周囲にある心臓の組織を加熱して心臓の組織の電気的特性を、導電性から電気絶縁性に変化させるため等、心臓の組織にエネルギーを伝え、それにより、展開された医療用移植装置による心耳の持続性の閉塞をもたらす。心臓に医療用移植装置を導入し、さらに、心臓の心耳内の正しい位置にて展開させることは、カテーテルによって可能になる。医療用移植装置は、カテーテルを通った、又は、患者の体を介して伝えられるエネルギーを外部のエネルギー源から受けてもよい。医療用移植装置に隣接する心臓の組織を加熱することによって、心耳を心臓の残りの部分から電気的に分離することができ、その結果、心房細動の維持及び永続化のための基質の大きさを患者において有意に減らすことができる。
医療用移植装置に統合されたセンサに隣接する心臓の組織の温度及び/又は電気信号を測定し、
測定された温度及び/又は電気信号に基づき、コントローラコンピュータによって、医療用移植装置に外部のエネルギー源から伝えられるエネルギーの量、及び/又は、医療用移植装置の外周の周囲にあるセグメントの起動シーケンス(activation sequence)を制御する
ようにさらに構成される。コントローラコンピュータは、医療用移植装置に外部のエネルギー源から伝えられるエネルギーの量、医療用移植装置の周囲によって要求される温度分布、又は、医療用移植装置の外周の周囲のセグメントの起動シーケンス等のパラメータの選択を可能にするコンピュータプログラムを含む。
Claims (15)
- カテーテルに対して放出可能に取り付けることができる医療用移植装置であって、
拡張可能な構造体と、
心臓の心耳の小孔にわたって広がるように適応した、前記拡張可能な構造体の上に配置されるカバーと、
を含み、
前記拡張可能な構造体は、外部のエネルギー源からエネルギーを受けるように構成され、さらに、前記拡張可能な構造体が拡張された状態にある場合にその周囲にある心臓の組織を加熱するため等、その周囲にエネルギーを伝えるように構成され、それにより、前記心耳の持続性の閉塞をもたらす、医療用移植装置。 - 前記拡張可能な構造体は、形状記憶合金から作製される、請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 前記拡張可能な構造体は、受けた前記エネルギーを、異なる形態の伝えられるエネルギーに変えるように構成される、請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 前記拡張可能な構造体は、前記拡張可能な構造体に提供される高周波電流によって電気エネルギーの形態で前記エネルギーを受けるように構成される、請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 前記拡張可能な構造体は、レーザー放射の形態で前記エネルギーを受けるように構成される、請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 前記拡張可能な構造体は、前記拡張可能な構造体に提供される電流によって電気エネルギーを受けるように構成され、さらに、その周囲に伝えられる熱に前記電気エネルギーを変えるように構成される、請求項3に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 前記拡張可能な構造体は、電磁波によって電気エネルギーを受けるように構成され、さらに、その周囲に伝えられる熱に前記電気エネルギーを変えるように構成される、請求項3に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 前記拡張可能な構造体は、圧力波の形態の機械的波動によってエネルギーを受けるように構成され、さらに、その周囲に伝えられる熱に前記エネルギーを変えるように構成される、請求項3に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 前記カバーは、流体を用いて可膨張のバルーンである、請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 前記拡張可能な構造体は、測定センサを含む、請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 空間的に連続している輪郭に沿ってその外周の周囲にエネルギーを伝えるように構成される、請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置と、前記拡張可能な構造体によって受けられることになる前記エネルギーを提供する外部のエネルギー源と、を含むシステム。
- 前記医療用移植装置を前記外部のエネルギー源に接続するカテーテルをさらに含む、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 請求項1に記載の医療用移植装置を用いて心臓の組織を加熱する方法であって、
カテーテルを用いて、前記医療用移植装置を前記心臓内に導入するステップと、
前記心臓の心耳内で前記医療用移植装置を展開させるステップと、
を含み、
前記医療用移植装置は、外部のエネルギー源からエネルギーを受け、
前記医療用移植装置は、前記拡張可能な構造体が拡張された状態にある場合に前記心臓の組織を加熱するため等、前記心臓の組織にエネルギーを伝え、それにより、前記心耳の持続性の閉塞をもたらす、方法。 - 前記医療用移植装置に統合されたセンサに隣接する前記心臓の組織の温度及び/又は電気信号を測定するステップと、
測定された前記温度及び/又は電気信号に基づき、コントローラコンピュータによって、前記医療用移植装置に前記外部のエネルギー源から伝えられるエネルギーの量、及び/又は、前記医療用移植装置の外周の周囲にある前記拡張可能な構造体のセグメントの起動シーケンスを制御するステップと、
をさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
