Claims (20)
- 感圧性パッドであって、一般的に、マットレスまたはクッションの下に配置するための平面形状であり、パッドにかけられた圧力に依存する信号のスペクトルを出力することが可能であることを特徴とする、感圧性パッド。
- マットレスまたはクッションを実質的に歪ませないように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の圧力感圧性パッド。
- 導電性フィルム、導電性発泡体、導電性インク、および歪みゲージの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の感圧性パッド:
- 複数の感受性ゾーンを含み、各ゾーンはそれぞれの制御装置に接続され、各ゾーン上の圧力を測定するように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の感圧性パッド。
- 2つの導電性層と;
2つの導電性層の間の可変導電性層と、
を含み、
可変導電性層が、圧力が可変導電性層にかけられ、可変導電性層が押さえ付けられるとき、可変導電性層の抵抗が減少するように構成され;
パッド上で機械的な圧力が上昇し、可変導電性層が押さえ付けられると、2つの導電性層の間の電気伝導度が増加することによって、パッドに圧力がかかるにつれて2つの導電性層の間の電気抵抗が減少するように、2つの導電性層が可変導電性層により分離される、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の感圧性パッド。 - 可変導電性層が導電性発泡体層であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の感圧性パッド。
- 複数の穴を含む導電性層を含み、複数の穴を含む導電性層が、2つの導電性層の第1の導電性層と、導電性発泡体層との間に配され;
パッドに加えられた圧力が、第1の導電性層と、導電性発泡体との間の接触を増加させ、それにより、2つの導電性層の間の電気伝導度を緩和することを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の感圧性パッド。 - 2つの導電性層に接続され、導電性層を通る入力信号から結果として生じる出力信号を読み取るために、2つの導電性層を通る信号を入力するように構成される制御装置と;導電性層を含み、保護する2つのシース層と、を含むことを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の感圧性パッド。
- 人の重量もしくは経時的な重量変化、またはマットレス上の人の動きを検知するためのシステムであって、アナログ感圧性パッドと;パッドから受信したデータを処理するために構成された制御ユニットと、を含み、
制御ユニットが:
(a)様々なマットレスタイプ、ならびにマットレス重量、および人の重量に対して、人の不在および存在を検知するようにシステムを校正する;および
(b)人がマットレスの上にいる間、人の相対的な重量を測定する、
ために動作可能である、
ことを特徴とする、システム。 - 制御ユニットが、
(c)遠隔システムに、処理されたデータを送信する;
(d)人の存在/不在に関して望ましくない状況が生じる場合にアラームを発する;および
(e)特定の入力を受信した場合にアラームを停止する、
ために動作可能であることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載のシステム。 - 感圧性パッドが、マットレスの下に配置されるために構成された可変感圧性パッドであることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- パッドからの情報に基づいて、発生する人の望ましくない状態に応じてアラームを発するために構成されたローカル出力ユニットを含むことを特徴とする、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 終了信号を受信するために構成されたローカル入力をさらに含み、終了信号が制御装置に伝達され、それにより、制御装置が、発せられたアラームを終了するように構成されることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 遠隔システムへ、制御ユニットによって処理されたデータを送信するように構成された遠隔通信ユニットを含むことを特徴とする、請求項10に記載のシステム。

- 未知の重量のマットレスの下に請求項1に記載のアナログ感圧性パッドが配置され、人がマットレスの上にいる状態で、人の重量を検知するために可変感圧性パッドを校正する方法であって、校正が:
a)マットレスの下に圧力可変感圧性パッドを配置する工程と;
b)パッドからの最高値、最低値、最終読み取り値、および平均読み取り値を測定する工程と;
c)差が閾値よりも小さい場合に閾値を超えるまでより多くのデータを収集する工程と;
d)差が閾値よりも大きい場合に:
i)非活動化ゾーンを測定する工程であって、非活動化ゾーンは、最高値から、最低値と最高値の関数である値までの様々な値である、工程;
ii)活動化ゾーンを測定する工程であって、活動化ゾーンは、最低値から、最低値と最高値の第2の関数である値までの様々な値である、工程;および
iii)遷移ゾーンを測定する工程であって、遷移ゾーンは、活動化ゾーンの最高値と、非活動化ゾーンの最低値との間の範囲である、工程と;
e)平均値が遷移領域内にある場合に、最終読み取り値が遷移領域外に出るまで、前の過去最高値および過去最低値の第3の関数である第2の量によって過去最高値を低下させ、前の過去最高値および過去最低値の第4の関数である第3の量によって過去最低値を増大させる、反復プロセスを実行する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 第2の量と、第3の量とが互いに等しいことを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載のパッドが未知の重量のマットレスの下にあり、人がそのマットレスの上にいる間、その未知の重量のマットレス上でそのパッドを使用して人の相対的な重量を測定する方法であって、パッドの出力電圧を測定する工程と、その出力電圧に基づいて人の相対的な重量を測定する工程と、を含むことを特徴とする、方法。
- マットレスの下で請求項4に記載のパッドを使用して、マットレス上の人の動きを測定する方法であって、感受性ゾーンの各々からの出力の測定値を経時的に比較する工程と、第1のゾーンからの出力が隣接するゾーンよりも高いかどうかを経時的に測定する工程と、を含むことを特徴とする、方法。
