US2013/0099897は、RFIDリーダーと、RFIDチップと、アンテナとを開示しており、アンテナは、RFIDチップに電気的に結合され、RFIDリーダーから信号を受信し且つそこへ信号を送信する。RFIDチップは、センシング・マテリアル(a sensing material)に対する電気的なインターフェースとともに提供される。RFIDチップは、リーダーから受信される信号を変調し、センシング・マテリアルを変調信号により駆動するように構成される。センシング・マテリアルは、バックスキャタリング変調信号がセンシング・マテリアルの状態に応じて変動するように、可変である電気特性を有する。センシング・マテリアルの性質によらず、RFIDチップからの変調信号と相互作用し、その信号をRFIDチップへ返す。返された信号は、バックスキャター変調器を介してRFIDチップからアンテナへ渡され、RFIDリーダーへ送り返される。或いは、センシング・マテリアルにより処理された信号は、RFIDチップの入力インピーダンスを、RFIDチップからの信号により変調するために使用され、その信号は、センシング・マテリアルの状態の判断のためにアンテナによりRFIDリーダーへバックスキャタリングされる。
バックスキャタリング原理により通信し、無線周波数識別(RFID)機能を提供するためのアンテナ、整流器及び変調器と、
変調器に変調周波数を提供する発振器と、
発振器の発振周波数が、センシング要素によりセンシングされる所定変数の値に依存するように、発振器に接続されるセンシング要素と、
を有し、発振周波数は変調周波数のN倍高調波である。
Claims (14)
- パッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダであって、
バックスキャタリング原理により通信し、無線周波数識別(RFID)機能を提供するためのアンテナ、整流器及び変調器と、
前記変調器に変調周波数を提供する発振器と、
前記発振器に接続されるセンシング要素であって、前記発振器の発振周波数は前記センシング要素によりセンシングされる所定変数の値に依存する、センシング要素と、
を有し、前記発振周波数は前記変調周波数のN倍高調波である、パッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。 - 前記発振周波数から前記変調周波数を生成するように構成される周波数ディバイダを有する請求項1に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記センシング要素は、容量性のセンシング要素、抵抗性のセンシング要素又は誘導性のセンシング要素を有する、請求項1又は2に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記周波数ディバイダは、アナログ周波数ディバイダ又はディジタル周波数ディバイダを有する、請求項2又は3に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記周波数ディバイダの分周比Nは、制御可能又はプログラム可能である、請求項2ないし4のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記パッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダのコントローラは、前記周波数ディバイダを制御又はプログラムするように構成される、請求項2ないし5のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記センシング要素は2つ以上の変調周波数で読み取られ又はインテロゲートされることが可能であり、前記周波数ディバイダの分周比Nは、特定のセンシング要素を読み取る又はインテロゲートするためにリーダー又はインテロゲータにより選択される変調周波数に依存して変更されるように構成される、請求項2ないし6のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記発振周波数が一度に唯一つのセンシング要素によって影響を受けるように構成される複数のセンシング要素を有する請求項1ないし7のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記複数のセンシング要素のうち一度に一つを前記発振器に接続するように提供されるセレクタ又はディジタル可制御スイッチを有する請求項8に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記発振器は、RC発振器、リング発振器、LC発振器、RLC発振器及びMEMS発振器のうち何れかを有する請求項1ないし9のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記発振器は、高い感度が得られるように、調和発振周波数で動作するように設計及び設定され、所望の変調周波数は、分周比Nにより前記調和発振周波数から導出される(Nは整数)、請求項1ないし10のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記変調周波数は、約40-640kHzの範囲内にあり、好ましくは、640 kHz,320kHz,256kHz,160kHz及び40kHzの群から選択される、請求項1ないし10のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- Nは10以上の整数である、請求項1ないし12のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
- 前記発振周波数は、少なくとも5MHzであり、好ましくは少なくとも10MHzである、請求項1ないし13のうちの何れか一項に記載のパッシブ・ワイヤレス・トランスポンダ。
