Abstract
Description
LH代替、即ち原油の蒸留生成物と比較して、少ない費用で一般的であることを考えると、技術的に且つ経済的に最適なLHは原油である。原油の処理された蒸留物は、地理的には、精製所を起点として送らなければならず、且つ、実際には、一般的には市場を確立し専用していることから、原油より高価でありより一般的ではない。
石油は、高温及び高圧で地下貯蔵部において6つの一般的な形態で生成する。
・重油
・黒油
・揮発油
・逆行性ガス
・湿潤ガス
・乾燥ガス
LNGプロセスと比較して、DNGプロセスによって理論的に達成される体積減少はより小さいが、CNGプロセスのものに匹敵する。
前述の通り、LHは、天然ガスが溶解する際に膨らむ、即ち、「膨張」することになる。LH膨張係数は、油及びガスの組成物、並びに、圧力及び温度に依存する。
前述の通り、増加した圧力及び環境温度でLHへの天然ガスの添加の増加は、最終的に、100%の液体の代わりに100%のガスになる混合物をもたらすことになる。これが行われる圧力は、混合物の臨界点圧力と称される。臨界点圧力は、LH及び天然ガスの組成物に依存する。臨界点圧力は、DNGが可能である最大圧力である。
天然ガスが高圧でLHに溶解し、その後、高圧の解放によりLHの溶液から出てくる場合、天然ガスは、LHから取り出された、元の天然ガスには存在しなかった炭化水素の塊を含む。例えば、元の天然ガスが純粋なメタンであり、且つ、LHが原油であるならば、放出される天然ガスは、メタン、エタン、プロパン、ブタン、ペンタン、ヘキサン、及びヘプタンを含む。この例のガスは、分子量で測定され、かなり「より重く」なる。
本発明の一実施形態によれば、環境温度で液体炭化水素において溶液による天然ガスを輸送するプロセスは、一般的に、天然ガスの液化、出荷、及び再ガス化の工程を含む。これらの工程は後述されるが、当業者は、後述される特定のプロセス及び設備に加えて、工程のいくつか又はすべては、将来開発され得る手段を含むその他の手段によって実施されることができることを理解するであろう。
工程S1:オフショアで輸送される天然ガスは、積載港にパイプで送られる。
工程S2:LHは、同一港にパイプで送られ又は出荷され、DNGタンカーに又は陸上の混合タンク施設に移送される。DNGタンカーが前のDNG輸送航行から戻ってくる場合、LHは、タンカーに留まる。
工程S3(オプション):天然ガスは、LHと混合する前に、積載港での脱水及び硫化水素除去によって調整されることができる。又、タンカーは、硫化水素に対する腐食防止を利用することができる。
工程S4:天然ガス及びLHは、環境温度及び高圧力で混合される。圧力は、ガス及び原油の特性並びに所望の圧縮比、並びに施設の圧力制約によって決定される。好ましい実施形態においては、高圧力は、500〜3500の範囲、より好ましくは1000〜3000の範囲にある。実現されることができる圧縮比は、一般的に、20〜300の範囲にある。混合プロセスは、DNGタンカー(図1)において、又は、陸上の混合タンク施設(図2)において行われることができる。
工程S5:DNGタンカーが高圧DNG液体を積載すると、仕向け港に出航する。
工程S6:仕向け港に到着の際、DNGタンカーは、天然ガスがDNGから放出される再ガス化施設に接続される。
工程S7:任意の積み下ろしの代替案においては、分離されたLH及びガスの組成を測定することができる。前述のセクションで説明したように、組成物は、積み下ろし港までパイプで送られ液化されてDNGになる天然ガスの組成と異なることから、積み下ろしプロセスの際にガス組成を測定して市場販売価格を決定することができる。API比重の低下のため、圧縮比はそれぞれのDNGの積荷で減少することから、LHの組成を測定してDNGのその容量、即ち、DNG圧縮比を決定することができる。圧縮比が十分でない場合、LHは、貯蔵タンクにパイプで送られる場合があり、そこで販売するため精製所への輸送を待つ場合がある。
工程S8:DNGタンカーは、その貨物倉におけるLHの有無にかかわらず、新たなLHを積載するために港へ航行し、或いは、DNGの別の積荷を積載するために天然ガス積載港に戻る。
原油及び天然ガスの輸出を規制する米国連邦規制は、DNG、LNG、及びCNGの実行可能性に重要な影響を与える。
CNGとの比較
CNGの海上輸送が、1.3MMscfの天然ガス貨物容量を有する船舶で、1965年に、最初に、そして最後に行われた。このプロジェクトは、ガソリン価格の低さにより、打ち上げ直後に廃止された。
DNGの経済的実現可能性は、現在商業的に実証されているLNG法のものと比較することによって、容易に検討することができる。LNGのインフラストラクチャーの現在の名目資本費用は50億ドルである。典型的には、この費用の50%は液化施設、40%は船舶、10%は再ガス化施設からなる。世界的に多くのLNGのプロジェクトが運営され、計画されていることから、これらのプロジェクトのほとんどは、現在の低い天然ガスの供給原料価格で、経済性があり、価格プレミアムをLNGの運営者がLNGの顧客に請求すると考えることが安全である。
Claims (15)
- 環境温度及び環境圧力で炭化水素液体を供給する工程と、
環境温度及び高圧力で天然ガスを前記炭化水素液体と混合して液体混合物を生成する工程であって、前記液体混合物は、前記炭化水素液体に溶解した前記天然ガスを含む工程と、
第1の地点から第2の地点へ海洋タンカーを用いて前記液体混合物を輸送する工程であって、この間、前記液体混合物は、環境温度及び前記高圧力で維持される工程と、
前記第2の地点で、前記液体混合物の圧力を低下させることによって前記液体混合物からガスを放出する工程と、
を含む、天然ガスを輸送するプロセス。 - 前記炭化水素液体は原油である、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記炭化水素液体は原油の蒸留物である、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記混合工程は、20体積超の前記天然ガスを1体積の前記炭化水素液体に混合する、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記高圧力は1000psiaを超える、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記混合工程の前に、脱水及び硫化水素除去を含む前記天然ガスを調整する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記混合工程は、前記海洋タンカーで行われる、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記混合工程は、バッファー貯蔵タンクで行われ、前記プロセスは、前記バッファー貯蔵タンクから前記海洋タンカーに前記液体混合物を積載する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記混合工程は、大量の前記炭化水素液体を環境温度で混合タンクに積載する工程と、
前記混合タンクの底部地点から前記炭化水素液体を介して高圧で前記天然ガスをろ過し、ガス/炭化水素液体の分離を防止するために前記混合物を循環させる工程と、
を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。 - 前記混合タンクは、前記海洋タンカー又はバッファー貯蔵タンクである、請求項9に記載のプロセス。
- 前記混合工程は、前記天然ガスを環境温度で圧縮して混合タンクに入れる工程と、
高圧で前記炭化水素液体を液滴又はミストの形態で前記混合タンクにポンプで送る工程と、
を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。 - 前記混合タンクは、前記海洋タンカー又はバッファー貯蔵タンクである、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記脱ガス工程は、
パイプ系を介して前記タンカーから前記液体混合物を1つ以上の油−ガスセパレーターに移動させる工程であって、前記セパレーターは、環境温度、及び、前記海洋タンカーの圧力よりも逐次的に低い圧力にあり、且つ、前記液体混合物は、前記セパレーターにおいてガスと液体に分離する工程と、
前記セパレータータンクから前記ガス及び前記液体をパイプで送る工程と、
を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。 - 前記放出工程は、
前記タンカーから前記水の一部又はすべてを排出する工程であって、ガスが、前記液体混合物から前記水の排水によって形成されたガスのキャップ空間に分離される工程と、
前記ガスが、前記ガスのキャップ空間を連続して満たす間、前記海洋タンカーから前記ガスのみをパイプで送り、前記海洋タンカーに前記液体炭化水素を残す工程と、
を含む脱ガス工程、を含む、前記輸送工程の前に、前記タンカーにおいて大量の水を積載する工程を更に含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。 - 前記脱ガス工程は、
前記タンカー貨物倉の底部に水をポンプで送り、前記貨物倉の高圧を維持しながら前記貨物倉から前記DNGを移す工程と、
パイプ系を介して前記タンカーから前記液体混合物を1つ以上の油−ガスセパレーターに移動させる工程であって、前記セパレーターは、環境温度、及び、前記海洋タンカーの圧力よりも逐次的に低い圧力にあり、且つ、前記液体混合物は、前記セパレーターにおいてガスと液体に分離する工程と、
前記セパレータータンクから前記ガス及び前記液体をパイプで送る工程と、
を含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
