Abstract
Description
本出願は、2011年10月3日出願の「水晶体破砕システム」という名称の米国特許仮出願第61/542,702号と2011年10月26日出願の「水晶体破砕システム」という名称の米国特許仮出願第61/551,826号との優先権を主張する2012年10月2日出願の「水晶体の破砕のためのシステム及び方法」という名称の米国特許出願第13/633,505号の優先権を主張するものであり、これらの全ては、本明細書にその全内容が引用により組み込まれている。

Claims (21)
- 眼の水晶体を切除する方法であって、
前記水晶体に接近するために外側眼組織を通して接近切開部を作る段階と、
前記接近切開部を通してレーザツールを挿入する段階と、
前記水晶体の一部分を切除するために前記挿入されたレーザツールを使用して電磁エネルギを集束させる段階とを含み、該切除が、該水晶体を前記眼からの除去のために複数の部分に破壊することを特徴とする方法。 - 切除パターンを前記眼の前記水晶体上に投影する段階を更に含み、該切除パターンが、可視光パターンとして投影され、前記電磁エネルギが、該投影されたパターンに従って該水晶体を切除するために該投影されたパターンを通して集束されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記切除パターンの第1の部分が、実質的に円形の形状であり、
前記第1の部分は、前記水晶体の外縁上又はその近くに投影される、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記電磁エネルギは、前記水晶体を取り囲む眼組織から該水晶体を分離するために前記切除パターンの前記第1の部分を通して集束されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記切除パターンの第2の部分が、前記実質的に円形の第1の部分内にあり、
前記電磁エネルギは、前記水晶体を複数の部分に切除するために前記切除パターンの前記第2の部分を通して集束される、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記接近切開部を通して前記複数の部分を除去する段階、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記水晶体は、前記複数の部分への切除の前では前記接近切開部を通じて除去できない大きさであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記接近切開部は、前記水晶体の前又はその上方の外側眼組織を通して作られた切開部であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記接近切開部は、前記水晶体の半径の外側の前記眼の結膜を通して作られた切開部であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記接近切開部を作る前に結膜を静止位置から回転した位置まで回転させる段階と、
前記水晶体の切除に続いて前記結膜を前記回転した位置から前記静止位置まで解放する段階を更に含み、
該結膜が該静止位置にある時に、前記接近切開部が、該結膜が該回転した位置にある時よりも該水晶体から遠くにあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記挿入されたレーザツールは、可撓性レーザ先端であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記可撓性レーザ先端は、側面発射レーザ先端又は放射状発射レーザ先端であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記電磁エネルギは、コンピュータ実施型スキャナを使用して集束されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記レーザツールは、潅注ポートを含み、
前記方法は、
前記潅注ポートからの噴霧を通じて前記水晶体に水を導入する段階、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記集束された電磁エネルギは、前記水と反応して前記水晶体を切除することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記集束された電磁エネルギは、前記水晶体への前記水の導入前には該水晶体を切除しないことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記水晶体は、超音波振動又は他の振動なしで切除されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記レーザツールは、吸入ポートを更に含み、
前記方法は、
前記水晶体の切除に続いて前記吸入ポートを作動し、該水晶体の前記複数の部分を吸引を通じて除去する段階、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記水晶体の前記切除に続いて電磁エネルギを前記眼に残る発芽細胞上に集束させて該発芽細胞を切除する段階、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記水晶体は、白内障治療手順の一部として除去され、
前記方法は、
挿入に続いて前記眼において広げられる折り畳まれた交換水晶体を前記接近切開部を通して該眼の中に挿入する段階、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 眼の水晶体を切除するためのシステムであって、
切除パターンを前記眼の前記水晶体上に投影するように構成された可視光パターン投影器と、
前記眼の接近切開部を通して挿入されるように構成されたレーザツールであって、
噴霧を通じて前記水晶体に水を導入するように構成された潅注ポート、
前記水と反応して前記水晶体を複数の部分に切除する電磁エネルギを前記可視光パターンに従って集束させるように構成された可撓性先端、及び
前記水晶体の切除に続いて該水晶体の前記複数の部分を吸引を通じて除去するように構成された吸入ポート、を含むレーザーツールと、
を含むことを特徴とするシステム。
