Claims (15)

A container for consumer goods,
An outer housing with a box and a lid movable between a closed position and an open position;
Having a first portion mounted in the box and a second portion extending outside the box, wherein the second portion of the inner frame is in the closed position when the lid is in the closed position; The inner frame under the lid,
A detachable adhesive label affixed to the second portion of the inner frame, wherein the inner frame includes at least one indicia at least partially covered by the adhesive label.   The container of claim 1, wherein the inner frame includes a front wall, the front wall having a cutout extending from an upper end of the front wall.   The container of claim 2, wherein the cutout in the front wall occupies from about 30 percent to about 90 percent of the width of the front wall.   4. A container according to claim 2 or claim 3, wherein the at least one indicium is located in a direction transverse to the cutout.   5. A container according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the at least one indicium is located longitudinally adjacent to the cutout.   The container according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the adhesive label has substantially the same appearance as the inner frame.   7. A container according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the adhesive label comprises an adhesive that can be resealed.   The container according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the adhesive label has an adhesive-free portion adjacent to an end of the label.   9. A container according to any preceding claim, wherein the at least one indicia is printed on the inner frame.   10. A container according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the at least one indicia is debossed on the inner frame.   11. The container according to any one of claims 1 to 10, further comprising an inner package of smoking articles in the box, wherein the inner frame is the front wall of the inner package and the front portion of the box. A container according to claim 11, wherein the at least one indicia is formed by at least one cutout in the inner frame such that the inner package is visible through the cutout of the at least one indicia.   13.
