Abstract
Description

Claims (30)
- 被験体の頭部に磁場を印加するためのヘルメットを含む装置であって、当該ヘルメットが、
a.被験体の頭部の少なくとも一部を受けるように構成されるハウジングと;
b.前記ハウジング内の磁石部品であって、当該磁石部品は:
i.第一回転軸を有する第一軸部の周りの第一永久磁石であって、第一軸部が第一永久磁石の動作を駆動するように構成される第一永久磁石;
ii.第二回転軸を有する第二軸部の周りの第二永久磁石であって、第二軸部が第二永久磁石の動作を駆動するように構成される第二永久磁石;および、
iii.第三回転軸を有する第三軸部の周りの第三永久磁石であって、第三軸部が第三永久磁石の動作を駆動するように構成される第三永久磁石、
の1つ以上に接続される第一モーターであって;
当該第一回転軸、第二回転軸および第三回転軸が互いに実質的に平行である、第1モーターを含む磁石部品と;
c.第一永久磁石に接続される第一調節装置を含む、第一適合機構であって、当該第一調節装置の動作がハウジングに対して、第二永久磁石または第三永久磁石から独立して、第一永久磁石を移動させる第一適合機構、
を含むことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記第一調節装置が、ハウジングが被験体の頭部に装着される場合に、ユーザーまたは被験体によってアクセス可能であるように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第一適合機構が、約0.01インチから約0.5インチまで可逆的に第一永久磁石を移動させるように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第一適合機構が、

を含む、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記ハウジングが閉じた構成の場合、前記第一調節装置がユーザーまたは被験体によってアクセス可能になるよう構成されるように、前記ハウジングを外部に延長させる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 第二永久磁石に接続される第二調節装置を有する第二適合機構をさらに含み、当該第二調節装置が、ハウジングが被験体の頭部に装着される場合に、ユーザーまたは被験体によってアクセス可能であり、および、ハウジングが被験体の頭部に装着される場合に、当該第二調節装置の動作が第二永久磁石または第三永久磁石から独立して、第二永久磁石を約0.1ミリメートルから50.0ミリメートルの距離だけ被験体の頭部に対して移動させる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 第三永久磁石に接続される第三調節装置を有する第三適合機構をさらに含み、当該第三調節装置が、ハウジングが被験体の頭部に装着される場合に、ユーザーまたは被験体によってアクセス可能であり、および、ハウジングが被験体の頭部に装着される場合に、当該第三調節装置の動作が第三永久磁石または第三永久磁石から独立して、第二永久磁石を約0.1ミリメートルから50.0ミリメートルの距離だけ被験体の頭部に対して移動させる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 被験体上にヘルメットが配置をされるように、前記ヘルメットが凹曲面を含み:
a.第一永久磁石が被験体の額の近くに配置され;
b.第一永久磁石と額の間の距離が固定され;
c.第三永久磁石が被験体の頭頂の近くに配置され;
d.第二永久磁石が、第一および第三永久磁石の間に配置され;
e.第一および第三永久磁石が第一方向に回転し;および、
f.第二永久磁石が第一方向の反対方向に回転する、
請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記第一永久磁石、第二永久磁石および第三永久磁石の2つ以上のN極−S極軸が、回転運動中に位置合わせされる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第一永久磁石、第二永久磁石および第三永久磁石の2つ以上の中立面が位置合わせされる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- ハウジングが被験体の頭部に装着される場合に、前記第一適合装置が第一モーターと被験体の頭部の間の距離を調節する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ヘルメットの重量が、約4.5キロ未満である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ヘルメットの最大寸法が約40センチメートル未満であり、当該最大寸法はヘルメットの幅、長さ、直径または対角線であり、また当該ヘルメットの最大体積が約0.064立方メートル未満である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ハウジングが、閉じた構成と開いた構成の間で可逆的に変形可能である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ハウジングが上部および下部を含み、当該上部の第一部分および当該下部の第一部分がハウジングの閉じた構成で接続され、および当該上部の第二部分および当該下部の第二部分が、ハウジングの閉じた構成では接続されない、請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記装置がパッドをさらに含み、当該パッドが、ハウジングの凹曲面および被験体の頭部の間に構成される、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記一部が、被験体の前頭葉、頭頂葉、額、頭頂部の領域、またはそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。

- 前記第一永久磁石、第二永久磁石、および第三永久磁石の動作の周波数が等しい、請求項23に記載の装置。
- 前記接続が有線接続、無線接続または両方である、請求項22に記載の装置。
- 前記制御装置がヘルメット内部にはない、または当該制御装置が物理的にヘルメットに取り付けられない、請求項22に記載の装置。
- 前記制御装置が、処理装置、処理装置によって実行可能なコンピュータ可読媒体、ユーザーインターフェース、非一時的なコンピュータ可読媒体を受け取るインターフェース、無線接続、インターネットへの有線接続、電力源への接続、またはそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項22に記載の装置。
