Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an automotive weather strip provided on, for example, an automotive door, and particularly relates to the technical field of the structure of the end portion of a weather strip having a core material.
Generally, an automobile is provided with a weather strip for sealing between a door and an opening of a vehicle body. In the weather strip, a metal reinforcing core may be embedded across both ends in the longitudinal direction (see, for example,
Moreover, in
By the way, in the method of applying a rust inhibitor to the cut end face, the work of thick coating so that the core material does not come out is complicated and takes time. Further, uneven coating may occur and rust may occur on the core material. Moreover, when an operator paints by hand, variation will become large and it may be impossible to prevent rust reliably.
Further, in
Moreover, in
This invention is made | formed in view of this point, The place made into the objective is to prevent a core material from exposing from the terminal part of a weatherstrip, without requiring a complicated operation | work.
In order to achieve the above object, according to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a weather strip for an automobile in which a metal core is embedded in an elastic material. The weather strip includes an outer wall portion located outside the vehicle compartment, and a vehicle compartment. The inner wall portion located on the inner side, the outer wall portion and a connecting wall portion for connecting the inner wall portion, and a long weather strip continuous body is cut to a predetermined length, The end portion of the weather strip is provided with a covering portion that covers the cut end surface, and the covering portion is formed to wrap around at least one side surface of the outer wall portion, the inner wall portion, and the connecting wall portion. It has a protruding part.
According to this configuration, since the cut end surface of the weather strip is covered by the covering portion, when the core material is exposed from the cut end surface, the core material can be covered by the covering portion.
Further, when the continuous weatherstrip is cut into a predetermined length, for example, when a cutting blade is pressed against the core material, the end of the core material is bent, and the outer wall portion and the inner wall surface are bent. It is conceivable that the part protrudes from at least one side surface of the part and the connecting wall part. In this case, since the covering portion has a protruding portion formed so as to wrap around at least one side surface of the outer wall portion, the inner wall portion, and the connecting wall portion, the end portion of the core member protrudes from the side surface. However, it is possible to cover with the protrusion of the covering portion.
According to a second invention, in the first invention, the end portion of the core member is bent so as to protrude from a portion between the outer wall portion and the inner wall portion on the side surface of the connection wall portion, The said covering part has the protrusion part formed so that it might wrap around in the part between the said outer wall part and the said inner wall part in the side surface of the said connection wall part.
According to this structure, since the protrusion part of a coating | coated part wraps around in the part between the outer side wall part and the inner wall part in the side surface of a connection wall part, a coating | coated part does not wrap around outside a weather strip. Thereby, interference with the member arrange | positioned outside a weather strip and a coating | coated part is avoided.
In a third aspect based on the second aspect, the core material continuously extends to the outer wall portion, the connecting wall portion, and the inner wall portion, and is spaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the weather strip. A plurality of plate-like portions arranged in the longitudinal direction of the weather strip, and a connecting portion that connects the plate-like portions adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction of the weather strip. It bends so that it may protrude from the part between a wall part and the said inner wall part.
According to this configuration, the connecting portion of the core member can be made narrower than the plate-like portion, and the connecting portion is cut and protrudes from the side surface of the connecting wall portion. The projecting range can be narrower than the projecting portion. Thereby, a coating | coated part becomes small.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an automotive weather strip in which a metal core is embedded in an elastic material. The weather strip includes an outer wall portion located outside the vehicle compartment, and an inner wall portion located inside the vehicle compartment. And an outer wall portion and a connecting wall portion for connecting the inner wall portion, and a long weather strip continuous body is cut into a predetermined length, and the end portion of the weather strip includes A covering portion covering the cut end surface is provided, and when the weather strip is viewed from the end portion side along the longitudinal direction of the weather strip, a portion overlapping the core material in the covering portion bulges and becomes thick. It is characterized by forming a meat part.
According to this configuration, since the cutting end surface of the weather strip is covered by the covering portion, the core material can be covered when the core material is exposed from the cutting end surface. Since the part which overlaps with the core material in a coating | cover part swells at this time, the thickness of a coating | coated part becomes partially thick. Thereby, for example, the end of the core material can be reliably covered with the covering portion.
In addition, since the portion of the covering portion that does not overlap with the core material can be thinned, it is avoided that the end portion of the weather strip is enlarged due to the provision of the covering portion.
In a fifth aspect based on the fourth aspect, the core member has a plate-like portion that extends continuously to the outer wall portion, the connecting wall portion, and the inner wall portion, and the covering portion is the outer portion. It is formed so that it may extend along the cut end surface of a wall part, the said inner wall part, and the said connection wall part.
According to this configuration, when the plate-like portion of the core material is continuously provided on the outer wall portion, the connecting wall portion, and the inner wall portion of the weather strip, the plate-like portion is prevented from being exposed from the cut end surface. It becomes possible to do.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the end portion of the weather strip is provided with the covering portion that covers the cutting end surface, and the covering portion is formed to wrap around at least one side surface of the outer wall portion, the inner wall portion, and the connecting wall portion. Since the projecting portion is provided, the core material can be prevented from being exposed from the end portion of the weather strip without requiring a complicated operation, and the rust and corrosion of the core material can be suppressed.
According to the second invention, the end portion of the core member is bent so as to protrude from the portion between the outer wall portion and the inner wall portion on the side surface of the connecting wall portion, and the protruding portion of the covering portion is the connecting wall portion. Since it wraps around the portion between the outer wall portion and the inner wall portion on the side surface, interference between the member disposed outside the weather strip and the covering portion can be avoided.
According to the third invention, since the connecting portion that connects the plurality of plate-like portions of the core member protrudes from the side surface of the connecting wall portion of the weather strip, the range in which the plate-like portion protrudes is larger. Can be narrowed. Thereby, since a coating | coated part can be reduced in size, interference with another member can be avoided.
According to the fourth aspect of the invention, since the covering portion covering the cutting end surface is provided at the end portion of the weather strip, and the weather strip is viewed from the end portion side, the portion overlapping the core material in the covering portion is bulged. Thus, the core material can be prevented from being exposed from the end portion of the weather strip without requiring complicated work, and the rust and corrosion of the core material can be suppressed. Moreover, since the part which does not overlap with the core material in a coating | coated part can be thinned, it can avoid that the terminal part of a weather strip enlarges by providing a coating | coated part.
According to the fifth invention, when the plate-like portion of the core material extends continuously to the outer wall portion, the connecting wall portion, and the inner wall portion of the weather strip, the plate-like portion is exposed from the cut end surface. Can be suppressed.

The
As shown in FIG. 3, each plate-
The connecting
The parting portion-
The cutting tool A pushes the connecting
In this embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, a covering
The covering
The thickness (vertical dimension) T1 (shown in FIG. 5) of the
The protruding
Here, the protruding length T2 of the protruding
Note that the protruding
(Effect of Embodiment 1)
As described above, according to the first embodiment, since the
Further, when the end portion of the connecting
Further, when the
(Embodiment 2)
10 to 13 relate to the second embodiment of the present invention, and in this second embodiment, the shape of the covering
As shown in FIG. 10, the covering
As shown in FIG. 12, the thickness T2 of the
(Effect of Embodiment 2)
In the second embodiment, since the
In addition, since the portion of the covering
The above-described embodiment is merely an example in all respects and should not be interpreted in a limited manner. Further, all modifications and changes belonging to the equivalent scope of the claims are within the scope of the present invention.
As described above, the automobile weather strip according to the present invention can be used by being attached to, for example, a door provided on a side portion of the vehicle.
