強力な毒性活性成分・接触毒は、純度100%のDOTの結晶体のみある毒性ですがDOTのパウダーと塩化ナトリムから作られた物質にも純度100%のDOTの結晶体と同様の強力な毒性活性成分・接触毒とみられる毒性でシロアリを駆除する効果のあることが実験で実証されことからこの物質は新たなDOTの結晶体と考えられる。
