特許文献1に示される先行技術は、断熱材で覆われた分だけ防蟻効果が相殺されるであろうし、湿気を遮断するものでもないので、上記で述べた問題点が大いに残ってしまう。
特許文献2に示された先行技術は、あくまでもノミや昆虫の幼虫・成虫の駆除を目的とし、建築基礎工事の防蟻にどのように応用するか等は、全く想定に入っていない。
なお、DOTのパウダーと塩と水から得られる物質にも、純度百%のDOTの結晶体と同様のシロアリ駆除効果のあることが実験で確かめられた。

斯くして、ここに近づくシロアリはDOTを含む結晶体に接触して確実に駆除されると共に、基礎から発生し壁を伝って家屋の腐食を進行させつつシロアリの絶好の生息環境を成立させる湿気を、防水材 によって完全遮断し、且つ防蟻施工による住空間の深刻な化学物質汚染の心配もなく、自然災害による家屋の倒壊流失でもない限り、半永久的に駆除効果が持続する。
以上を特徴とする八ホウ酸二ナトリウム四水和物のパウダーの結晶化を利用したシロアリ駆除の方法である。

I・従来の、基礎コンクリートに防蟻剤を浸潤させる工法に代わって、基礎の型枠外し作業が終わったら、基礎の表面に透湿性のない防水材で防水施工し、
II・八ホウ酸二ナトリウム四水和物(DOT)のパウダ−:塩化ナトリウム(塩):水≒1:1:1を基本重量比率として用意して結晶体作り準備段階に入り、
III・八ホウ酸二ナトリウム四水和物(DOT)と塩化ナトリウム(塩)をしっかり混ぜ合わせて結晶体作り第一段階に進み、
IV・IIIに水を少しずつ加えていくと、直ちに結晶化が始まる結晶体作り第二段階に進み、
