Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an antenna for an RF tag and an RF tag.
近年、物流等の様々な分野において、RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)を利用したRFIDシステムが検討されている。 In recent years, RFID systems using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) have been studied in various fields such as physical distribution.
An RF tag used in the RFID system is provided with an antenna and an IC chip. The RF tag receives the radio wave (carrier wave) transmitted from the reading device with the antenna of the RF tag. Then, identification data or the like recorded on the IC chip is returned to the reading device on the reflected wave. Thus, communication between the RF tag and the reading device can be performed without bringing the reading device into contact with the RF tag. Some readers have a writing function for writing information to an RF tag, such as a reader / writer.
In the RFID system, in order to improve convenience, it is strongly required to further increase the communication distance between the RF tag and the reader.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide an RF tag antenna and an RF tag that can extend the communication distance between the reader and the reader.

Hereinafter, embodiments according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the component which has an equivalent function in each figure.
First, the
As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, the
The
The
As shown in FIG. 1A, the
The
Next, each component of the
The
As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, each of the
The planar shape of the
The total length of the side edges of the
The insulating
The insulating
By providing a plurality of bottomed
Here, the insulating region A <b> 1 is a region in contact with the
When the dielectric constant of the insulating region A1 is smaller than the dielectric constant of the insulating region A2, the
Note that the shape of the bottomed
Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the bottomed
Further, the insulating
The
The short-
The
As illustrated in FIG. 1C, the
As illustrated in FIG. 1A, the
The
The
Next, the operation of the
Here, La is the inductance of the inductor pattern L, Ca is the capacitance of the
With the above-described resonance circuit, the plate-like inverted F antenna can receive radio waves transmitted from the reader with high sensitivity. Therefore, the reading performance of the

In the

(Modification 1)
In the first modification, a plurality of
Note that the dielectric constant may be changed by changing the number of grooves. For example, five
Moreover, the dielectric constants of the insulating region A1 and the insulating region A2 may be different from each other by forming irregularities having shapes other than the stripe-shaped grooves on the first main surface and / or the second main surface. The planar shape of the unevenness may take any shape such as a plurality of concentric circle shapes, a lattice shape, and a wave shape. By forming irregularities having different shapes on the first main surface and the second main surface, the dielectric constants of the insulating region A1 and the insulating region A2 may be different from each other.
The smaller the contact area between the

(Modification 2)
Modification 2 will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 8 shows a cross-sectional view taken along the line II of FIG. 1A in the case of the second modification.
In Modification 2, the insulating

In addition to the first and second modifications, an insulating member having a flat plate portion and a plurality of column portions protruding from the upper surface of the flat plate portion may be used. In this case, the

In the present application, “the waveguide element is in contact with the conductor” includes not only a case where the waveguide element is in direct contact with the conductor but also a state where the waveguide element can be regarded as being electrically connected to the conductor. That is, even when some substance (seal, adhesive, etc.) is sandwiched between the waveguide element and the conductor, the waveguide element is included in the state of contacting the conductor. Further, in the present application, “conductor” is “a general term for substances having a relatively large electrical conductivity”, as in a general dictionary meaning, and a metal is a typical example. However, the “conductor” is not limited to metal, and may be, for example, a human body, vegetation, water, ground, or the like.
In the
The dielectric constant of the insulating region A2 may be larger than the dielectric constant of the insulating region A1. Thereby, the sensitivity of the plate-like inverted F antenna can be further improved, and the communication distance can be extended.

<RFタグ>
<RF tag>
Next, the
As shown in FIG. 10, the
The
In addition, a hole for suspending (not shown) may be provided in the case as an attachment means. In this case, the string is passed through the suspension hole, and the
Note that the case storing the
By configuring the case so that the position of the short-
Further, a biasing member that presses the
For example, as illustrated in FIG. 12, an
As another embodiment relating to the biasing member, as shown in FIG. 13, a protrusion (rib) 602 may be provided on the
Various biasing members other than the above can be assumed. For example, a member made of a shrinkable material such as urethane, a resin spring, or the like may be interposed between the RF tag element and the case as an urging member.
By providing the urging member as described above, the antenna sensitivity of the
Further, the case storing the

FIG. 15 shows a measurement system for measuring the minimum communicable gain of the RF tag element. An RF tag element A or B is attached on the
The set distance D between the RF tag elements A and B and the
As a result of measurement using the above measurement system, the minimum communicable gain of the RF tag element A was 16.5 dB. On the other hand, the minimum communicable gain of the RF tag element B using the polystyrene foam plate was 19.8 dB. From this, it can be seen that the RF tag element A has significantly improved antenna sensitivity than the RF tag element B.
Since the dielectric constant of the ABS resin (dielectric constant 3.1) is larger than that of the polystyrene foam (dielectric constant 2.1), the RF tag element A is more suitable for the RF tag element B if the insulating member has the same shape. As a result, the gain of the
