Claims (15)
- 水和状態インジケータであって、
水密シェルと、
水分子を通過させ少なくとも一つの溶質の分子の通過を妨げるように構成される半透膜と、
前記シェルと前記膜で囲まれる吸水性インジケータ層であって、既定浸透力を持ち、当該インジケータ層の少なくとも一部の体積が当該インジケータ層の水分量に依存して可変である、吸水性インジケータ層と、
前記インジケータ層の少なくとも一部の体積に依存して可変である出力を提供するように構成される出力手段と
を有する水和状態インジケータ。 - 前記インジケータ層の光学特性が前記インジケータ層の少なくとも一部の体積に依存して可変であり、前記出力手段が前記シェルに設けられる透明窓を有する、請求項1に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 前記インジケータ層が、
第一の屈折率を持つ吸水性材料の層であって、当該吸水性材料の層の厚さがその水分量に依存して可変である、吸水性材料の層と、
前記吸水性材料の層と第一の隣接材料の間の第一の界面と、
前記吸水性材料の層と第二の隣接材料の間の第二の界面と、
を有し、
前記インジケータ層がダイクロイックフィルタとして機能するよう、前記第一の隣接材料と前記第二の隣接材料が各々前記第一の屈折率と異なる屈折率を持つ、
請求項2に記載の水和状態インジケータ。 - 前記第一の隣接材料及び/又は前記第二の隣接材料が吸水性材料の追加層を有し、前記吸水性材料の追加層の厚さがその水分量に依存して可変である、請求項3に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 前記インジケータ層が、第一の材料の粒子が第二の材料に懸濁したフォトニックコロイド結晶を有し、前記第二の材料が吸水性であり、前記第一の材料の粒子間の分離が前記第二の材料の水分量に依存して可変である、請求項2に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 前記インジケータ層が、各々がディレクタ軸を持つ複数のコレステリック液晶を有するコレステリック液晶材料を有し、材料中のコレステリック液晶のディレクタ軸の変動周期が前記コレステリック液晶材料の水分量に依存して可変である、請求項2に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 光拡散材料を有し、当該光拡散材料が、シェルに、及び/又は前記インジケータ層と前記シェルの間に設けられる光拡散層に、及び/又は前記シェルの外面上に設けられる光拡散層に、含まれる、請求項2から6のいずれか一項に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 前記インジケータ層の電気特性が前記インジケータ層の少なくとも一部の体積に依存して可変であり、前記出力手段が、
前記インジケータ層に電気的に接続されるディスプレイ、
前記インジケータ層に電気的に接続されるバイブレータ、
前記インジケータ層に電気的に接続されるスピーカ、及び
前記インジケータ層に電気的に接続される無線通信送信器
の一つ以上を有する、請求項1に記載の水和状態インジケータ。 - 前記電気特性がコンダクタンスであり、前記インジケータ層が第二の材料に懸濁した第一の材料の粒子を有し、前記第二の材料が吸水性であり、前記第一の材料の粒子間の分離が前記第二の材料の水分量に依存して可変であり、前記第一及び第二の材料の一方が比較的低いコンダクタンスを持つか若しくはコンダクタンスを持たず、前記第一及び第二の材料の他方が比較的高いコンダクタンスを持つ、請求項8に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 前記電気特性がコンダクタンスであり、前記インジケータ層が吸水性マトリクス材料中の塩イオンを有する、請求項8に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 前記電気特性がキャパシタンスであり、前記インジケータ層が第一及び第二の導電プレートと、前記第一及び第二の導電プレート間の非導電性材料の層とを有し、前記非導電性材料が吸水性であり、前記非導電性材料の厚さがその水分量に依存して可変である、請求項8に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 前記出力手段が前記インジケータ層の少なくとも一部の体積変化に応じて画像及び/又はテキストを表示するように構成される、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 前記インジケータ層が第一の領域及び隣接する第二の領域を有し、前記第一の領域の光学特性が前記インジケータ層の少なくとも一部の所与の体積変化に応じて第一の量だけ変化し、前記第二の領域の光学特性が前記所与の体積変化に応じて第二の異なる量だけ変化する、請求項2に従属する請求項12に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 既定浸透力が健常ヒト組織の浸透力に実質的に等しい、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の水和状態インジケータ。
- 請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載の水和状態インジケータにおける使用のために構成されるインジケータ層であって、前記インジケータ層が既定浸透力を持つ吸水性材料を有し、前記インジケータ層の少なくとも一部の体積が前記インジケータ層の水分量に依存して可変である、インジケータ層。
