Abstract
Description
上の表1からわかるように、日亜757のLEDデバイスは概して236のルーメン/ワット値を有する。シリコーン中の封止材としてNdF3を使用すると、CRI(演色/彩度評価数)は92、R9(赤色チップの演色値)は60の値、色域指数(GAI)は49、放射光のLPIに基づく顕現度(本発明で定義するもの)は110である。LEDチップのTG66アレイ(COBアレイ)をNdF3含有のシリコーン中に封止する場合、CRIは90、R9値は39、GAIは50、「顕現度」は同じく110である。これらの値は、表1の最下行に示す、白色LEDをNdガラスと組合せたときのカラーフィルタリング効果よりも好ましい。3つのケースすべてについて、色度座標(CCXとCCY)及びCCT(相関色温度)の値を参考として示している。
Nd2O3は他より屈折率が高いため、散乱損失もNdFOとNdF3のいずれか一方より大きくなるだろうことが留意される。しかし、CSIとLPIのバランスの面ではNdFOのほうが性能が優れている。NdF3等のNd・F化合物は、単独であれNdFO材料との混合物であれ、Nd2O3に比べて屈折率が低く、散乱損失が最小限に抑えられる。さらに、NdF3等のNd・F化合物は、単独であれNdFO材料との混合物であれ、Nd2O3に比べて、LED光のスペクトルに対して望ましい黄色吸収ピークを実現でき、(ルーメン数が低下する欠点があるものの)CSI値が向上する。色度座標(CCXとCCY)、CCT及びCRIの値も4つのすべてのケースについて示している。
Claims (20)
- 可視光を発生するように構成された1以上の発光ダイオード(LED)モジュールと、
ネオジム(Nd)元素及びフッ素(F)元素を含む化合物を含む1以上の構成要素であって、発生した可視光を化合物によってフィルタリングすることによって所望の光スペクトルを与えるように構成された、1以上の構成要素と
を備える装置。 - 化合物がNd3+イオン及びF・イオンを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 1以上のLEDモジュールが有機LEDを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 1以上の構成要素が、1以上のLEDモジュールの上面に堆積された封止層である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 封止層が、ガラス、ポリマー、ポリマー前駆体、熱可塑性又は熱硬化性ポリマー又は樹脂、エポキシ、シリコーン或いはシリコーンエポキシ樹脂である、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 1以上の構成要素が蛍光体をさらに含む、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 1以上の構成要素が封止層であって、当該装置が、蛍光体を含む別個の層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 化合物が、Nd・F化合物及びNd・X・F化合物の1種以上を含む(式中、XはO、N、S、Cl、OH、Na、K、Al、Mg、Li、Ca、Sr、Ba及びYの1種以上である。)、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 化合物がNdF3及びNdFOの1種以上である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 1以上の構成要素が光学素子であって、光学素子が、表面に皮膜が設けられた透明、半透明又は反射性基材を備え、皮膜が、Nd及びFを含む化合物を含んでいて、発生した可視光のフィルタリングによって所望の光スペクトルを与える、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 皮膜中の化合物の重量百分率が約1%〜約20%である、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 皮膜の厚さが約50nm〜約1000μmである、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 皮膜が、前記化合物よりも屈折率の大きい添加剤をさらに含有し、添加剤が金属酸化物及び非金属酸化物から選択される、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 添加剤が、TiO2、SiO2及びAl2O3からなる群から選択される、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 皮膜が基材の内面に被覆される、請求項10に記載の装置。
