Description

The present invention relates to a method for knitting a tubular knitted fabric having an inclined edge formed by turn knitting using a flat knitting machine.

Conventionally, knitwear (tubular knitted fabric) having a heel has been knitted using a flat knitting machine. In order to knit knitwear having ridges, first, turn-back knitting is performed by sequentially shifting the turn-back position outward in the knitting width direction, and the end stitches on the turn-back end side are locked to the needle bed, and the end stitches are stitched. Form a neckline consisting of Then, the kites are organized following the neckline.

Here, when knitting a U-shaped or V-shaped neck hole having an inclined edge with an angle with respect to the width direction (knitting width direction) of the knitwear, the neck hole is larger than the circumference of the neck hole. There is a problem in that the number of stitches arranged in a row is insufficient and the neck hole shrinks. As a technique for solving such problems, for example, techniques described in Patent Documents 1 and 2 can be cited.

In Patent Documents 1 and 2, when forming a neckline by turning knitting, the stitches of the right front body and the left front body of the knitwear that are locked to the needle bed are moved away from the center of the knitwear. Next, when performing turn-up knitting, an additional stitch is formed on the knitting needle that has become a blank needle by the movement of the stitch. Then, the additional stitch is removed from the knitting of the next course and the above-described stitch movement and turn-back knitting are repeated. By performing this series of knitting, the number of stitches arranged on the inclined edge of the neckline is increased, thereby solving the above-mentioned problems.

International Publication No. 2010/084556

In the knitting methods of Patent Documents 1 and 2, since the stitch row knitted by the turn knitting in the middle of the repetition of the turn knitting is moved to the outside in the knitting width direction (direction away from the center of the tubular knitted fabric), The tissue pattern formed on the body may incline toward the outside in the knitting width direction.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and the object thereof is sufficient for the inclined edge portion without moving the stitch row knitted by the turn back knitting in the middle of the turn back knitting to the outside in the knitting width direction. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for knitting a tubular knitted fabric capable of forming a number of stitches.

[工程A]…
The knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric according to the present invention includes the forward knitting and the backward knitting during the knitting of the tubular knitted fabric using a flat knitting machine having at least a first needle bed and a second needle bed facing forward and backward. And a knitting method of a tubular knitted fabric in which an inclined edge portion is formed on a part of the tubular knitted fabric by repeating the knitting of the knitted fabric and gradually reducing the knitting width of the turned back knitting. In the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, the following steps A to C are performed.
[Step A]... Repeating the turn knitting n times the same for the end stitches on the turn back end side with respect to the tubular knitted fabric portion locked to the first needle bed and the second needle bed. In this step, unit knitting as a unit is performed a plurality of times while gradually moving the position of the end stitch, and the turn stitch and the additional stitch constituting the inclined edge portion are knitted. The turn back stitch in the step A is an existing stitch adjacent to the turn back end side of the end stitch of the forward knitting from the end of the forward knitting to the start of the return knitting in the first turn knitting of each unit knitting. Organize against. The additional stitch is knitted at a position near the terminal stitch of the m-th forward knitting from the end of the forward knitting to the start of the backward knitting in the m-th turn knitting of each unit knitting. However, m and n are 2 or 3, and it is m <= n. That is, when the unit knitting repetition number n is 2, the additional knitting is knitted at the second unit knitting. When the unit knitting repetition number n is 3, the additional knitting is knitted at the second or third unit knitting.
[Step B] Step after step A, using racking and transfer to rearrange the turned-up stitches and the additional stitches in a state of being arranged in the knitting width direction in the order of formation from the turned-up end side. In rearrangement, the interval between the stitches to be aligned should be the same as the interval between the stitches in the tubular knitted fabric portion. For example, when the tubular knitted fabric portion is knitted in a total needle state where there are no empty needles between adjacent stitches, the stitches aligned in the step B are also set in the total needle state. When the tubular knitted fabric portion is knitted in a needle-extracted state in which empty needles are provided between adjacent stitches, the stitches aligned in step B are also in the needle-extracted state.
[Step C] Step of knitting a new stitch continuously in the wale direction of the stitch at the inclined edge.

As an embodiment of the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, the n is 3, the m is 2, and the following step D can be further performed.
[Step D] A step of knitting an additional additional stitch at a position near the last stitch of the third forward knitting from the end of the forward knitting in the third turn knitting to the start of the backward knitting.
In that case, in the step B, the turned-up stitches, the increased stitches, and the additional increased stitches are rearranged in a state of being arranged in the order of formation from the turned-up end side.

As one form of the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, a tuck stitch is knitted as the turn back stitch, and an empty needle near the terminal stitch of the forward knitting in the m-th turn back knitting is used as the increase stitch. The form which knits a hook can be mentioned. Further, when the process D is performed, the additional extra line may be a hook.

As one form of the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric according to the present invention, a separation portion where the knitted fabric is separated is formed in the knitting width of the tubular knitted fabric, and the two inclined edge portions are arranged at positions sandwiching the separation portion. Can be formed by alternately performing the turn-up knitting for forming one of the inclined edge portions and the turn-up knitting for forming the other inclined edge portion.

As one form of the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, the flat knitting machine includes a third needle bed arranged above the first needle bed and a first needle bed arranged above the second needle bed. A four-bed flat knitting machine including a four-needle bed, and in the turn-back knitting, there can be mentioned a form in which total needle knitting is performed without providing empty needles between adjacent stitches. In that case, in the first turn back knitting, the tuck stitch is knitted as the turn back stitch, and in the m th turn back knitting, the third needle bed or the fourth needle bed is used as the additional stitch. Knit the stitches on the empty needles. Further, when the process D is performed, an additional additional stitch made up of hooks may be knitted on the empty needle of the needle bed facing the additional stitch among the third and fourth needle beds.

In the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric according to the present invention, the stitch formed on the tubular knitted fabric is not moved to the outside in the knitting width direction while the turn knitting is repeated. It can suppress that it inclines toward the outer side of a direction.

Further, in the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, the turnover stitches and the stitches which are the stitches of the inclined edge portion (and the additional increase stitches) while the turnup knitting is performed twice or three times at the same turnback end position. A sufficient number of stitches can be formed on the inclined edge. Therefore, for example, if a neckline having an inclined edge is formed by the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention, the neckline can be prevented from shrinking to a small extent.

Since the knitting of the tack and the hook can be easily performed, the inclined edge can be formed efficiently.

In the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric according to the present invention, two inclined edges sandwiching the separation portion are efficiently formed by alternately performing the turning knitting of one inclined edge and the turning knitting of the other inclined edge. can do.

According to the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention in which full needle knitting is performed with a four-bed flat knitting machine, a tubular knitted fabric with stitches can be knitted.

<Embodiment 1>
In the first embodiment, an example in which a neckline is formed on a sweater (cylindrical knitted fabric) having a body and a sleeve using the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention will be described.

A sweater 100 (tubular knitted fabric) shown in FIG. 1 includes a body 50 and set-in type sleeves (left sleeve 61 and right sleeve 62). For convenience, the body 50 can be divided into a left front body 51, a right front body 52, and a back body 53. The body 50 is formed with a neckline 70 having a substantially U-shaped front body side, and the neckline 70 is provided with a cylindrical collar 80. By this neckline 70, a separation portion 50d in which the left front body 51 and the right front body 52 are separated is formed. In order to knit the sweater 100 using the flat knitting machine, the body 50 and the sleeves 61 and 62 are knitted to the position of the lower end portion 73 of the neckline 70, and then the body 61 is formed while the sleeves 61 and 62 are knitted and reduced. 50 and the outline of the neckline 70 are formed. Then, the heel 80 is knitted by circular knitting continuously to the stitches constituting the neckline 70.

The neckline 70 of the sweater 100 is formed with inclined edges 71 and 72 extending obliquely upward from the lower end 73 thereof (that is, a direction intersecting both the knitting width direction and the wale direction of the sweater 100). The inclined edge 71 (72) is formed by gradually changing the position of the turn-back end of the turn-up knitting to the outside of the left front body 51 (right front body 52). The knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention is used to form the inclined edges 71 and 72.

First, an outline of the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric of the present invention will be described with reference to the knitting image diagram of FIG. The knitting image diagram of FIG. 2 is a knitting image diagram based on the premise that total needle knitting is performed with a four-bed flat knitting machine having a pair of front and rear needle beds in two stages. In the figure, square frames indicate stitches, V-shapes indicate tacks or hooks, and thick arrows indicate the direction of forward knitting and backward knitting of turn-back knitting. The side (left side of the drawing) where the forward knitting is changed to the backward knitting is the turn-back end side. The lowermost stitch (frame) in the figure is a base stitch row 10b that is a part of a cylindrical knitted fabric portion that is locked to the front and back needle beds. In the example of FIG. 2, the stitches of the inclined edge 71 are knitted on the base stitch row 10b (step A).

In step A, unit knitting is repeated with two turn-back knitting as one unit. The position of the end stitch 11 of the forward knitting 1A and the start stitch 13 of the return knitting 1B in the first turn knitting, and the end stitch 21 of the forward knitting 2A and the start stitch 23 of the return knitting 2B in the second turn knitting are knitted widths. In the same direction. That is, the start stitch 13 is knitted continuously in the wale direction of the end stitch 11, the end stitch 21 is knitted continuously in the wale direction of the start stitch 13, and the start stitch 23 is knitted continuously in the wale direction of the end stitch 21. Is done. A new stitch row for four stages is knitted in one unit knitting. When performing the next unit organization, the turn-back position is shifted by one line to the right side of the page.

Between the end of the forward knitting 1A and the start of the backward knitting 1B in the first turn back knitting of the two turn back knittings, the existing stitch 10 adjacent to the turn back end side of the terminal stitch 11 of the forward knitting 1A is applied. Tucking is performed, and the turn back stitch 12 composed of the tuck stitch is knitted. Further, between the end of the forward knitting 2A and the start of the backward knitting 2B in the second turn back knitting, the additional stitch 22 is knitted on the back end side with respect to the terminal stitch 21 of the forward knitting 2A. The additional stitch 22 is a hook formed on an empty needle in the vicinity of the terminal stitch 21, for example, an empty needle on the needle bed above the needle bed to which the turn-back stitch 12 is locked.

Next, the turn back stitches 12 and the additional stitches 22 knitted in the step A are rearranged in a state in which they are arranged in the formation order from the turn back end side (step B). In the example of FIG. 2, the lower turn-up stitch 12, the lower increase stitch 22, the upper turn-up stitch 12, and the upper increase stitch 22 are arranged in this order from the left side (turning end side) of the sheet using transfer and racking. Like that.

Next, a specific knitting process of the neckline 70 of FIG. 1 will be described based on FIGS. In the figure, “S + number” is the number of the knitting process, FD is the lower front needle bed (first needle bed), FU is the upper front needle bed (third needle bed), and BD is the lower rear needle bed (first needle bed). 2 needle bed), BU indicates the upper back needle bed (fourth needle bed). The BD and BU can be racked to the left and right with respect to the FD and FU, and the stitches can be transferred between the front and back needle beds. The meanings of the marks in the figure are as follows. The portion related to the knitting operation in each knitting step is indicated by a thick line, and the stitch newly knitted in the step is indicated by being filled. The arrows shown in the figure indicate the movement of the stitch by the transfer performed using the empty needles of the opposing needle beds and the racking of the needle beds.

3 shows a state in which the sweater 100 of FIG. 1 is knitted to the position of the lower end 73 of the neckline 70. Of the tubular knitted fabric portions locked to the FD and BD, the stitch row locked to the FD is a base stitch row 10b (see FIG. 2). From this state, the knitting method of the tubular knitted fabric according to the present invention. The inclined edges 71 and 72 are knitted using In S1, the forward knitting 1A of the inclined edge 71 that moves the yarn feeder in the left direction is performed, and the stitches of the left sleeve 61 and the left front body 51 are knitted by FD (see also FIG. 2).

In S2, the yarn feeder is moved to the right and the existing stitch 10 (see S0) is tacked to knitting the turn stitches 12 made of the tack stitches, and then the backward knitting 1B of the inclined edge 71 is performed by FD. . The start stitch 13 of the return knitting 1B is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the terminal stitch 11 (see S1) of the forward knitting 1A. Here, the turn-back stitch 12 can be knitted when the yarn feeder is moved leftward in S1.

Further, in S2, the yarn feeder is moved leftward, and the knitting of the rear knitted fabric portion (61, 53, 62) is knitted by BD, and then the forward knitting of the inclined edge portion 72 that moves the yarn feeder in the right direction. Perform 1C. By the forward knitting 1C, the stitches of the right sleeve 62 and the right front body 52 are knitted by FD.

In S3, the yarn feeder is moved to the left, and the existing stitch 19 (see S2) is tacked to knitting the turn stitch 15 composed of the tack stitch, and then the backward knitting 1D of the inclined edge 72 is performed by FD. . The starting stitch 16 of the backward knitting 1D is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the terminal stitch 14 of the outward knitting 1C.

In S3, the yarn feeder is moved rightward, the stitches of the rear knitted fabric portion are knitted by BD, and then the second forward knitting 2A of the inclined edge portion 71 that moves the yarn feeder leftward is performed. The forward knitting 2A is performed by FD, and the terminal stitch 21 of the forward knitting 2A is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the starting stitch 13 (see S2) of the backward knitting 1B.

In S4 of FIG. 4, the yarn feeder is moved to the right, and after the knitting stitch 22 is knitted to the empty needle of the FU above the turn back stitch 12, the second return knitting of the inclined edge 71 is performed by FD. Perform 2B. The start stitch 23 of the backward knitting 2B is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the terminal stitch 21 (see S3) of the forward knitting 2A. Here, the additional stitch 22 can be knitted when the yarn feeder is moved leftward in S3.

In S4, the yarn feeder is further moved leftward, the stitches of the rear knitted fabric portion are knitted with BD, and then the second outward knitting 2C of the inclined edge portion 72 that moves the yarn feeder rightward is performed. The forward knitting 2C is performed by FD, and the terminal stitch 24 of the forward knitting 2C is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the starting stitch 16 (see S3 in FIG. 3) of the backward knitting 1D.

In S5, the yarn feeder is moved in the left direction, and after the knitting stitches 25 are formed on the empty needles of the FU above the turning stitch 15, the second return knitting 2D of the inclined edge 72 is performed by FD. . The starting stitch 26 of the return knitting 2D is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the terminal stitch 24 (see S4) of the outward knitting 2C. Here, the additional stitch 25 can be knitted to the empty needle of BU. Further, the additional stitch 25 may be deviated from the turning stitch 15 by about one or two stitches in the knitting width direction.

In S5, the yarn feeder is further moved in the right direction, the stitches of the rear knitted fabric portion are knitted with BD, and then the forward knitting 1A of the inclined edge portion 71 in which the yarn feeder is moved in the left direction is performed. This forward knitting 1A is a part of a new unit knitting different from the unit knitting composed of the two turn back knitting performed in S1 to S4 (forward knitting 1A + return knitting 1B + forward knitting 2A + return knitting 2B). Therefore, the terminal stitch 11 of the forward knitting 1A in S5 is formed at a position shifted outward from the starting stitch 23 in S4 by one stitch.

After S5, the starting end stitch 23 of S4 is defined as the existing stitch 10 when the inclined edge 71 is knitted, and the starting stitch 26 of S5 is defined as the existing stitch 19 when knitting the inclined edge 72. Define and repeat the same knitting as S2-S5. During the repetition, the knitting width of the left sleeve 61 and the right sleeve 62 is gradually reduced, and when the sleeves 61 and 62 are eliminated, the knitting width of the body 50 is also gradually reduced. Since a method of joining the front and rear knitted fabric portions while gradually reducing the knitting width is known, detailed description thereof is omitted here.

S6 shows a state in which the knitting of the stitches constituting the inclined edge portions 71 and 72 (return stitches 12 and 15 and the additional stitches 22 and 25) has been completed. The knitting of the sleeves 61 and 62 (see FIG. 1) is completed at the stage of S6, and the knitting widths of the left front body 51, the right front body 52, and the back body 53 are also narrower than at S0 in FIG. . The body 51, 52, 53 is removed from the FD, BD by the bind-off process or the like from the state of S6, and the state shown in S7 is obtained. The shoulder line of the sweater 100 of FIG. 1 is formed by the bind off process of S6.

From the state shown in S7, the turn back stitches 12 and 15 and the additional stitches 22 and 25 shown in S6 are aligned. Here, after S7, the turn back stitches 12 (15) and the additional stitches 22 (25) of the inclined edge 71 (72) will be described with reference numerals 1 to 8 in the formation order. Specifically, the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th stitches are turn-back stitches 12 (15), and the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th stitches are additional stitches 22 (25).

In S8 of FIG. 5, the BD and BU are racked 1 pitch in the left direction, and the eighth stitch formed on the inclined edge 71 (additional stitch 22 of S6) is on the right side of the back body 53 locked to the BD. (In the sweater 100 of FIG. 1, the left sleeve 61 side). In S8, the stitch at the left end of the back body 53 that is locked to the BD is placed on the left side of the seventh stitch formed on the inclined edge 71 that is locked to the FD (the turn back stitch 15 of S6). Move. In S8, it may be considered that the stitches locked to the FD and BD are turned counterclockwise.

After S8, the turning stitches 1, 3, 5, 7 and the additional stitches 2, 4, 7 of the inclined edge portion 71 in the circumferential direction of the tubular knitted fabric 100 are carried out by turning using racking and stitch movement as in S8. 6 and 8 are arranged (see S9). When turning, make sure that the number of stitches locked to the FD and the number of stitches locked to the BD are almost the same, preventing the knitting yarn from being cut at both ends in the knitting width direction. To do.

After S9, the stitches locked to the FD and BD are turned clockwise, and the stitches of the inclined edge portion 72 (return stitches 1, 3, 5, 7 and additional stitches 2, 4, 6, 8) The cylindrical knitted fabric 100 is arranged in the circumferential direction (see S10).

After S10, after turning in counterclockwise so that the lower end portion 73 is arranged at the center in the knitting width direction, the heel 80 shown in FIG. 1 is knitted by cylindrical knitting (step C). As a result, the sweater 100 shown in FIG. 1 can be completed.

In the sweater 100 obtained through the knitting process, every time the left front body 51 (right front body 52) is knitted in four stages, the stitches of the inclined edge portion 71 (72) are knitted twice. Therefore, it is avoided that the neckline of the inclined edge portions 71 and 72 is insufficient and the neckline 70 (the collar 80) is contracted to a small size, and a crease or a hole is generated between the left front body 51 (the right front body 52) and the neckline 70. can do. As a result, it is possible to form the deep bore 70 having the inclined edges 71 and 72 having a large inclination angle.

In the knitting step, the stitches of the left front body 51 (the right front body 52) are not moved outward in the knitting width direction while the stitches of the inclined edges 71 and 72 are knitted. Therefore, in the sweater 100 of this example, even if a tissue pattern is knitted on the left front body 51 (right front body 52), the tissue pattern does not appear to be inclined outward in the knitting width direction.

<Embodiment 2>
In the first embodiment, the knitting of the set-in type sweater has been described. In contrast, knitting of a raglan type sweater will be described with reference to FIG.

In the raglan type sweater, the joint line between the sleeve and the body extends obliquely from the armpit toward the neckline. In such a sweater, when the turn back stitches 12 and 15 and the additional stitches 22 and 25 of the inclined edge portions 71 and 72 are knitted in the same procedure as in the first embodiment, the state becomes T0 in FIG.

As shown at T0, in the raglan type sweater, when the stitches of the inclined edges 71 and 72 are formed, the stitches of the left sleeve 61 and the right sleeve 62 are still in the needle bed. In the course of sequentially reducing the sleeves 61, 62, it is necessary to finish the alignment of the turn back stitches 1, 3, 5, 7 and the additional stitches 2, 4, 6, 8.

In order to align the stitches of the inclined edges 71 and 72 from the state of T0, as shown in T1, first, the left sleeve 61 (right sleeve 62) locked to the FD and BD is placed outside in the knitting width direction (knitting). Move to the side away from the center of the ground). In order to move the sleeves 61 and 62 locked to the FD (BD) to the outside in the knitting width direction, a BU (FU) empty needle may be used. As the sleeves 61 and 62 move, empty needles for moving the stitches are formed between the back body 53 and the left sleeve 61 (right sleeve 62) of the BD. 8 is turned back and moved to the outside of the stitch 7. The reason why a blank needle for movement is provided on the BD is that a stitch cannot be moved between FU and BU with a commercially available flat knitting machine. Thereafter, it is preferable to align the back stitches 1, 3, 5, and 7 and the additional stitches 2, 4, 6, and 8 by using the BD blank needle. Again, the stitches at both ends in the knitting width direction of the FD are turned into the BD along with the alignment of the stitches.

<Embodiment 3>
In the third embodiment, when the inclined edges 71 and 72 shown in FIG. 1 are knitted, unit knitting is performed with three turn knitting as a unit, and additional knitting is knitted in addition to the turn back stitch and the additional stitch. An example will be described based on the knitting process diagram of FIG.

In the third embodiment, the steps up to S4 in FIG. When S4 is finished, the second return knitting 2B of the inclined edge 71 and the second outward knitting 2C of the inclined edge 72 are finished.

In S5 of FIG. 7, after knitting the additional stitch 25 including the hook on the empty needle of the FU above the FD in which the turn-up stitch 15 is knitted, the rearward knitting 2D → BD rear side of the inclined edge 72 Knitting of the knitted fabric portion → The third outward knitting 3A of the inclined edge portion 71 is performed. The terminal stitch 31 of the forward knitting 3A is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the starting stitch 23 of the backward knitting 2B shown in S4 of FIG.

In S6, after knitting an additional additional stitch 32 consisting of hooks on the BU's empty needle opposite to the FU knitted with the additional stitch 22, the third backward knitting portion 3B → BD rear knitted fabric portion of the inclined edge 71 Knitting → The third outward knitting 3C of the inclined edge portion 72 is performed. The start stitch 33 of the return knitting 3B is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the end stitch 31, and the end stitch 34 of the outward knitting 3C is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the start stitch 26 of the second return knitting 2D of S5. .

In S7, after knitting an additional increase stitch 35 consisting of a hook on the BU needle facing the FU knitting the increase stitch 25, the third backward knitting portion 3D → BD rear knitted fabric portion of the inclined edge 72 First knitting 1A of new unit knitting is performed. The starting stitch 36 of the return knitting 3D is continuously knitted in the wale direction of the terminal stitch 34, and the terminal stitch 11 of the forward knitting 1A is knitted at a position shifted from the starting stitch 33 to the outside of the first stitch in S6. Here, in the third embodiment, the additional stitches 22 and 25 can be knitted into BU. In that case, the additional additional stitches 32 and 35 are knitted to the FU empty needle. Further, the turn back stitches 12 (15), the additional stitches 22 (25), and the additional additional stitches 32 (35) do not have to be formed at the same position in the knitting width direction, and may be shifted left and right.

After S7, the same knitting as S2 to S4 (see FIGS. 3 and 4) of the first embodiment and S5 to S7 of the third embodiment is repeated, and other than the inclined edges 71 and 72 as in the first embodiment. As shown in S8, the knitting width of the portion is reduced, and the stitches constituting the neckline 70 of FIG. 1 are locked to the needle bed.

After S8, the turn-up stitches 12 and 15 are aligned with the additional stitches 22 and 25 and the additional additional stitches 32 and 35. The alignment of the stitches can be appropriately performed based on the method shown in FIG. When the alignment of the stitches is completed, the heel 80 of FIG. 1 is knitted.

The sweater knitted in the third embodiment may be a raglan sweater. In that case, the inclined edges 71 and 72 may be knitted in the same manner as the knitting step described above. In addition, the stitches can be appropriately aligned based on the method shown in FIG.

<Embodiment 4>
In Embodiments 1 to 3, the knitting of the inclined edge using the four-bed flat knitting machine has been described. On the other hand, the inclined edge can be knitted using a two-bed flat knitting machine. When a two-bed flat knitting machine is used, needle knitting is performed in which empty needles are provided between adjacent stitches. A knitting example of an inclined edge portion using a two-bed flat knitting machine will be briefly described with reference to FIG.

In the description of the fourth embodiment, it is assumed that there is a blank needle between the stitches in FIG. In that case, the turn stitch 12 is knitted by tacking the existing stitch 10 between the first forward knitting 1A and the return knitting 1B. Then, between the second outward knitting 2A and the backward knitting 2B, an additional stitch 22 consisting of hooks is knitted on the empty needle between the turn back stitch 12 and the terminal stitch 11. In this case, since there is no empty needle between the turning back stitch 12 and the additional stitch 22, using a racking and transfer, the needle is pulled out with the empty needle formed between the turning back stitch 12 and the increasing stitch 22. Align.

By aligning the turn back stitch 12 and the additional stitch 22 in a needle-out state, the sizes of the stitches of the heel 80 knitted following the neckline 70 in FIG. 1 can be made uniform.

The turning back stitch 12 and the additional stitch 22 can be knitted by splitting up. For example, when the existing stitch 10 is split and the turn stitch 12 is knitted, if the split is added to the existing stitch 10, the existing stitch 10 is moved to the opposite needle bed, and the existing stitch 10 is engaged. The stitch pulled out from the stitch 10 (return stitch 12) is engaged with the stopped knitting needle. The existing stitch 10 is moved to the empty needle between the turning back stitch 12 and the terminal stitch 11 before the second forward knitting 2A. Similarly, the additional stitches 22 may be knitted by returning the stitches that have moved to the opposing needle beds to the original needle beds due to the split increase. Even when the split is increased, racking and transfer are used to align the needles in a state where empty needles are formed between the turn back stitches 12 and the additional stitches 22.

By knitting the reverse stitch 12 and the additional stitch 22 by increasing the split, the stitches are clogged in the vicinity of the inclined edge 71. As a result, when the flange 80 (see FIG. 1) is formed on the inclined edge 71, it is difficult to form a large hole near the inclined edge 71, and the vicinity of the inclined edge 71 can be finished cleanly.
