Claims (20)
- 液体を吸収して相互に接着する複数の粒状体からなる吸水処理材を製造する方法であって、
被造粒材料を造粒することにより、前記各粒状体を構成する略円柱状の造粒物を形成する造粒工程と、
前記造粒工程において形成された前記造粒物に対して当該造粒物の長さ方向から圧力を加えることにより、当該造粒物の長さを小さくする加圧工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記造粒工程においては、押出造粒機を用いて前記造粒物を形成する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記加圧工程においては、前記造粒物の長さを10%以上小さくする吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項3に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記加圧工程においては、前記造粒物の長さを20%以上小さくする吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至4の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記造粒工程においては、長さが直径よりも大きい前記造粒物を形成し、
前記加圧工程においては、前記造粒物の長さが前記直径以下となるように、当該造粒物の長さを小さくする吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記加圧工程においては、前記造粒物の長さが当該造粒物の直径の60%以上80%以下となるように、当該造粒物の長さを小さくする吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至6の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記加圧工程においては、互いに対向する第1及び第2の加圧面を有する加圧機を用いて、前記造粒物の一端が前記第1の加圧面に当接するとともに当該造粒物の他端が前記第2の加圧面に当接した状態で、前記第2の加圧面を前記第1の加圧面に近づけることにより、当該造粒物に対して前記圧力を加える吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項7に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記加圧工程においては、複数の前記造粒物の一端が前記第1の加圧面に当接するとともに当該複数の造粒物の他端が前記第2の加圧面に当接した状態で、前記第2の加圧面を前記第1の加圧面に近づけることにより、当該複数の造粒物に対して同時に前記圧力を加える吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至8の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記造粒工程において形成された前記造粒物を覆うように被覆部を形成する被覆工程を含む吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項9に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記加圧工程は、前記被覆工程よりも先に実行される吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 液体を吸収して相互に接着する複数の粒状体からなる吸水処理材を製造する装置であって、
被造粒材料を造粒することにより、前記各粒状体を構成する略円柱状の造粒物を形成する造粒機と、
前記造粒機により形成された前記造粒物に対して当該造粒物の長さ方向から圧力を加えることにより、当該造粒物の長さを小さくする加圧機と、
を備えることを特徴とする吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項11に記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記造粒機は、押出造粒機である吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項11又は12に記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記加圧機は、前記造粒物の長さを10%以上小さくする吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項13に記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記加圧機は、前記造粒物の長さを20%以上小さくする吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項11乃至14の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記造粒機は、長さが直径よりも大きい前記造粒物を形成し、
前記加圧機は、前記造粒物の長さが前記直径以下となるように、当該造粒物の長さを小さくする吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項11乃至15の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記加圧機は、前記造粒物の長さが当該造粒物の直径の60%以上80%以下となるように、当該造粒物の長さを小さくする吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項11乃至16の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記加圧機は、互いに対向する第1及び第2の加圧面を有しており、前記造粒物の一端が前記第1の加圧面に当接するとともに当該造粒物の他端が前記第2の加圧面に当接した状態で、前記第2の加圧面を前記第1の加圧面に近づけることにより、当該造粒物に対して前記圧力を加える吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項17に記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記加圧機は、複数の前記造粒物の一端が前記第1の加圧面に当接するとともに当該複数の造粒物の他端が前記第2の加圧面に当接した状態で、前記第2の加圧面を前記第1の加圧面に近づけることにより、当該複数の造粒物に対して同時に前記圧力を加える吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項11乃至18の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記造粒機により形成された前記造粒物を覆うように被覆部を形成する被覆機を備える吸水処理材の製造装置。 - 請求項19に記載の吸水処理材の製造装置において、
前記加圧機による加圧は、前記被覆機による前記被覆部の形成よりも先に行われる吸水処理材の製造装置。
