Abstract
【解決手段】イリジウムとトリアゾール骨格を有する配位子を有し、前記トリアゾール骨格は、ピリジン環を含む基又はピリミジン環を含む基と、アリール基を有し、前記トリアゾール骨格に含まれるいずれか1つの窒素は前記イリジウムと配位し、前記アリール基のオルト位と前記イリジウムが結合した構造を有する有機金属錯体を提供する。

Description
まず、下記一般式(G0)で表される1,2,4−トリアゾール誘導体の合成法の一例を合成スキーム(a)により説明する。
次に、本発明の一態様である有機金属錯体の一例として、下記一般式(G1)で表される有機金属錯体の合成方法について説明する。
続いて、本発明の一態様である発光素子の例について図1(A)を用いて以下、詳細に説明する。
マイクロキャビティ構造を有する発光素子は、上記一対の電極を、反射電極と半透過・半反射電極とから構成することにより得られる。反射電極と半透過・半反射電極は上述の第1の電極と第2の電極に相当する。反射電極と半透過・半反射電極との間には少なくともEL層を有し、EL層は少なくとも発光領域となる発光層を有している。
本発明の一態様の発光装置について図2を用いて説明する。なお、図2(A)は、発光装置を示す上面図、図2(B)は図2(A)をA−BおよびC−Dで切断した断面図である。この発光装置は、発光素子の発光を制御するものとして、点線で示された駆動回路部(ソース線駆動回路)601、画素部602、駆動回路部(ゲート線駆動回路)603を含んでいる。また、604は封止基板、605はシール材であり、シール材605で囲まれた内側は、空間607になっている。
本発明の一態様である照明装置を図6を参照しながら説明する。図6(B)は照明装置の上面図、図6(A)は図6(B)におけるe−f断面図である。
本発明の一態様である電子機器の例について説明する。電子機器として、例えば、テレビジョン装置(テレビ、またはテレビジョン受信機ともいう)、コンピュータ用などのモニタ、デジタルカメラ、デジタルビデオカメラ、デジタルフォトフレーム、携帯電話機(携帯電話、携帯電話装置ともいう)、携帯型ゲーム機、携帯情報端末、音響再生装置、パチンコ機などの大型ゲーム機などが挙げられる。これらの電子機器の具体例を以下に示す。
本実施例では、実施の形態において構造式(100)として示した、本発明の一態様である、トリス{2−[5−(2−メチルフェニル)−4−(2,6−ジメチルピリジン−3−イル)−4H−1,2,4−トリアゾ−ル−3−イル−κN2]フェニル−κC}イリジウム(III)(略称:[Ir(mpptz−dmpy)3])の合成方法について説明する。[Ir(mpptz−dmpy)3]の構造を以下に示す。
300mL三口フラスコに、N−(クロロフェニルメチレン)−2−メチル−ベンゼンカルボヒドラゾイルクロリドを10g(34.2mmol)、3−アミノ−2,4−ジメチルピリジンを20g(163.7mmol)、N,N−ジメチルアニリンを100mL入れ、窒素気流下、180℃で35時間撹拌し、反応させた。反応後、反応溶液に1M塩酸を加え、中和した。中和した溶液から酢酸エチルを用いて有機層を抽出した。この有機層を飽和炭酸水素ナトリウム水溶液、水、飽和食塩水を順に用いて洗浄した。洗浄した有機層に、無水硫酸マグネシウムを加え乾燥を行った後、自然ろ過によりろ液を得た。このろ液から酢酸エチルを留去した後、シリカカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製した。展開溶媒には酢酸エチルとヘキサンを用いた。得られたフラクションの溶媒を留去し、再結晶により白色固体を収量1.5g(4.4mmol)、収率13%で得た。核磁気共鳴法(NMR)により、得られた白色固体がHmpptz−dmpyであることを確認した。ステップ1の合成スキームを下記式(a−1)に示す。
Hmpptz−dmpy 1.5g(4.4mmol)、トリス(アセチルアセトナト)イリジウム(III)0.43g(0.88mmol)を反応容器に入れ、アルゴン気流下、250℃にて35時間撹拌し、反応させた。反応後、得られた反応混合物に酢酸エチルを加えろ過することでろ液を得た。このろ液から酢酸エチルを留去し固体を得た。この固体をシリカカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製した。展開溶媒には酢酸エチルとジクロロメタンを用いた。得られたフラクションの溶媒を留去し、再結晶を行った後、得られた固体をトレインサブリメーション法により昇華精製し、黄色固体を収量60mg(50μmol)、収率5.7%で得た。ステップ2の合成スキームを下記式(b−1)に示す。
本実施例では、実施の形態において構造式(101)として示した本発明の一態様である、トリス{2−[5−フェニル−4−(2,6−ジメチルピリジン−3−イル)−4H−1,2,4−トリアゾール−3−イル−κN2]フェニル−κC}イリジウム(III)(略称:[Ir(taz−dmpy)3])の合成方法について説明する。[Ir(taz−dmpy)3]の構造を以下に示す。
1L三口フラスコに、N,N’−ジベンゾイルヒドラジンを12g(50mmol)入れ、容器内を窒素置換した後、脱水トルエンを250mL加えて撹拌した。その後、窒素気流下で五塩化リンを25g(123mmol)加え、120℃までゆっくり温度を上げ、6時間撹拌し、反応させた。反応後、反応溶液を水500mLに加え、3時間撹拌した。この混合物を水層と有機層に分け、水層をトルエンで抽出した。得られた抽出溶液と上記有機層を合わせた溶液を、飽和炭酸水素ナトリウム水溶液、水、飽和食塩水を順に用いて洗浄した。その後、洗浄した有機層に無水硫酸マグネシウムを加えて乾燥し、自然ろ過によりろ液を得た。このろ液の溶媒を留去した後、減圧下で残った溶媒を除去することで黄色油状物を収量12.7g(43mmol)、収率87%で得た。核磁気共鳴法(NMR)により、得られた黄色油状物がビス(N−クロロフェニルメチリデン)ヒドラジンであることを確認した。ステップ1の合成スキームを下記式(a1−2)に示す。
300mL三口フラスコに、ステップ1で合成したビス(N−クロロフェニルメチリデン)ヒドラジンを12.5g(42.8mmol)、3−アミノ−2,4−ジメチルピリジンを25g(206mmol)、N,N−ジメチルアニリンを100mL入れ、窒素気流下、180℃で20時間撹拌し、反応させた。反応後、反応溶液に1M塩酸を加え中和した。中和した溶液から酢酸エチルを用いて有機層を抽出し、この有機層を飽和炭酸水素ナトリウム水溶液、水、飽和食塩水をこの順に用いて洗浄を行った。洗浄した有機層に、無水硫酸マグネシウムを加え乾燥を行った後、自然ろ過によりろ液を得た。このろ液から酢酸エチルを留去した後、シリカカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製した。展開溶媒には酢酸エチルとトルエンを用いた。得られたフラクションの溶媒を留去し、再結晶により収量6.3g(19mmol)、収率45%で白色固体を得た。核磁気共鳴法(NMR)により、得られた白色固体がHtaz−dmpyであることを確認した。ステップ2の合成スキームを下記式(a−2)に示す。
Htaz−dmpy 2g(6.1mmol)、トリス(アセチルアセトナト)イリジウム(III)0.60g(1.2mmol)を反応容器に入れ、アルゴン気流下、250℃にて17時間撹拌し、反応させた。反応後、得られた反応混合物に酢酸エチルを加えろ過することでろ液を得た。このろ液から酢酸エチルを留去し固体を得た。この固体をシリカカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製した。展開溶媒には酢酸エチルとジクロロメタンを用いた。得られたフラクションの溶媒を留去し、再結晶を行った後、得られた固体をトレインサブリメーション法により昇華精製し、黄色固体を収量134mg(0.12μmol)、収率20%で得た。ステップ3の合成スキームを下記式(b−2)に示す。
本実施例では、構造式(102)として示した本発明の一態様である、トリス{2−[5−(2−メチルフェニル)−4−(2,4,6−トリメチルピリジン−3−イル)−4H−1,2,4−トリアゾール−3−イル−κN2]フェニル−κC}イリジウム(III)(略称:[Ir(mpptz−tmpy)3])の合成方法について説明する。[Ir(mpptz−tmpy)3]の構造を以下に示す。
300mL三口フラスコに、N−(クロロフェニルメチレン)−2−メチル−ベンゼンカルボヒドラゾイルクロリドを17.1g(59mmol)、3−アミノ−2,4,6−トリメチルピリジンを24g(176mmol)、N,N−ジメチルアニリンを240mL入れ、窒素気流下、180℃で32時間撹拌し、反応させた。反応後、反応溶液に1M塩酸を加え中和した。中和した溶液を酢酸エチルを用いて抽出し、有機層を、飽和炭酸水素ナトリウム水溶液、水、飽和食塩水をこの順で用いて洗浄を行った。洗浄した有機層に、無水硫酸マグネシウムを加え乾燥を行った後、自然ろ過によりろ液を得た。このろ液から酢酸エチルを留去した後、シリカカラムクロマトグラフィーにより精製した。展開溶媒には酢酸エチルを用いた。得られたフラクションの溶媒を留去し、再結晶により収量3.9g(11mmol)、収率19%で白色固体を得た。核磁気共鳴法(NMR)により、得られた白色固体がHmpptz−tmpyであることを確認した。ステップ1の合成スキームを下記式(a−3)に示す。
Hmpptz−tmpy 3.8g(11mmol)、トリス(アセチルアセトナト)イリジウム(III)を1.3g(2.7mmol)を反応容器に入れ、アルゴン気流下、250℃にて35時間撹拌し、反応させた。反応後、得られた反応混合物に酢酸エチルを加えろ過することで黄色固体を回収した。この黄色固体を再結晶した後、トレインサブリメーション法により昇華精製し、収量0.56g(0.45mmol)、収率16%で黄色固体を得た。ステップ2の合成スキームを下記式(b−3)に示す。
まず、ガラス基板上に、酸化珪素を含むインジウム錫酸化物(ITSO)をスパッタリング法にて成膜し、第1の電極101を形成した。なお、その膜厚は110nmとし、電極面積は2mm×2mmとした。

Claims (12)
- イリジウムとトリアゾール骨格を有する配位子を有し、
前記トリアゾール骨格は、ピリジン環を含む基又はピリミジン環を含む基と、アリール基を有し、
前記トリアゾール骨格に含まれるいずれか1つの窒素は前記イリジウムと配位し、
前記アリール基のオルト位と前記イリジウムが結合した構造を有する有機金属錯体。 - 下記一般式(G1)で表される有機金属錯体。
(但し、一般式(G1)において、R1乃至R4はそれぞれ独立に、水素、炭素数1乃至6の飽和炭化水素基、炭素数3乃至8の環状飽和炭化水素基及び炭素数6乃至13の芳香族炭化水素基のいずれかを表す。また、R10及びR20は少なくとも一方がピリジン環を有する基またはピリミジン環を有する基であり、他方が炭素数1乃至6の飽和炭化水素基、炭素数3乃至8の環状飽和炭化水素基、炭素数6乃至13の芳香族炭化水素基、ピリジン環を有する基及びピリミジン環を有する基のいずれかである。) - 下記一般式(G2)で表される有機金属錯体。
(但し、一般式(G2)において、R1乃至R4及びR11乃至R14はそれぞれ独立に、水素、炭素数1乃至6の飽和炭化水素基、炭素数3乃至8の環状飽和炭化水素基及び炭素数6乃至13の芳香族炭化水素基のいずれかを表す。また、R20は炭素数1乃至6の飽和炭化水素基、炭素数3乃至8の環状飽和炭化水素基、炭素数6乃至13の芳香族炭化水素基、ピリジン環を有する基及びピリミジン環を有する基のいずれかである。) - 下記一般式(G3)で表される有機金属錯体。
(但し、一般式(G3)において、R1乃至R4、R11乃至R14及びR21乃至R25はそれぞれ独立に、水素、炭素数1乃至6の飽和炭化水素基、炭素数3乃至8の環状飽和炭化水素基及び炭素数6乃至13の芳香族炭化水素基のいずれかを表す。) - 下記一般式(G4)で表される有機金属錯体。
