Abstract
Description
(1) 近位端及び遠位端を有する細長いカテーテル本体と、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位端のデュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリ(dual multiray electrode assembly)と、を備えるカテーテルであって、前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリが、近位マルチレイアレイ及び遠位マルチレイアレイを備え、各アレイが一端で接続された複数のスパインを備え、各スパインが複数の電極を備え、前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリが、拡張された構成、及び前記スパインが前記カテーテル本体の長手方向軸に概ね沿って配置される折り畳まれた構成を有する、カテーテル。
(2) 前記スパインが、前記拡張された構成で半径方向外向きに曲がる、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(3) 前記近位マルチレイアレイ及び前記遠位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが、それぞれ反対の方向に曲がる、実施態様2に記載のカテーテル。
(4) 前記近位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが近位に曲がり、前記遠位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが遠位に曲がる、実施態様3に記載のカテーテル。
(5) 前記近位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが遠位に曲がり、前記遠位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが近位に曲がる、実施態様3に記載のカテーテル。
(7) 前記細長いカテーテル本体が、外側管状部材の内腔内に摺動自在に配設された内側管状部材を備え、前記近位マルチレイアレイが前記内側管状部材の遠位端に固定され、前記遠位マルチレイアレイが前記外側管状部材の遠位端に固定されている、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(8) 前記内側管状部材と前記外側管状部材との相対的な長手方向運動が、前記近位マルチレイアレイと前記遠位マルチレイアレイとの間の距離を調節する、実施態様7に記載のカテーテル。
(9) 前記細長いカテーテル本体が屈折可能である、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
(10) 各スパインが形状記憶材料を含む、実施態様1に記載のカテーテル。
近位端及び遠位端を有する細長いカテーテル本体と、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位端のデュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリと、を有するカテーテルを提供することであって、前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリが近位マルチレイアレイ及び遠位マルチレイアレイを備え、各アレイが一端で接続された複数のスパインを備え、各スパインが複数の電極を備える、カテーテルを提供することと、
前記カテーテルの前記遠位端を前記体腔内に導入することと、
前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリを、前記スパインが前記カテーテル本体の長手方向軸に概ね沿って配置される折り畳まれた構成から、拡張された構成に拡張することと、
前記電極の少なくとも一部分が前記体腔を形成する組織と接触するように、前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリを前記体腔内に位置決めすることと、
前記組織と接触している前記電極の前記少なくとも一部分から受信された電気データを記録することと、を含む、方法。
(12) 前記体腔が心房である、実施態様11に記載の方法。
(13) 前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリを心腔内に位置決めすることが、前記近位マルチレイアレイと前記遠位マルチレイアレイとの間の相対距離を調節することを含む、実施態様11に記載の方法。
(14) 前記近位マルチレイアレイと前記遠位マルチレイアレイとの間の前記相対距離を調節することが、前記近位マルチレイアレイ及び前記遠位マルチレイアレイを前記体腔の対向する壁と接触させる、実施態様13に記載の方法。
(15) 前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリを心腔内に位置決めすることが、前記細長いカテーテル本体を屈折させることを含む、実施態様11に記載の方法。
Claims (10)
- 近位端及び遠位端を有する細長いカテーテル本体と、前記カテーテル本体の前記遠位端のデュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリと、を備えるカテーテルであって、前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリが、近位マルチレイアレイ及び遠位マルチレイアレイを備え、各アレイが一端で接続された複数のスパインを備え、各スパインが複数の電極を備え、前記デュアルマルチレイ電極アセンブリが、拡張された構成、及び前記スパインが前記カテーテル本体の長手方向軸に概ね沿って配置される折り畳まれた構成を有する、カテーテル。
- 前記スパインが、前記拡張された構成で半径方向外向きに曲がる、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記近位マルチレイアレイ及び前記遠位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが、それぞれ反対の方向に曲がる、請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記近位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが近位に曲がり、前記遠位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが遠位に曲がる、請求項3に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記近位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが遠位に曲がり、前記遠位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが近位に曲がる、請求項3に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記近位マルチレイアレイ及び前記遠位マルチレイアレイの前記スパインが、同一方向に曲がる、請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記細長いカテーテル本体が、外側管状部材の内腔内に摺動自在に配設された内側管状部材を備え、前記近位マルチレイアレイが前記内側管状部材の遠位端に固定され、前記遠位マルチレイアレイが前記外側管状部材の遠位端に固定されている、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記内側管状部材と前記外側管状部材との相対的な長手方向運動が、前記近位マルチレイアレイと前記遠位マルチレイアレイとの間の距離を調節する、請求項7に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記細長いカテーテル本体が屈折可能である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 各スパインが形状記憶材料を含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
