Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings for understanding of the present invention. Note that portions not related to the description may be omitted.
As shown in FIG. 1, a hemostatic band 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is attached to a patient's limb and can press a patient's puncture wound through a hemostatic cotton 12.
As shown in FIG. 2, the hemostatic band 10 includes an expansion / contraction part 102, a buffer part 104, and a friction part 106.
The stretchable part 102 has a strip shape and can be stretched in the longitudinal direction.
A surface FSa of a rectangular hook-and-loop fastener is provided on one end surface (the surface on the puncture wound portion side) 102a of the stretchable portion 102 and on the end opposite to the buffer portion 104. . The surface 102b on the other side of the stretchable portion 102 is provided with a B surface FSb corresponding to the A surface FSa of the surface fastener.
The expansion / contraction part 102 is formed with a folded part 108 in which an end of the expansion / contraction part 102 is folded. The folded portion 108 has an annular shape, with its tip end sewn to the expandable portion 102.
The buffer portion 104 is an EPDM foam, and is provided on the other surface 102 b of the stretchable portion 102. The buffer portion 104 is disposed inside the annular folded portion 108 described above. That is, the buffer 104 is covered with the folded portion 108. Spaces Sa and Sb (see FIG. 1) serving as gaps are formed between the buffer unit 104 and the folded-back unit 108 that covers the buffer unit 104.
The shape of the buffer part 104 is a rectangular parallelepiped, and the thickness is preferably, for example, 7.5 to 8.5 mm, and more preferably 7.8 to 8.2 mm. When the buffer portion 104 is compressed (crushed) by about half in the thickness direction, the buffer portion 104 has a compression force of about 400 to 500 g. The buffer part 104 is attached to the expansion-contraction part 102 with a double-sided tape.
The buffer 104 is not limited to EPDM foam. However, from the viewpoint that the compression set is small, the buffer 104 is preferably an EPDM foam.
The friction part 106 is a foam of chloroprene rubber, and is provided on the surface 102 a on one side of the stretchable part 102. The thickness of the friction part 106 is 1.5 mm, for example. Hemostatic cotton 12 applied to the patient's puncture wound is in contact with the friction portion 106. The friction part 106 is attached to the stretchable part 102 with a double-sided tape.
Since the friction part 106 is a foam of chloroprene rubber, an appropriate frictional resistance is generated between the hemostatic cotton 12 and the hemostatic cotton 12 is prevented from slipping off. Moreover, the foam of chloroprene rubber suppresses the adhesion of blood that has exuded from the hemostatic cotton 12 due to its characteristics.
The color of the friction portion 106 is preferably other than red and black in order to make it easy to understand that the friction portion 106 is stained with blood. Specifically, the friction part 106 is preferably gray or white.
Next, a method for using the hemostatic band 10 in dialysis treatment (a hemostatic method using the hemostatic band 10) will be described. The tourniquet 10 is used according to the following steps. Note that, if possible, the steps may be executed with the order changed, or may be executed in parallel.
(Step S1)
Perform dialysis treatment. After dialysis is complete, the puncture needle is withdrawn from the patient's forearm.
(Step S2)
The hemostatic cotton 12 is applied to the puncture wound of the forearm.
(Step S3)
The hemostatic band 10 is wound in a state where the friction portion 106 is applied from above the hemostatic cotton 12. At this time, the buffer portion 104 is compressed and wound so as to be approximately half the original thickness by visual inspection. The tourniquet 10 is fastened to the patient's forearm by the A surface FSa of the surface fastener and the B surface FSb of the surface fastener (see FIG. 1).
When the buffer 104 is crushed to about half of the original thickness, a compression force optimal for hemostasis is applied to the puncture wound and the possibility that the blood vessel is blocked is reduced. In addition, it takes less time to stop bleeding than necessary.
(Step S4)
After the tourniquet 10 is fastened, the shunt sound is checked. If an abnormality is recognized in the shunt sound, the previous step S3 is performed again.
(Step S5)
After a predetermined time has elapsed and the hemostasis is completed, the hemostasis band 10 is removed.
In addition, when blood oozing out from the hemostatic cotton 12 adheres to the friction part (chloroprene rubber foam) 106, it is possible to easily remove dirt from the blood simply by wiping.
As described above, according to the hemostatic band 10 according to the present embodiment, the compression force can be managed based on the thickness (compression amount) of the buffer portion 104, so that hemostasis can be stopped without largely depending on the experience of the nurse. .
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and all changes in conditions and the like that do not depart from the gist are within the scope of the present invention.
The friction part is not limited to a foam of chloroprene rubber. The friction part may be arbitrary as long as it is a material that generates a frictional force against the hemostatic cotton. The friction part preferably has antifouling properties against blood stains.
