Claims (20)
- レーダーシステムを収納するためのレドームであって、
前記レドームが、相互接続された複数の彎曲した熱可塑性のある複合材料のレドームパネルを備え、各彎曲した熱可塑性のある複合材料のレドームパネルが、複数の相互接続エッジと、フォームコアと、内側表皮と、外側表皮と、複数の三次元繊維束とを有し、前記複数の三次元繊維束が、前記フォームコアを通じて前記内側表皮および前記外側表皮を互いに結び付けて、剥離を阻止する、レドーム。 - 前記相互接続エッジは、共成型されて熱成形された細長い複合材料ストリップを含み、前記複合材料ストリップが、フォームコアと、内側表皮と、外側表皮と、複数の三次元繊維束とを含み、前記三次元繊維束が、前記内側表皮から前記外側表皮へ前記フォームコアを通って延びかつ前記フォームコアを強化する、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 前記レドームが、相互接続された複数の彎曲した複合材料の前記レドームパネルを前記相互接続エッジに沿って相互接続する彎曲接続ジョイントをさらに含み、各彎曲接続ジョイントは、外側スプラインと、内側スプラインと、複数の締め具とを含み、前記複数の締め具が、前記外側スプライン、前記内側スプライン、および隣接する複合材料のレドームパネルからの隣接する複合材料ストリップを一緒に保持する、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 前記外側スプラインおよび前記内側スプラインは、前記締め具を受け入れるためのそれぞれの穴を含み、前記外側スプラインの前記穴および前記内側スプラインの前記穴は、接続された外側スプラインおよび内側スプラインにおいて彎曲構成をもたらすように互いにオフセットされる、請求項3に記載のレドーム。
- 前記外側スプラインおよび前記内側スプラインは、引き抜き成形された熱硬化性複合材でできている、請求項3に記載のレドーム。
- 各複合材料のレドームパネルは、PTFE材料の外面および織ったガラス材料の内面を有する外側疎水性コーティングを含み、前記外側疎水性コーティングは、共成型された外側表皮を生成するために、彎曲した熱可塑性のある複合材料の前記レドームパネルと共成型される、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 複合材料の前記レドームパネルは、RF透過性Aサンドイッチ複合材料パネルである、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 請求項1に記載のレドームを製造する方法であって、
彎曲した複合材料の前記レドームパネルの各相互接続エッジを製造するステップであって、エッジ成形ツールで、一度に1つの相互接続エッジ全体を製造するステップを含む、方法。 - 各相互接続エッジを製造するステップは、
一度に1つの相互接続エッジ全体を前記エッジ成形ツールの上下の彎曲クランプ要素によって受け取るステップと、
前記相互接続エッジ全体を前記エッジ成形ツールの前記上下の彎曲クランプ要素によって加熱するステップと、
前記相互接続エッジ全体を前記エッジ成形ツールの前記上下の彎曲クランプ要素によって成形するステップと、
前記相互接続エッジ全体を前記エッジ成形ツールで冷却するステップとを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記レドームを製造するステップは、相互接続された複数の彎曲した複合材料の前記レドームパネルを前記相互接続エッジに沿って彎曲接続ジョイントで相互接続するステップを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記彎曲接続ジョイントは、外側スプラインおよび内側スプラインを含み、相互接続された複数の彎曲した複合材料の前記レドームパネルを相互接続するステップは、隣接する複合材料のレドームパネルからの隣接する相互接続エッジを前記外側スプライン、前記内側スプライン、ならびに前記外側スプラインおよび前記内側スプラインを一緒に接続する複数の締め具で一緒に結合するステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記外側スプラインおよび前記内側スプラインは、前記締め具を受け入れるためのそれぞれの穴を含み、前記外側スプラインの前記穴および前記内側スプラインの前記穴は、互いにオフセットされ、前記外側スプラインおよび前記内側スプラインを一緒に接続するステップは、前記外側スプラインの前記穴および前記内側スプラインの前記穴が、接続された外側スプラインおよび内側スプラインにおいて彎曲構成をもたらすために互いにオフセットされるように、前記外側スプラインおよび前記内側スプラインを一緒に接続するステップを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 彎曲した熱可塑性のある複合材料の前記レドームパネルは、特定の形状に熱成形され、冷却され、冷却後形状に硬化されるEガラス繊維および加熱可能な熱可塑性樹脂で構成される、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 前記熱可塑性樹脂は、ポリエチレンテレフタレート共重合体(PETG)およびポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)の少なくとも1つである、請求項13に記載のレドーム。
- 前記内側表皮は、実質的に0.040インチ厚の内側表皮を形成する、2つの0.015〜0.025インチ厚のPETG樹脂およびガラス繊維の層を含み、前記複数の三次元繊維束は、前記2つの層の間で結び付けられ、熱硬化される端部を含む、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 前記外側表皮は、実質的に0.040インチ厚の外側表皮を形成する、1つの0.015〜0.025インチ厚のPETG樹脂およびガラス繊維の層ならびにPTFEを有する外面および織ったガラス繊維を有する内面を含む疎水性材料の1つの0.015〜0.025インチ厚の布層を含み、前記複数の三次元繊維束は、前記2つの層の間で結び付けられ、熱硬化される端部を含む、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 前記フォームコアは、PETフォームである、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 前記相互接続エッジは、熱成形され、内向きおよび外向きのテーパーが付き、バットジョイントに終わり、前記バットジョイントは事実上、前記レドームの直径によって規定されるような大円の形状に形成される歯である、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
- 2つの隣接するパネルの前記バットジョイントは、前記レドームの表面に対して実質的に90度に接触面を形成する、請求項18に記載のレドーム。
- 前記レドームは、個々の同一パネルで菱形三十面体を形成する、請求項1に記載のレドーム。
