Claims (15)

  1. 3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸及び/又はその塩を含む発酵ブロスから3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸が富化された組成物を回収する方法であって、
    (a)2〜8のpHを有する発酵ブロスを提供する工程であって、前記発酵ブロスは、
    3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸及び/又はその塩、及び
    全硫酸イオン及びリン酸イオン濃度、を含む、工程と
    (b)前記発酵ブロスを酸性化し、1〜3までpHを低減させて、3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸を含む水溶液を形成する工程と、
    (c)前記水溶液の前記全硫酸イオン及びリン酸イオン濃度を低減させて、3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸を含むイオン低減化水溶液を生成する工程と、
    (d)前記イオン低減化水溶液に真空及び熱を加えて、1〜3のpHで前記イオン低減化水溶液を蒸留し、3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸を含む水性蒸留生成物を形成する工程と、
    (e)少なくとも30重量%の前記水性蒸留生成物の濃度で、前記3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸を含む水性蒸留生成物を回収する工程と、を含み、前記水性蒸留生成物は、3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸100重量部当たり、5重量部未満のアクリル酸を含む、方法。
  2. 前記発酵ブロスは、工程(a)において2.5〜4.5のpHを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
  3. 前記3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸は、前記水性蒸留生成物の重量に対して少なくとも40重量%の濃度で、工程(e)において回収される、請求項1またはに記載の方法。
  4. 工程(e)において回収される前記水性蒸留生成物は、3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸100重量部当たり3重量部未満のアクリル酸を含有する、請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  5. 前記蒸留工程(d)は、イオン低減化水溶液を120℃〜180℃の温度まで加熱する工程を含む、請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  6. 前記蒸留工程(d)は、2分未満の時間、130℃以上の温度でイオン低減化水溶液を加熱することで行われる、請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  7. 工程(a)の前記発酵ブロスにおける3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸及び/又はその塩の濃度は、ブロス1リットル当たり3〜200グラムの3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸当量である、請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  8. 工程(c)による前記イオン低減化水溶液中の全硫酸イオン及びリン酸イオン濃度は、5,000ppm未満である、請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  9. 前記水溶液の全硫酸イオン及びリン酸イオン濃度を低減させる前記工程(c)は、イオン交換体を使用することによって行われる、請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  10. 前記工程(d)の蒸留より前のイオン低減化水溶液中の3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸の濃度が、25重量%〜70重量%である、請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  11. 工程(c)において、全硫酸イオン及びリン酸イオン濃度は、5,000ppm未満まで低減され、
    工程(d)における水性蒸留生成物中の3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸の濃度は、30重量%〜60重量%であり、
    工程(e)において回収される前記水性蒸留生成物は、3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸100重量部当たり1重量部未満のアクリル酸を含有する、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  12. 酸性化工程(b)の前に、
    (i)60℃〜100℃のブロス温度で、前記発酵ブロス中に存在する前記液体の一部分を蒸発させることによって、工程(a)の前記発酵ブロス中の3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸及び/又はその塩の濃度をブロス1リットル当たり100〜500グラムの3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸当量まで増加させる工程、を更に含む、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  13. 工程(c)の前の前記発酵ブロス中に存在する微生物細胞の量を低減化する工程(k)を更に含む、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  14. 前記低減化工程(k)は、前記酸性化工程(b)の前に行われる、請求項13に記載の方法。
  15. 工程(c)の前の3−ヒドロキシプロピオン酸を含む前記水溶液中に存在する石膏の量を低減する工程(l)を更に含む、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
