Abstract
Description

Claims (20)
- 電気刺激リードであって、
リード本体を有し、前記リード本体は、遠位端部分、近位端部分、及び長手方向長さを有し、
更に、前記リード本体の遠位端部分に沿って配置された複数の電極を有し、前記複数の電極は、第1セットの電極と、第2セットの電極を含み、前記第1セットの電極は、第1の距離だけ互いから離間し、前記第2セットの電極は、前記第1の距離よりも大きい第2の距離だけ互いから離間し、前記第1セットの電極は、前記第2セットの電極から前記第2の距離よりも大きいか又はそれに等しい第3の距離だけ離間し、
更に、前記リード本体の近位端部分に沿って配置された複数の端子と、
前記複数の端子を前記複数の電極に電気的に結合させる複数の導体と、
前記リード本体の遠位端部分に沿って且つ前記第1セットの電極のうちの全ての電極よりも近位側に配置された複数の係止ユニットと、を有する電気刺激リード。 - 前記複数の係止ユニットは、前記第1セットの電極と前記第2セットの電極の間に配置された第1セットの係止ユニットと、前記第2セットの電極の電極同士の間に配置された第2セットの係止ユニットと、を含む請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記第2の距離は、前記第1の距離の少なくとも2倍である、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記第3の距離は、前記第2の距離の少なくとも2倍である、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記第3の距離は、前記第2の距離と等しい、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記第2セットの電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、全ての前記係止ユニットよりも近位側に位置する、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記電気刺激リードは、それに沿って位置決めされた前記複数の電極を用いて、平均成人の仙骨神経を刺激するように構成され且つ配置され、前記電気刺激リードが仙骨神経の刺激のために仙骨神経の近くに前記第1セットの電極と共に埋込まれるとき、前記第2セットの電極は、仙骨孔の近くに位置決めされ、前記複数の係止ユニットは、仙骨孔に又はその近くに、又は、仙骨孔の近くの筋膜に又はその近くに係止するように位置決めされる、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記第2セットの電極は、2つの電極を含む、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記少なくとも1つの係止要素は、複数の係止要素を含み、前記複数の係止要素のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記第1セットの電極と前記第2セットの電極の間に配置され、前記複数の係止要素のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記第2セットの電極のうちの隣接した電極同士の間に配置される、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記少なくとも1つの係止要素は、円錐体を含む、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記少なくとも1つの係止要素は、複数のフィンを含み、前記フィンの各々は、リード取付け要素に取付けられ且つ前記リード取付け要素から遠ざかるように延びる、請求項1に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 電気刺激システムであって、
請求項1に記載された電気刺激リードと、
前記電気刺激リードに結合可能な制御モジュールと、
前記電気刺激リードを受入れるコネクタと、を含み、
前記制御モジュールは、ハウジングと、前記ハウジング内に配置された電子サブアセンブリを含み、
前記コネクタは、近位端部と、遠位端部と、長手方向長さを有し、
前記コネクタは、更に、コネクタハウジングと、前記コネクタハウジング内に配置された複数のコネクタ接点を有し、
前記コネクタハウジングは、前記電気刺激リードのリード本体の近位端部を受入れるように構成され且つ配置されたポートを前記コネクタの遠位端部に有し、
前記複数のコネクタ接点は、前記電気刺激リードのリード本体の近位端部に配置された複数の端子のうちの少なくとも1つに結合されるように構成され且つ配置される、電気刺激システム。 - 更に、前記電気刺激リードと前記制御モジュールの両方に結合可能なリード延長部を有する、請求項12に記載の電気刺激システム。
- 電気刺激リードであって、
リード本体を有し、前記リード本体は、遠位端部分、近位端部分、及び長手方向長さを有し、
更に、前記リード本体の遠位端部分に沿って配置された複数の電極を有し、前記複数の電極は、第1セットの電極と、第2セットの電極を含み、前記第1セットの電極は、第1の距離だけ互いから離間し、前記第2セットの電極の電極は、前記第1の距離よりも大きい第2の距離だけ互いから離間し、前記第1セットの電極は、前記第2セットの電極から前記第2の距離よりも大きいか又はそれと等しい第3の距離だけ離間し、
更に、前記リード本体の近位端部分に沿って配置された複数の端子と、
前記端子を前記電極に電気的に結合する複数の導体と、
前記リード本体の遠位端部分に沿って配置された複数の係止ユニットと、を有し、前記複数の係止ユニットは、前記第1セットの電極と前記第2セットの電極の間に配置された第1セットの係止ユニットと、前記第2セットの電極の電極同士の間に配置された第2セットの係止ユニットを含む、電気刺激リード。 - 前記第3の距離は、前記第2の距離の少なくとも2倍である、請求項14に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記第3の距離は、前記第2の距離と等しい、請求項14に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記第2セットの電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、全ての前記係止ユニットよりも近位側に位置する、請求項14に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 前記電気刺激リードは、それに沿って位置決めされた前記複数の電極を用いて、平均成人の仙骨神経を刺激するように構成され且つ配置され、前記電気刺激リードが仙骨神経の刺激のために仙骨神経の近くに前記第1セットの電極と共に埋込まれるとき、前記第2セットの電極は、仙骨孔の近くに位置決めされ、前記複数の係止ユニットは、仙骨孔に又はその近くに、又は、仙骨孔の近くの筋膜に又はその近くに係止するように位置決めされる、請求項14に記載の電気刺激リード。
- 電気刺激システムであって、
請求項14に記載の電気刺激リードと、
前記電気刺激リードに結合可能な制御モジュールと、
前記電気刺激リードを受入れるコネクタと、を含み、
前記制御モジュールは、ハウジングと、前記ハウジング内に配置された電子サブアセンブリを含み、
前記コネクタは、近位端部と、遠位端部と、長手方向長さを有し、
前記コネクタは、更に、コネクタハウジングと、前記コネクタハウジング内に配置された複数のコネクタ接点を有し、
前記コネクタハウジングは、前記電気刺激リードのリード本体の近位端部を受入れるように構成され且つ配置されたポートを前記コネクタの遠位端部に有し、
前記複数のコネクタ接点は、前記電気刺激リードのリード本体の近位端部に配置された複数の端子のうちの少なくとも1つに結合されるように構成され且つ配置される、電気刺激システム。 - 更に、前記電気刺激リードと前記制御モジュールの両方に結合可能なリード延長部を有する、請求項19に記載の電気刺激システム。
