Abstract
Description

Claims (36)
- 上椎体と下椎体との間に画定される椎間腔内にインプラントを挿入する方法であって、該方法は、
上プレート及び下プレートを備えるプレートシステムを前記椎間腔内に配置することと、
インプラントを前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させ、それにより、前記インプラントを前記椎間腔内に押し込み、前記上プレートを前記上椎体に係合させるとともに、前記下プレートを前記下椎体に係合させることと、
を含み、
前記インプラントを前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させる際、前記上椎体を前記下椎体に対して引き離す、
方法。 - インプラントを前記上ベースプレートと前記下ベースプレートとの間に前進させることは、装置を用いることを含む、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記装置は、機械的装置又は空圧装置を含む、
請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記インプラントを前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させることは、前記インプラントを、ガイドアセンブリを通して少なくとも部分的に前進させることを含む、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記ガイドアセンブリは、上ガイド部材及び下ガイド部材すなわち上プレート及び下プレートを含み、
該上ガイド部材及び該下ガイド部材すなわち該上プレート及び該下プレートは、前記インプラントを前記椎間腔内に前進させると、前記上プレート及び前記下プレートの対応する部分に脱離可能に係合するように構成されている、
請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記インプラントを前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させることにより、前記上プレート若しくは前記下プレートのうちの少なくとも一方の少なくとも1つの係合要素又は係合形状部が展開し、
該少なくとも1つの係合要素又は係合形状部は、隣接する前記椎体の少なくとも一部に係合するように構成されている、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの係合要素又は係合形状部は、歯又はスパイクを有する、
請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記インプラントは、レールシステムを用いて前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させるように構成されている、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記レールシステムは、前記インプラントにある少なくとも1つの突出要素又は突出形状部と、前記上プレート若しくは前記下プレートにある少なくとも1つの対応する溝又は凹部とを有し、
前記少なくとも1つの突出要素又は突出形状部は、前記上プレート若しくは前記下プレートにある前記少なくとも1つの対応する溝又は凹部内で摺動によって移動するように構成されている、
請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記レールシステムは、前記インプラントにある少なくとも1つの溝又は凹部と、前記上プレート若しくは前記下プレートにある少なくとも1つの対応する突出要素又は突出形状部とを有し、
該少なくとも1つの突出要素又は突出形状部は、前記少なくとも1つの対応する溝又は凹部内で摺動によって移動するように構成されている、
請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記インプラントは、略平滑な外面を有する、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記インプラントは、いかなる歯又は他の係合形状部も有しない、

請求項1に記載の方法。 - 脊椎固定システムであって、該システムは、
被検者の椎間腔内に配置されるように構成された、上プレート及び下プレートを備えるプレートシステムと、
前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させて配置され、前記椎間腔内に固定されるように構成されたインプラントと、
を備え、
前記インプラントを前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させると、前記上プレートが前記上椎体に係合するととともに、前記下プレートが前記下椎体に係合し、
前記インプラントを前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させる際、前記上椎体は、前記下椎体に対して引き離される、
システム。 - 前記システムは、上スライド及び下スライドを含むガイドアセンブリを更に備え、
前記上スライドは、前記上プレートに脱離可能に結合するように構成され、
前記下スライドは、前記下プレートに脱離可能に結合するように構成されている、
請求項21に記載のシステム。 - 前記上プレート及び前記下プレートのうちの少なくとも一方は、前記インプラントを前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させる場合、隣接する前記椎体の一部に係合するように構成された、少なくとも1つの係合要素を有する、
請求項22に記載のシステム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの係合要素は、歯、スパイク、又は返し部を有する、
請求項23に記載のシステム。 - 前記インプラントは、レールシステムを用いて前記上プレートと前記下プレートとの間に前進させるように構成されている、
請求項21に記載のシステム。 - 前記レールシステムは、前記インプラントにある少なくとも1つの突出要素又は突出形状部と、前記上プレート若しくは前記下プレートにある少なくとも1つの対応する溝又は凹部とを有し、
