Abstract
Description
Claims (13)
- NPacを介して画像を印刷するための色分解を規定する方法であって、
それぞれがRGBキューブ内の点に対応する複数のNPacを選択するステップであって、NPac関連空間において有効テッセレーションに変換されるテッセレーションをRGB空間にもたらす、選択するステップと、
選択されたNPacから色分解を規定するステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 印刷システムに関してNPacの代表的な組を印刷媒体上に印刷するステップと、
該印刷されたNPacの測色値を測定するステップと、
を更に含み、
複数のNPacを選択するステップは、該測定された測色値に基づいて、前記印刷されたNPacの代表的な組から選択するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記印刷システムに関してNPacの代表的な組を印刷媒体上に印刷するステップは、一組のNP代表NPacを印刷するステップを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記複数のNPacを選択するステップは、
各NPacが前記RGBキューブの頂点の実質的に近傍にある点に対応する、少なくとも4個のNPacを選択するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも4個のNPacを選択するステップは、RGBキューブの各頂点に対応するNPacを選択するステップを含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記複数のNPacを選択するステップは、前記RGBキューブにおける対応する4面体にマッピングされるNPac関連色空間における4面体が、該RGBキューブの該4面体によって接続されない前記頂点との重複を避けるように、前記RGBキューブの各頂点に対応するNPacを選択するステップを含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記NPacを選択するステップは、
(i)RGBキューブの前記頂点に対応するNPacの代表的な組のうちの8個を含む初期組を選択するステップと、
(ii)4面体RGBテッセレーションを計算するとともに、該4面体テッセレーションを前記NPac関連色空間における前記NPacの初期組にマッピングするステップと、
(iii)前記NPac関連色空間における前記4面体が、重複し、及び/又は所定量より大きい体積較差を有するかを判断するステップと、
(iv)前記NPac関連空間の前記4面体が重複し、及び/又は所定量より大きい体積較差を有する場合には、RGBキューブの前記頂点に対応する前記NPacの代表的な組のうちの8個を含む修正された組を選択するステップと、
8個の前記NPacの組に関して、前記NPac関連空間における前記4面体が重複せず、該4面体が前記所定量より大きい体積較差を有しなくなるまで、ステップ(ii)〜ステップ(iv)を繰り返すステップと、
を含む、請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記NPacを選択するステップは、前記RGBキューブの対頂点上の色に対応するNPacの対を接続する軸の間の角度が最大化されるように、該NPacの対を選択するステップを含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記NPacを選択するステップは、
前記RGBキューブの黒色の頂点として、最も暗いNPacを選択するステップと、
前記RGBキューブの白色の頂点として、最も明るいNPacを選択するステップと、
前記RGBキューブの対頂点上の色に対応するNPacの対を選択するステップであって、それにより、前記NPacの対を接続する前記軸が、前記黒色の頂点及び前記白色の頂点に選択された前記NPacを接続する前記軸に対して実質的に直角をなす、前記NPacの対を選択するステップと、
を更に含む、請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記選択されたNPacから色分解を規定するステップは、該選択されたNPacからカラールックアップテーブル、すなわちLUTを作成するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記NPac関連空間は、ユールニールセン修正XYZ(1/YΝΝ)空間を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- NPacを介して画像を印刷するための色分解を規定するカラールックアップテーブルであって、該カラールックアップテーブルは、選択されたNPacによって埋められ、該選択されたNPacは、それぞれがRGBキューブ内の点に対応するように選択され、それによりRGB空間におけるテッセレーションがNPac関連空間において有効テッセレーションに変換される、カラールックアップテーブル、を含む、色分解モジュール。
- 画像を印刷するためのプリンタモジュールと、
NPacを介して画像を印刷するための色分解を規定するカラールックアップテーブルを含む色分解モジュールであって、前記カラールックアップテーブルは、選択されたNPacによって埋められ、該選択されたNPacは、それぞれがRGBキューブ内の点に対応するように選択され、NPac関連空間において有効テッセレーションに変換されるテッセレーションをRGB空間にもたらす、色分解モジュールと、
を含み、前記プリンタモジュールは、前記カラールックアップテーブルによって規定された前記NPacに従って各ピクセルを規定することによって入力画像を印刷する、印刷システム。
