The packing body 31 is made of various synthetic rubbers such as silicon rubber, acrylic rubber, and fluorine rubber, for example. As the synthetic rubber constituting the packing main body 31, a waterproof rubber or an oilproof one is appropriately selected depending on the use of the connector 1 or the like. The packing body 30 is formed in an annular shape along the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20. In this embodiment, the front view of the outer edge of the packing body 31 is formed in a substantially square shape.

Specifically, the packing main body 31 is integrally provided with an accommodating portion 33, an outer peripheral surface placing portion 34, and a lip portion 35. The accommodating part 33 is accommodated in the concave groove 23. The cross-sectional shape of the cross section along the front-rear direction passing through the central axis P of the accommodating portion 33 is formed in a rectangular shape that is substantially the same shape as the concave groove 23. In the present embodiment, the long side direction of the cross section of the accommodating portion 33 is parallel to the front-rear direction. Moreover, in this embodiment, the small lip 33a closely_contact | adhered with the bottom face of the ditch | groove 23 is provided in the front-back direction at intervals in the perimeter of the inner peripheral surface of the accommodating part 33. FIG. The small lip 33 a is convex from the inner peripheral surface of the housing portion 33.

The outer peripheral surface mounting portion 34 is integrated with the housing portion 33 and provided on the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20. The outer circumferential surface placing portion 34 is provided on the outer circumferential side of the housing portion 33, and the width in the front-rear direction of the outer circumferential surface placing portion 34 is larger than the width in the front and rear direction of the housing portion 33. In the present embodiment, the outer peripheral surface mounting portion 34 protrudes on both the front side and the rear side of the housing portion 33. The outer peripheral surface placing portion 34 is provided between the flange member 22 and the front flange 24 when the accommodating portion 33 is accommodated in the concave groove 23 and the packing 30 is attached to the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20. In the present embodiment, the thickness of the outer peripheral surface mounting portion 34 is smaller than the protruding amount of the front flange 24 from the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20.

The lip part 35 is integral with the outer peripheral surface mounting part 34 and waterproofs the shield shell 204 of the counterpart component 200. The lip portion 35 is convex from the outer peripheral surface placing portion 34 in the outer peripheral direction. The lip portion 35 is provided on the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface placing portion 34. In the present embodiment, two lip portions 35 are provided at intervals in the front-rear direction. That is, the packing body 31 includes two lip portions 35 spaced apart in the front-rear direction. The lip portion 35 is formed in a mountain shape in which the width in the front-rear direction gradually decreases toward the outer periphery.

The core member 32 is made of a synthetic resin that is embedded in the packing body 31 and harder than the synthetic resin that constitutes the packing body 31. In the present embodiment, the core member 32 is embedded in the entire circumference of the packing body 31. The core material 32 is made of synthetic resin such as PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) or PBT-GF, preferably various engineering plastics. As a synthetic resin constituting the core member 32, a synthetic resin such as an engineering plastic having elasticity that allows the packing 30 to be attached to the concave groove 23 of the housing 20 and being somewhat harder than the packing body 31 is appropriately selected. The core material 3PBT2 is formed in an annular shape having substantially the same shape as the packing body 31. In this embodiment, the front view of the outer edge of the core member 32 is formed in a substantially square shape.

The cross-sectional shape of the cross section along the front-rear direction passing through the central axis P of the core member 32 is formed in a round shape (in this embodiment, a circle) as shown in FIG. In the present embodiment, the cross-sectional shape along the front-rear direction of the core member 32 is the same in any cross-section at any position. That is, in the present embodiment, the core material 32 has the same cross-sectional shape and cross-sectional area along the front-rear direction over the entire circumference.

Further, the core material 32 is embedded in the packing body 31 across the accommodating portion 33 and the outer peripheral surface mounting portion 34 in the circumferential direction, and is not exposed from the outer surface and inner peripheral surface of the packing main body 31, that is, It is provided at a position covered with the packing body 31. Further, at least a part of the core member 32 is provided between the top portions 35a that protrude most from the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20 of the two lip portions 35 in the front-rear direction. In the present embodiment, the entire core member 32 is provided between the top portions 35 a of the two lip portions 35 in the front-rear direction.

In the packing 30 having the above-described configuration, the packing main body 31 and the core material 32 are integrally molded using a mold or the like. The packing 30 is pulled in the outer circumferential direction so that the space surrounded on the inside is widened, and the front side of the flange member 22 of the housing 20 is passed inside. In the packing 30, the accommodating portion 33 is accommodated in the concave groove 23, and the outer peripheral surface placing portion 34 is accommodated between the flange member 22 and the front flange 24, so that the entire periphery of the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20 is provided. It is attached.

The connector 1 configured as described above is assembled by housing the terminal fitting 10 in the housing 20 and attaching the packing 30 to the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20. The connector 1 is inserted into the electronic device 150 at the rear side of the flange member 22 of the housing 20, and the flange member 22 is fixed to the case 150a of the electronic device 150 with a bolt or the like (not shown). The connector 1 assembled in this manner is attached to the counterpart component 200 and mounted on a vehicle such as an automobile. When the connector 1 is attached to the mating part 200, the lip portion 35 of the packing 30 is pressed from the inner surface of the shield shell 204 to the inner peripheral side, and the packing 30 is connected to the housing 20 and the shield shell 204 of the mating part 200. It is in close contact with both sides and waterproofs between them. When the connector 1 is attached to the counterpart component 200, the connector 1 is fixed to the counterpart component 200 with a bolt or the like (not shown).

When the connector 1 is attached to the mating part 200, the packing 30 may come into contact with the shield shell 204 of the mating part 200, and the packing 30 may be displaced from the housing 20. Then, since the core material 32 that is harder than the packing body 31 is embedded in the packing body 31 across the accommodating portion 33 and the outer peripheral surface mounting portion 34 in the circumferential direction, the core material 32 dents the accommodating portion 33. It will stay within 23. Therefore, when the connector 1 is attached to the counterpart component 200, the packing 30 is prevented from being displaced with respect to the housing 20.

According to the packing 30 described above, the core material 32 made of a synthetic resin harder than the synthetic resin constituting the packing body 31 is embedded in the packing body 31. Further, the packing 30 integrally includes a housing portion 33 in which the packing body 31 is housed in the concave groove 23 of the housing 20 and an outer peripheral surface mounting portion 34 provided on the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20. Is provided across the accommodating portion 33 and the outer peripheral surface placing portion 34. As a result, when the packing 30 is attached to the counterpart component 200, the core material 32 is unlikely to be elastically deformed even when trying to shift its position, so the core material 32 presses the accommodating portion 33 into the groove 23. . As a result, since the accommodating portion 33 is pressed into the concave groove 23, the packing 30 can be prevented from coming out of the concave groove 23, and can be prevented from being displaced with respect to the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20. When attached to the component 200, there is an effect that the waterproof performance of the packing 30 can be suppressed from being lowered. Further, the packing 30 is provided with a core member 32 across the accommodating portion 33 and the outer peripheral surface placing portion 34. Thereby, the packing 30 can be easily attached to the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20 because the inner peripheral side portion of the housing portion 33 near the core member 32 is easily deformed so that a space surrounding the inner side expands.

In the packing 30, the core member 32 is provided between the top portions 35 a of the two lip portions 35 in the front-rear direction. Thereby, the core material 32 is arrange | positioned in the accommodating part 33 in the front-back direction. In the present embodiment, the entire core member 32 is disposed in the housing portion 33 in the front-rear direction. As a result, when the packing 30 is attached to the counterpart component 200, the core member 32 presses the housing portion 33 into the concave groove 23 even if it is going to be displaced, and the displacement relative to the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20 is prevented. Can be suppressed.

Since the connector 1 demonstrated above is provided with the above-mentioned packing 30, there exists an effect that it can suppress that the waterproof performance of the packing 30 falls.

Moreover, since the wire harness 151 demonstrated above is provided with the above-mentioned packing 30, there exists an effect that it can suppress that the waterproof performance of the packing 30 of the connector 1 falls.

[Modification 1]
FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating a schematic configuration of the core material of the packing of the connector according to the first modification of the embodiment. FIG. 7 is a sectional view taken along line VII-VII in FIG. FIG. 8 is a sectional view taken along line VIII-VIII in FIG. 6 to 8, the same parts as those in the embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof is omitted.

The core member 32-1 of the packing 30 of the connector 1 according to the first modification of the embodiment includes a normal portion 36 and a small portion 37, as shown in FIG. The normal portion 36 refers to a portion having a constant cross-sectional area along the front-rear direction. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7, the normal portion 36 is a portion where the cross-sectional shape along the front-rear direction of the core member 32-1 is constant, that is, the cross-sectional shape along the front-rear direction and the cross-sectional area are equal. . In the first modification, the normal portion 36 is a portion in which the cross-sectional shape of the cross section along the front-rear direction of the core member 32-1 is round (circular) and the outer diameter is equal. When the packing 30 is attached to the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20, the normal portion 36 is provided at least on the flat surface 21 a of the housing 20, specifically, on the flat surface 21 a on the long side in front view.

The small portion 37 refers to a portion having a cross-sectional area that is smaller than that of the normal portion 36 and that passes through the central axis P and extends in the front-rear direction. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 8, the small portion 37 is a portion in which the cross-sectional shape along the front-rear direction of the core member 32-1 is smaller than the normal portion 36. In the first modification, the small portion 37 is formed by a notch 37a in which a part of the core material 32-1 is notched. The notch 37a is obtained by notching the core member 32-1 by a half of the cross section from the outer peripheral side toward the inner peripheral side. The small portion 37 is a portion in which the cross-sectional shape of the cross section along the front-rear direction of the core member 32-1 is a semicircular (semicircular) shape. When the packing 30 is attached to the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20, the small portion 37 is disposed in the circumferential direction of the core member 32-1 on the four corners 21 b of the housing 20 and the flat surface 21 a on the short side when viewed from the front. Provided at intervals. The small portion 37 makes the core member 32-1 easily elastically deformed so as to expand and contract the notch 37a. Further, a normal portion 36 is provided between the small portions 37.

According to the packing 30 of the modification 1 demonstrated above, there exists an effect that it can suppress that the waterproof performance of the packing 30 falls similarly to embodiment.

In addition, the packing 30 of the first modification includes a small portion 37 in which the core member 32-1 has a smaller cross-sectional area than the normal portion 36. Thereby, the packing 30 is easy to elastically deform the core material 32-1. As a result, when the packing 30 is attached to the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20, the space surrounded on the inside can be easily expanded, the housing 20 can be easily passed on the inside, and can be easily attached to the housing 20. , Has the effect.

Further, in the packing 30 according to the first modification, the normal portion 36 is provided on at least the flat surface 21a on the long side of the housing 20 as viewed from the front. Thereby, in the packing 30, the core member 32-1 on the flat side 21 a on the long side in the front view of the housing 20, which is easily misaligned, is not easily deformed, and the core member 32-1 has the concave portion 23 in the housing portion 33. Will be pressed against.

[Modification 2]
FIG. 9 is a perspective view illustrating a schematic configuration of the connector packing according to the second modification of the embodiment. 10 is a cross-sectional view taken along line IX-IX in FIG. 9 and 10, the same parts as those in the embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof is omitted.

As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the core material 32-2 of the packing 30-2 of the connector 1 according to the modification 2 of the embodiment has a cross-sectional shape of a cross section along the front-rear direction passing through the central axis P. It is formed in a rectangle. In Modification 2, the long side direction of the cross section of the core material 32-2 is parallel to the front-rear direction. That is, the long side direction of the cross section of the core material 32-2 is parallel to the long side direction of the cross section of the housing portion 33.

Also in the modified example 2, the core member 32-2 is embedded in the packing body 31 across the accommodating portion 33 and the outer peripheral surface mounting portion 34 in the circumferential direction, and the outer surface and inner periphery of the packing main body 31 are embedded. It is provided at a position where it is not exposed from the surface. Moreover, in the modification 2, the center part of the front-back direction of the core material 32-2 is provided between the top parts 35a of the two lip parts 35 in the front-back direction.

According to the packing 30-2 of the modification 2 demonstrated above, there exists an effect that it can suppress that the waterproof performance of the packing 30-2 falls similarly to embodiment.

Further, in the packing 30-2 of Modification 2, the cross-sectional shape of the cross section along the front-rear direction passing through the central axis P of the core material 32-2 is formed in a rectangular shape, and the long side of the cross section of the core material 32-2 is formed. The direction is parallel to the long side direction of the cross section of the accommodating portion 33. Thereby, when the packing 30-2 is attached to the counterpart component 200, the core material 32-2 is not easily elastically deformed even if it is going to be displaced, so that the core material 32-2 is particularly in the front-rear direction of the housing portion 33. It becomes easy to press both ends of the inside of the groove 23. As a result, in the packing 30-2, the accommodating portion 33 is pressed into the concave groove 23, so that the accommodating portion 33 is prevented from coming out of the concave groove 23, and the positional deviation with respect to the outer peripheral surface 21 of the housing 20 can be suppressed. When attached to the counterpart component 200, there is an effect that the waterproof performance of the packing 30-2 can be suppressed from being lowered.

The packings 30 and 30-2 according to the present invention are not limited to the above-described embodiments and modifications, and various modifications can be made within the scope described in the claims. For example, the packings 30 and 30-2 according to the present invention can variously change the cross-sectional shape of the core members 32, 32-1, and 32-2, and the cross-sectional shape of the notch 37a, that is, the small portion 37. In the present invention, the packings 30, 30-2 are added on the long side plane 21 a in front view, the normal portion 36 is provided on the short side plane 21 a, and only on the four corners 21 b of the housing 20. A small portion 37 may be provided. In the present invention, the core members 32, 32-1, and 32-2 do not have to be provided on the entire circumference of the housing 20 by providing a notch or the like. Furthermore, the present invention may be applied to a waterproof connector that is not electrically shielded.
