Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cover for covering a band heater provided in a heating cylinder of an injection molding machine.
As is well known in the art, an injection device of an injection molding machine includes a heating cylinder, a screw that can be driven in the rotation direction and the axial direction in the heating cylinder, and the like. A plurality of band heaters are wound around the outer periphery of the heating cylinder so that it can be heated. The heating cylinder or screw can be divided in the axial direction in view of the material supply, melting state, etc. For example, the rear side of the heating cylinder is the supply zone where resin pellets of the material are supplied, and the resin pellets are melted in the middle However, the melting zone where the solid resin pellets and the molten resin coexist, and the front side are like a kneading zone where the molten resin is kneaded and compressed. The plurality of band heaters wound around the heating cylinder are turned on / off independently for each zone, and each zone is controlled to have a desired target temperature.
Since the heating cylinder heated to 200 to 300 ° C. releases a large amount of heat to the outside air, it must be heated by the band heater correspondingly, resulting in a large energy loss. In view of this, there has been proposed an injection apparatus covered with a heat insulating cover having a heat retaining effect from above a band heater wound around the outer peripheral surface of the heating cylinder. In such an injection device, since the heat insulating cover suppresses the release of heat to the outside air, it is excellent in energy efficiency. By the way, in an injection molding machine, there is a case where it is desired to lower the set temperature of the heating cylinder by changing the color of the resin. When the temperature of the heating cylinder before the color change is higher than the set temperature, the heat cylinder is cooled by natural heat radiation or blown by a blower or the like to wait for the target temperature to be reached. However, if a heat insulating cover is provided on the heating cylinder, it takes a long time for cooling, so that the operation rate of the injection molding machine is lowered and the productivity of the molded product is deteriorated, resulting in an increase in cost. End up. Therefore, Patent Document 1 describes an injection apparatus including a heat insulating cover that solves such a problem. The heat insulating cover described in Patent Document 1 is composed of a breathable sheet that allows air to pass through the inner side in contact with the band heater, and an airtight sheet that does not allow air to pass through the exposed outer side. It is filled with insulation. And the compressed air for cooling can be supplied from the outside. Accordingly, when it is desired to lower the temperature of the heating cylinder due to the need for color change or the like, compressed air is supplied to the heat insulating cover. Then, the compressed air is diffused in the heat insulating material, and is supplied to the heating cylinder from the breathable sheet inside the heat insulating cover. As a result, the heating cylinder can be cooled in a relatively short time, and the operating rate of the injection molding machine can be increased.
The heat insulating cover described in Patent Document 1 can improve the energy efficiency of the injection molding machine, and can cool air by supplying air to the heat insulating cover when it is desired to lower the set temperature of the heating cylinder by color change or the like. The heating cylinder can be cooled in a relatively short time, and the operating rate can be kept high, which is excellent. However, there is room for improvement. Specifically, there is room for improvement in terms of cooling capacity and cooling rate. When the resin pellets are melted in the heating cylinder, the resin pellets are melted not only by the heat given by the band heater but also by the heat generated by the shearing force of the screw rotation. The viscosity of the resin is high, or the heat generated by the shearing force is large in a specific part of the heating cylinder, and even if the power supply to the band heater is stopped, the temperature of the heating cylinder may exceed the target temperature. . In order to prevent deterioration in quality, it is necessary to control the resin so that the temperature is in a desired range. In such a case, it is desired to cool the heating cylinder efficiently. Or I want to cool quickly. However, in the heat insulating cover described in Patent Document 1, since cooling air is supplied into the heat insulating cover, it cannot be said that the cooling efficiency is necessarily high and the cooling capacity is not large. . If it does so, temperature control of a heating cylinder will become difficult and it will become difficult to control to desired temperature.
An object of the present invention is to provide a cover for a heating cylinder that solves the above-described problems. Specifically, the present invention is not only high in energy efficiency but also excellent in cooling capacity. It is an object of the present invention to provide a heating cylinder cover that can be easily controlled.
In order to achieve the object of the present invention, a cover that covers a band heater wound around a heating cylinder is disposed outside a ventilation layer that is in contact with the band heater, and a ventilation layer that is in contact with the band heater. It consists of a heat insulating layer. The ventilation layer is composed of a net-like body formed with a predetermined thickness from a metal wire, and is preferably composed of a plurality of laminated copper meshes. The heat insulating layer includes a heat insulating material made of silica fiber or glass fiber. Cooling air is supplied from the outside to the cover. Preferably, the cooling air is supplied from the end of the ventilation layer, flows along the ventilation layer, and is discharged to the outside from the other end.
Thus, in order to achieve the above object, the invention according to claim 1 is a cover for covering the band heater wound around the heating cylinder, the cover being in contact with the band heater; The heat-insulating layer disposed outside the air-permeable layer, the air-permeable layer is composed of a net-like body formed of a metal wire with a predetermined thickness, and the heat-insulating layer is made of a silica fiber or glass fiber. And the cover is configured as a cover of a heating cylinder, wherein cooling air is supplied from the outside.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the cover according to the first aspect, the cooling air is supplied from an end portion of the ventilation layer, flows along the ventilation layer, and is discharged to the outside from the other end portion. It is comprised as a cover of the heating cylinder characterized by being adapted.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the cover according to the first or second aspect, the ventilation layer is formed of a plurality of laminated copper meshes, and is configured as a cover of a heating cylinder.
According to the present invention, the cover covers the band heater wound around the heating cylinder, and the cover includes a ventilation layer that comes into contact with the band heater, and a heat insulating layer disposed outside the ventilation layer. Has been. The ventilation layer is composed of a net-like body formed from a metal wire to a predetermined thickness, the heat insulation layer includes a heat insulation material made of silica fiber or glass fiber, and cooling air is supplied to the cover from the outside. It has become. The band heater is in contact with the ventilation layer, which is made of a metal wire material having excellent thermal conductivity, so that the heat of the band heater and the heating cylinder is efficiently transmitted to the ventilation layer. When cooling air is supplied to the cover from the outside, air is supplied to such a ventilation layer, and the heat of the band heater and the heating cylinder can be efficiently taken and cooled like a so-called heat sink. . That is, the band heater and the heating cylinder can be easily cooled simply by controlling the cooling air with sufficient cooling capacity. And cooling is possible in a short time. Furthermore, according to the present invention, since the heat insulating layer including the heat insulating material made of silica fiber or glass fiber is provided on the outer side of the ventilation layer, the heat retaining property is also excellent. That is, it is possible to heat the heating cylinder with energy saving by reducing heat loss to the outside. Since the cover of the present invention is composed of a ventilation layer with high cooling efficiency and a heat insulating layer with excellent heat retention, the heating cylinder can be controlled with high accuracy to the target temperature. As a result, a good-quality molded product can be obtained without impairing the quality of the resin. According to another invention, the cooling air is supplied from the end portion of the ventilation layer, flows along the ventilation layer, and is discharged to the outside from the other end portion. If it does so, the air for cooling will flow parallel to the outer peripheral surface of a band heater or a heating cylinder, and can take heat efficiently. That is, the cooling efficiency is further increased. According to another invention, the air-permeable layer is composed of a plurality of laminated copper meshes. Since copper is a metal with excellent thermal conductivity, high cooling efficiency can be obtained.
The injection device 1 according to the present embodiment is also configured in the same manner as the conventional injection device, and is driven in the axial direction and the rotational direction in the
In the injection apparatus 1 according to the present embodiment, the
