Abstract
Description
A.実験方法
1.使用材料
(1)既成灰
本実施例では、石炭灰の埋立て処分場の複数の区画から埋立て時期(1985年〜1994年)の異なる試料を表層部から0.5〜2mの範囲を対象として2007年に採取して用いた。埋立て時期は、発電所に保管されている資料に記述されている情報を基に判断した。各試料の試料名と埋立て時期を表1に示す。St85aとSt85bは、いずれも埋め立てられた年代は1985年であるが、埋め立てられた日時は異なっている。
本実施例では、JIS R5201に定められる普通ポルトランドセメントを用いた。
本実施例では、JIS R5201に定められる標準砂(ケイ砂)を用いた。
本実施例では、イオン交換水を用いた。
(1)組成分析
各試料をガラスビードに固溶、固定化し、蛍光X線分析(XRF)を用いて主要元素の構成比率を分析した。
コンクリート混和材用フライアッシュの品質を規定したJIS A6201(1999年度改訂版)に示されるブレーン値測定手法に従って比表面積を測定した。また、同JIS基準に従って密度を測定した。
レーザー回折散乱法(島津製作所社製SALD−3000)により各試料の粒度分布を測定した。分析時の溶媒はイオン交換水とした。屈折率は、参考文献1における知見に従い、1.80−0.00iとした(参考文献1:セメント・コンクリート論文集、No.52、pp.262−267、2004)。
各試料に対し、D乾燥(D−dry、マイナス80℃となる冷凍機を介した真空乾燥処理)を約1日間実施してから導電物質を蒸着してコーティングした後、電界放射型電子顕微鏡FE−SEM(日本電子社製JSM−7001F、JSM−7500F)を用いて各粒子の形状および表面性状を観察した。
各試料を乳鉢にて微粉砕し、試料台に固定した後に粉末X線回折装置(リガク社製RINT−2500、X線源:Cu)を用いて鉱物相を同定した。
示差熱・重量分析装置(島津製作所社製DTG−60)を用いて、加熱温度の変化による結合水等の揮発成分の放出に伴う質量減少を測定した。
水/結合材比を50%(重量比)、JIS R5201準拠標準砂を使用した砂/結合材比3(重量比)の標準配合のモルタルを用いて各試料を混和材として使用した際の流動性および強度発現性を評価した。基準モルタル(セメント単味モルタル)と試験モルタル(既成灰混和モルタル)の配合を表2に示す。表2中の数値の単位はグラム(g)である。
水銀圧入式細孔径分布測定装置(島津製作所社製オートポアIV)を用いて、材齢378日までの各モルタルの細孔径分布を孔径3nm以上の範囲で測定した。分析用試料は、強度試験に用いたモルタルの非載荷部のうち、中央部から5mm角程度の大きさで切り出し、アセトンに12時間浸漬した後に真空ポンプを用いて質量変化が無くなるまで約3日間真空乾燥させたものを用いた。なお、1試料に対し2回の測定を行い、その平均値を試験値とした。
電界放出形走査電子顕微鏡(FE−SEM)により、モルタル中で生成した各種水和物および細孔の形態観察を行った。また、エネルギー分散型X線分光法(EDX)により、ポゾラン反応相等の構成元素量を定量分析した。
1.既成灰の物理化学特性の分析結果
(1)化学組成
各試料の化学組成、ブレーン値および密度を表3に示す。表3において、OPCは普通ポルトランドセメントのことである。
表3に示される通り、いずれの試料においてもブレーン値が3900cm2/g以上となる高い値を示しており、コンクリート用混和材JIS A6201(1999)で規定されるII種品ブレーン値(2500〜5000cm2/g)に相当することが明らかとなった。
密度はいずれの試料においても2.20〜2.35g/cm3であり、有意な差は認められなかった。
レーザー回折・散乱法により測定した各既成灰試料の粒度分布を図1に示す。
図1に示されるように、粒径20〜30μm以上の粒子存在割合はSt85aでは多く、St90では少なかった。そこで、St85aとSt90を対象として粒子の表面性状を比較した。
各試料の鉱物相の同定結果を図10に示す。図10中、Qはクオーツを、Muはムライトを、Maはマグネタイトを、Heはヘマタイトを、CCは炭酸カルシウムを意味している。構成量の多い鉱物相としてのクオーツ(Q:SiO2)およびムライト(Mu:3Al2O3・2SiO2)を示すピーク強度は試料間で有意な差が認められなかった。マグネタイト(Ma:Fe3O4)を示すピークはSt90とSt94で顕著に認められた。また、炭酸カルシウム(CC:CaCO3)を示すピークはいずれの試料においても発生したが、St85a、St90、St94において顕著に認められた。これは、石炭灰に含まれていた生石灰(CaO)が溶出し、雨水に含まれる炭酸イオンと反応して生成したことによると推察された。
各試料の質量減少曲線を図11に示す。いずれの試料も40℃の乾燥炉において質量減少が無くなるまで乾燥処理を行っているため、粒子に付着していた水が揮発した状態にあると考えられる。室温から950℃までの間における質量減少率はSt90が−1.83%,St94が−9.52%を示し、試料間で大きな差が認められた。特にSt94の質量減少率が大きい原因としては、粒子表面の非晶質の析出物から放出される水の量が多いこと、並びに化学組成としてCaOを多く含むためにCa−Si系の二次鉱物相を生成していることが考えられた。
(1)フロー値比
表2に示す配合のうち、高性能減水剤を添加しないJIS A6201に示される基本的な配合としたモルタル(試験モルタル)のフロー値比を図12に示す。St85b、St90、St93を用いた試験モルタルのフロー値比は各々101%、96%、96%となり、JIS A6201に示されるII種のフライアッシュに相当する良好な流動性をもたらした。一方、St85aとSt94を用いた試験モルタルのフロー値比は各々80%、68%となり、流動性が大幅に低下した。これは、球状粒子が固着した塊状粒子(図2)を多く形成することで粗大粒子の構成割合が高まったことに起因すると考えられる(表4を参照)。
各既成灰をセメントに対して質量置換率25%で混和した試験モルタルの強度発現性を各試料の活性度指数として図13に示す。St90使用試験モルタルとSt93使用試験モルタルは材齢28日、および91日における活性度指数が各々81%(28日)および91%(91日)、80%(28日)および92%(91日)を示し、JIS A6201に示されるII種のフライアッシュに相当する活性度指数(28日:80%以上、91日:90%以上)を示した。また、St85b使用試験モルタルは材齢28日において活性度指数が78%となり、IV種相当(28日:60%以上、91日:70%以上)の値を示した。そして、これらの3試料を用いた試験モルタルについては材齢189日時点で活性度指数が98%以上となり、良好な強度発現性を示した。
材齢28日、91日、365日におけるモルタルを対象とした細孔径分布測定結果を各々図314、図15、図16に示す。なお、図14〜図16中の「OPC」は、既成灰を混和しないセメント単味モルタル(基準モルタル)を対象とした測定結果である。
いずれの材齢においても活性度指数に大きな差が認められたSt85a使用試験モルタルとSt85b使用試験モルタルのフライアッシュ粒子近傍における反応相の形態観察を行った。材齢365日のSt85a使用試験モルタルにおける内部反応相が顕在化した反応相の電子顕微鏡写真を図17に示し、材齢365日のSt85a使用試験モルタルにおける内部反応相が存在しない反応相の電子顕微鏡写真を図18に示し、材齢365日のSt85b使用試験モルタルにおける内部反応相が顕在化した反応相の電子顕微鏡写真を図19に示し、材齢365日のSt85b使用試験モルタルにおける内部反応相が存在しない反応相の電子顕微鏡写真を図20に示す。
Claims (3)
- 既成灰を混和材とするモルタルのフロー値比を求め、前記既成灰のコンクリート混和材としての適用性を前記フロー値比に基づいて評価することを特徴とする既成灰の評価方法。
- 請求項1に記載の評価方法によりコンクリート混和材としての適用性有りと評価された既成灰を含むことを特徴とするコンクリート混和材。
- 請求項2に記載のコンクリート混和材が配合されていることを特徴とするコンクリート。
