Abstract
Description
ある種類の装置は、繰返す海の波動などの繰返す行ったり来たりする動きの現象から電気エネルギを得る。動きは、エラストマーシートの繰返される伸張および緩和、ならびにシートの対向面に存在する電極の対応する近づくまたは遠ざかる動きを生じさせる。電極は電荷を含有するため、電極がともに近づいたり離れたりするように動くと、電極間の電圧が変化し、装置を発電に用いることができる。
発明の1つの実施形態に従うと、繰返し伸びるおよび緩むまたは行ったり来たりして動く第1の部分を、伸びるおよび緩むことがないまたは第1の部分とともに動かない剛性の第2の部分に電気的に接続する電気接続アセンブリを提供する。1つの例では、第1の部分は、繰返し伸びるおよび緩むエラストマー材料のシートに結合される一方で、第2の部分は、銅またはステンレス鋼から作られるものなどの変形不可能な硬いケーブル導体である。
図1は、海12の波の作用から発電するシステム10を示す。システムは、電気活性ポリマーなどのエラストマー(弾性)または伸張可能材料の管14を含む。図2に示すように、管は軸16を有して主に円筒形であり、これは14Eのように広がりまたは伸び、14Cまで縮む。水の量20は図示する特定の管を完全に満たし、浮揚性のために外側に何らかの発泡体を用いることができる。図3は、管の壁が、エラストマー材料の(端が合流した管の形態の)シート30と、シートの対向する面に対して存在する第1および第2のまたは内側および外側の電極32、34と、電極の上に存在する保護層40、42とを含む。各電極の上には電荷が存在する。好ましくは、各々がシート30と、電極32、34と、保護層40、42とから作られる複数の層が存在する。1枚の非常に長い丸まったシート30からそのような複数層配置を形成して、その表面に電極を有する弾性材料の小型の円筒を形成することができる。
電性流体で満たされる可撓性管172を通して空洞160に接続される。硬質の導体は、流体との直接接触により、袋および/または袋中の導電性流体に接続する。図11は、袋の中に存在し、流体と直接に接触するケーブル導体の平らにされた端174を示す。流体に圧力を加えるための手段は、流体に圧力を加えて流体が袋および空洞160を完全に満たすのを確実にする、弾力性のある袋または袋の中の拡張可能な気嚢(envelope)180を含むことができる。

- 伸びるおよび緩むことができるエラストマー材料のシート(30)の表面に存在する第2の電極(34,80)に硬質の導体(82,90)を接続するための電気接続アセンブリ(70)であって、第1の電極(32)は前記第2の電極に対向する前記シートの表面に存在し、前記電極間の電圧は前記シートが伸びるおよび緩むと変化し、
前記電気接続アセンブリ(70)は、空洞(76)を形成する、撓むことができる壁(72,34,80)を含み、前記空洞の壁は前記第2の電極(34,80)に接続され、前記電気接続アセンブリ(70)は、
前記空洞を満たすある量の電気伝導性流動可能材料(84)を含み、
前記硬質の導体(82,90)は導電性流動可能材料と電気的に接触して存在し、
前記シートは中空の筒の形状に延在し、ループ(72)は前記筒の上にあり、前記空洞(76)は、前記ループの下に存在して前記流動可能材料を保持する、アセンブリ。 - 空洞を形成する前記壁は、弾性材料の前記シート上に存在する前記第2の電極(34,80)を備える下側壁(74)と、前記下側壁と係合しかつこれに対して封止される、対向するループ端(105,107)を有するループ(106)の中に延在する上側壁(72)とを含み、かつ、前記下側壁の伸張とともに変化する距離だけ前記下側壁から離間するループ中間部(109)を有する、請求項1に記載のアセンブリ。
