Abstract
Description
蒸留水を用いて、炭酸水素カリウム0.5%水溶液及び炭酸カリウム0.5%水溶液をそれぞれ調製した。次いで、この両者を混合することにより、忌避剤を調製した(実施例1;pH9.5)。コントロールとして、蒸留水(コントロール1)及び炭酸水素カリウム0.5%水溶液(コントロール2;pH8.5)を用いた。
縦900mm×横600mm×高さ200mmの飼育箱を用意した。ムカデの逃亡を防ぐために、この飼育箱の内壁上部に流動パラフィンを塗布した。次いで、図1に示すように、この飼育箱の中心より上部に、縦120mm×横120mm×高さ10mmで飼育箱下面から5mmの隙間が開いた木製シェルターを2つ設置した。この2つのシェルターのうち、一方の内部には、実施例1の忌避剤を、もう一方の内部には、コントロール2の炭酸水素カリウム水溶液を、100cm2当たり1ml吹き付け、過剰な溶液は軽く拭き取った。また、飼育箱の中心より下半分に水及びペットフードを置いた。

出願人の勤務する会社の工場敷地内には河川及び雑木林に隣接している工場があり、以前からその工場に付随するトイレには多足類の侵入が認められた。そこで、実環境において、本発明の忌避剤の効果を検証した。実験場所として、出願人の工場敷地内にある隣接した、同一面積で同一の大きさの間口を持ったトイレ(部屋A及び部屋B)を使用した。両部屋を洗剤及び過剰量の水で洗浄し、乾燥させた。次いで、部屋Aの間口付近(周辺部と床面)に、実施例1の忌避剤を1平方メートル当たり10〜20ml満遍なく散布した。一方、部屋Bには、コントロール2の炭酸水素カリウム水溶液を同様に散布した。この洗浄から散布までを毎週月曜の朝に行い、7日間毎朝、部屋内部に侵入している虫類の数を記録した。
Claims (6)
- pHが8.8〜12であり、且つpHを前記範囲に調整する有効量で、pH調整剤としての無機塩を含有する溶液である、多足類及びゴキブリ類の少なくとも一方の忌避剤。
- 上記無機塩がアルカリ金属塩を含む、請求項1記載の忌避剤。
- 上記無機塩が、アルカリ金属炭酸水素塩及びアルカリ金属炭酸塩の少なくとも1種を含む、請求項1記載の忌避剤。
- 上記無機塩が、アルカリ金属炭酸水素塩及びアルカリ金属炭酸塩を含む、請求項1記載の忌避剤。
- 更に、ヒバオイル及びヒノキチオールの少なくとも一方を含有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の忌避剤。
- 殺虫成分を含有しない、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の忌避剤。
