Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a hard coat film for transparent electrodes.
A touch panel generally has a configuration in which a touch panel sensor is disposed on a display device such as a liquid crystal display. The touch panel sensor includes a resistance film method, a surface acoustic wave method, an infrared method, an electromagnetic induction method, a capacitance method, and the like. The capacitance method further includes a surface type and a projection type. The projected capacitive method is often used in tablet-type mobile terminals such as smartphones because it can accurately determine the position touched by a finger and can detect multiple points.
The projected capacitive touch panel sensor has a structure in which a plurality of transparent electrode layers formed in a diamond-like pattern or a fine-line-like pattern are overlapped via an insulating translucent substrate. For example, a touch panel can be obtained by forming a transparent conductive film on one side of a translucent substrate by sputtering or the like, and bonding a plurality of translucent substrates with a transparent electrode layer formed by etching the transparent conductive film to form a transparent electrode layer. Is formed. As a material for the transparent electrode layer, indium tin oxide (ITO) is often used because of its excellent transparency and conductivity.
Conventionally, a glass plate is used as the translucent substrate, and a transparent resin film is also used in recent years. As the transparent resin film, a polyethylene terephthalate (hereinafter also referred to as “PET”) film is often used.
The transparent resin film has a lower surface hardness than the glass plate. Therefore, a hard coat layer is usually provided on the surface of the transparent resin film for the purpose of preventing the surface from being damaged during work. In some cases, the hard coat layer may have an anti-blocking function to form an anti-blocking hard coat layer.
The surface on the transparent electrode layer side of the translucent substrate with a transparent electrode layer has a region where the transparent electrode layer exists and a region where the transparent electrode layer does not exist, so-called bone shape in which the pattern shape of the transparent electrode layer can be seen. Visual problems arise.
One of the causes of bone appearance is a difference in optical characteristics (light reflectance, transmittance, etc.) between a region where the transparent electrode layer is present and a region where the transparent electrode layer is not present. Therefore, in order to reduce the difference in optical characteristics between these regions, it has been proposed to provide an optical adjustment layer between the translucent substrate and the transparent electrode layer (for example, Patent Document 1).
In recent years, with the reduction in weight and thickness of portable terminals and the like, a thin transparent substrate with a transparent electrode layer is also required. However, if the thickness of the translucent substrate is reduced in order to reduce the thickness of the translucent substrate with a transparent electrode layer, the above-mentioned problem of bone appearance becomes more prominent.
According to the study by the present inventors, when the translucent substrate is thinned, not only the bone appearance (color appearance) due to the difference in optical characteristics as described above but also the region where the transparent electrode layer exists and the transparent electrode layer exist. The appearance of bone (physical bone appearance) due to a three-dimensional factor such as a step near the boundary with the non-performing area becomes a problem.
An object of this invention is to provide the hard-coat film for transparent electrodes which can suppress physical bone appearance when a transparent electrode layer is formed.

The upper limit of the stiffness is not particularly limited from the viewpoint of suppressing physical bone appearance. In terms of productivity (for example, roll-to-roll transportability) of the hard coat film 1, 8.0 mN · m or less is preferable, and 4.0 mN · m or less is more preferable.

The translucent conductive film is formed by, for example, a manufacturing method including a step of forming a transparent conductive film on the transparent electrode
As a method for forming the transparent conductive film, a known method can be appropriately used. For example, a vacuum deposition method, a sputtering method, a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method, an ion plating method, a spray method, and the like can be given.
In the case of the sputtering method, a normal sputtering method using an oxide target, a reactive sputtering method using a metal target, or the like is used. At this time, oxygen, nitrogen, or the like may be introduced as a reactive gas, or means such as ozone addition, plasma irradiation, or ion assist may be used in combination. In addition, a bias such as direct current, alternating current, and high frequency may be applied to the substrate as long as the object of the present invention is not impaired.
As a method for forming a transparent conductive film, a method of forming a transparent conductive film by sputtering under a high vacuum degree of about 2.0 × 10 −4 Pa is preferable from the viewpoint of surface resistance stability.
After film formation, in order to increase the refractive index of the transparent conductive film, it is preferable to perform a sintering process at 135 to 170 ° C. for about 1 to 2 hours.
As a method for patterning the transparent conductive film, a known method can be appropriately used. For example, a method of forming a resist pattern on a transparent conductive film by a known photolithography method and etching the transparent conductive film using the resist pattern as a mask can be mentioned.

The OCA layer is a transparent adhesive layer. The total light transmittance (JIS K7105) of the OCA layer is preferably 85% or more, and more preferably 90% or more. It does not specifically limit as an OCA layer, A well-known OCA layer is employable.

(Function and effect)
Since the hard coat film 1 of the present invention has the above-described configuration, it is possible to suppress the physical bone appearance of the transparent electrode layer formed on the surface on the
When a transparent electrode layer is formed on a conventional hard coat film, if the thickness of the hard coat film is reduced, bones appear due to the difference in optical properties between the area where the transparent electrode layer is present and the area where the transparent electrode layer is not present. In addition to (color appearance), bone appearance (physical bone appearance) due to three-dimensional factors becomes a problem. That is, when the hard coat film becomes thin, deformation such as shrinkage and undulation is likely to occur due to heat when forming the transparent conductive film. In addition, when etching the transparent conductive film, the surface of the hard coat film is recessed near the boundary (etching interface) between the area where the transparent conductive film is removed and the area where the transparent conductive film is not removed, resulting in a step larger than the thickness of the transparent electrode layer. End up. Thus, the unevenness | corrugation arises on the surface of a hard coat film, and the bone appearance of a transparent electrode layer arises. In particular, the etching interface is a boundary between a region where the transparent electrode layer exists and a region where the transparent electrode layer does not exist. If a large step is formed in this portion, the physical bone appearance of the transparent electrode layer is likely to occur.
In the hard coat film 1, the
Therefore, even if the translucent conductive film obtained using the hard coat film 1 is thin, the physical bone appearance of the transparent electrode layer is suppressed. Therefore, it is useful for a projected capacitive touch panel sensor.

Each configuration in the above embodiment, a combination thereof, and the like are examples, and the addition, omission, replacement, and other modifications of the configuration can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

The first base film may further have a layer other than the translucent substrate, the easy adhesion layer, and the hard coat layer.
Examples of other layers that the first base film may have include, for example, an optical adjustment layer (index matching layer), a polarizing layer, a light diffusion layer, a low reflection layer, an antifouling layer, an antistatic layer, an ultraviolet ray and a near layer. An infrared (NIR) absorption layer, an electromagnetic wave shielding layer, etc. are mentioned.
When the first base film has another layer, the other layer is, for example, between the easy adhesion layer and the hard coat layer, on the hard coat layer (the side opposite to the easy adhesive layer side), and the easy adhesion layer. In addition, it can be provided on a light-transmitting substrate on the side where the hard coat layer is not laminated.
Of the other layers, the optical adjustment layer is usually disposed on the side of the
The optical adjustment layer is a layer having a function of reducing the difference between the optical characteristics of the region where the transparent electrode layer is present and the optical characteristics of the region where the transparent electrode layer is not present.
Existence of the transparent electrode layer on the surface of the transparent electrode layer side of the transparent conductive film obtained by forming the transparent electrode layer in a diamond-like or fine-line pattern on the transparent electrode layer-forming surface of the hard coat film There are areas where the transparent electrode layer does not exist, and bone appearance (color appearance) is likely to occur due to differences in optical characteristics (light reflectance, transmittance, etc.) between these areas. The presence of the optical adjustment layer on the transparent electrode layer forming surface suppresses bone appearance due to a difference in optical characteristics.
The configuration of the optical adjustment layer is not particularly limited, and a known optical adjustment layer configuration can be adopted. Examples thereof include those composed of a low refractive index layer, those composed of a high refractive index layer, and those composed of a combination of a low refractive index layer and a high refractive index layer. In the above combination, a plurality of high refractive index layers and low refractive index layers may exist.
As a configuration in which the low refractive index layer and the high refractive index layer are combined, a configuration in which the high refractive index layer and the low refractive index layer are laminated in this order from the translucent substrate side is preferable.
A low refractive index layer is a layer whose refractive index is lower than the refractive index of the transparent electrode layer formed on the transparent electrode layer forming surface. For example, when the transparent electrode layer is ITO, the refractive index of the low refractive index layer is preferably 1.40 to 1.55, and more preferably 1.45 to 1.50.
In the present invention, the “refractive index” is a value measured by an Abbe refractometer of the coating film after curing.
Examples of the material for the low refractive index layer include acrylate resins, silicon dioxide fine particles, and hollow silica containing or coordinated with a low refractive index material such as a fluorine compound or silicone.
Examples of the method for forming the low refractive index layer include a wet method and a dry method, and any method may be used. Examples of the wet method include roll coating, spin coating, and spray coating. Examples of the dry method include sputtering, ion plating, and plasma CVD. The roll coating method is particularly preferable because it is advantageous for cost reduction.
The high refractive index layer is a layer having a refractive index higher than that of the low refractive index layer. For example, when the refractive index of the low refractive index layer is 1.50, the refractive index of the high refractive index layer is preferably 1.62 to 1.66, and more preferably 1.64 to 1.65.
Examples of the material for the high refractive index layer include metal oxide films such as zirconia and titania, and resins in which metal oxide fine particles are dispersed.
As a method for forming the high refractive index layer, there are a wet method, a dry method and the like, as in the case of the low refractive index layer, and either method may be used. A method of coating a resin in which zirconia particles are dispersed by a roll coating method is particularly preferable because it is advantageous for cost reduction.

(Physical bone appearance)
DC sputtering was performed with a sputtering machine manufactured by Kobelco, and an ITO film (In: Sn = 90: 10 (mass ratio)) was formed on the surface of the hard coat film obtained in each example on the hard coat layer A side. Then, it heated at 150 degreeC for 60 minute (crystallization process) with heating oven, air-cooled, the transparent conductive film was formed, and the hard-coat film with a transparent electrode layer was obtained. The degree of vacuum during film formation was 10 −4 Pa. The film thickness of the formed transparent conductive film was 0.02 μm.
Next, after forming one row of adhesive tapes (laboratory tape manufactured by Yodogawa Paper Mill, width 25 mm, length 35 mm) by providing six 2 mm square through holes at equal intervals in the width direction, a similar row of through holes is further formed. 5 rows were equally spaced. That is, 30 2 mm square through holes were provided in an adhesive tape having a width of 25 mm and a length of 35 mm.
Next, using the adhesive tape provided with 30 through holes as a mask for etching, it was attached to the surface of the transparent conductive film of the hard coat film with the transparent electrode layer, and the obtained laminate was heated to 50 ° C. The transparent conductive film was etched by immersing in 22% hydrochloric acid for 2 minutes. Thereafter, it was washed with water and dried, and the adhesive tape was peeled off. This obtained the hard-coat film with a transparent electrode layer which has the etched transparent conductive film.
Next, the hard coat film with a transparent electrode layer having the etched transparent conductive film was visually observed under a three-wavelength fluorescent lamp, and the state of physical bone appearance was evaluated according to the following criteria.
◯: When the hard coat film with a transparent electrode layer is observed at an angle of 90 degrees and oblique 45 degrees, the boundary between the area where the transparent electrode layer exists and the area where the transparent electrode layer does not exist cannot be seen. Or, when the hard coat film with a transparent electrode layer is observed at an angle of 90 degrees, the boundary is not visible, but when the angle is observed at an oblique angle of 45 degrees, the boundary is slightly visible, so that the pattern shape of the transparent electrode layer is slightly Observed.
Δ: When the hard coat film with a transparent electrode layer is observed at an angle of 90 °, the boundary between the region where the transparent electrode layer is present and the region where the transparent electrode layer is not present is not visible, but is observed at an oblique angle of 45 ° When the boundary is visible, the pattern shape of the transparent electrode layer is clearly observed.
X: When the hard coat film with a transparent electrode layer is observed at an angle of 90 degrees and 45 degrees obliquely, the boundary between the area where the transparent electrode layer is present and the area where the transparent electrode layer is not present can be easily seen, so that the transparent electrode The pattern shape of the layer is observed at both angles.
(Boundary step)
The thickness of the cross-section in the width direction of the hard coat film with a transparent electrode layer produced by the evaluation of physical bone appearance was measured with a laser microscope. From the measurement result, from the maximum thickness and the minimum thickness within the range of the position ± 1000 nm of the boundary between the portion where the transparent electrode layer exists and the portion where the transparent electrode layer does not exist in the width direction of the cross section, The boundary step (μm) was determined.
Boundary step = maximum thickness (μm) −minimum thickness (μm) −transparent electrode layer thickness (μm)

(Preparation of adhesive resin A)
As monomers, butyl acrylate (334.1 g), 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (259.9 g), and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (6.0 g) were weighed and mixed well to obtain a polymerizable monomer mixture (A1). 160 g of ethyl acetate and 300 g of polymerizable monomer mixture (A1) were placed in a flask. Also, 300 g of the polymerizable monomer mixture (A1), 16 g of ethyl acetate and 0.15 g of Nyper BMT-K40 (polymerization initiator, manufactured by NOF Corporation) are put in the dropping funnel and mixed well to add a mixture for dropping (B2 )created. While flowing nitrogen gas at 20 mL / min, the internal temperature of the flask was raised to 95 ° C., and Niper BMT-K40 (0.20 g) as a polymerization initiator was charged into the flask to initiate the polymerization reaction. The dropping mixture (B1) was dropped from the dropping funnel over 90 minutes. After completion of the dropwise addition of the mixture for dropping (B1), aging was performed for 6 hours while diluting with ethyl acetate in accordance with the increase in viscosity. After completion of the reaction, a pressure-sensitive adhesive resin A having a weight average molecular weight of 1.3 million and a hydroxyl value of 4.6 mgKOH / g was obtained.

In producing the second substrate film, a hard coat film was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the adhesive resin A was used as it was instead of the adhesive composition c.
The hard coat film of each example was evaluated for stiffness, physical bone appearance, and boundary step. The results are shown in Table 1.
As shown in the above results, the hard coat films of Examples 1 and 2 had good evaluation results of the physical bone appearance of the transparent electrode layer. Further, no boundary step was generated.
On the other hand, the hard coat film of Comparative Example 1 using the first base film having a stiffness of 0.1 mN · m as it was had a poor evaluation result of physical bone appearance. In addition, a boundary step was generated.
Similar to Comparative Example 1, the hard coat film of Comparative Example 2 having a stiffness of 0.8 mN · m had a poor evaluation result of physical bone appearance. In consideration of the evaluation result of physical bone appearance, the boundary step was not confirmed in Comparative Example 2 because the deformation of the entire hard coat film was deformed and the boundary step was not accurately measured. Is done.
The hard coat film of Comparative Example 3 having a stiffness of 2.5 mN · m had a poor evaluation result of physical bone appearance. In addition, a boundary step was generated.
