Abstract
Description
本明細書中では、以下の略号が用いられる:
「PMMA」は、ポリメトメタクリレートを意味する;
「PC」は、ポリカーボネートを意味する;
「BMP」は、ブチルメルカプトプロピオネートを意味する;
「MMA」は、メチルメタクリレートを意味する;
「(メト)アクリレート」は、アクリレートまたはメタクリレートを意味する;
「CHMA」は、シクロヘクスメチルメタクリレートを意味する;
「nDDM」は、ノルマル・ドデシルメルカプタンを意味する。
溶液重合法を用いたメチルメタクリレートおよびシクロヘキシルメタクリレートポリマー(Mod.MMA1)のコポリマーの調製
1000gのメチルエチルケトン(MEK)を、吸入口および冷却器を装備した5リットル丸底フラスコに投入した。90rpmの速度で櫂型撹拌器で撹拌しながら、内容物を75℃に加熱し、窒素で静かに一掃した。一掃の30分後、0.94gのTRIGONOX 125−C75(tert−ブチルペルオキシピバレート、AkzoNobel Companyから入手可能)をケトルに投入した;その後、752gのメチルメタクリレート、189gのシクロヘキシルメタクリレート、9.6gのTrigonox 150−C75(47gのMEK中)および28gのブチルメルカプトプロピオネートを、温度を75℃に保持しながら、3つの異なる流れとして3時間に亘って供給した。
鉛筆硬度
硬度は、本明細書中で用いる場合、ASTM D3363−05「鉛筆試験による皮膜硬さに関する標準試験方法」に従って決定される硬度を指す。この標準試験に従ったが、但し、3×50×50mmの寸法を有するプラークの形状の射出成形試験検体に関して試験を実行した。750gの負荷でもっとも硬い鉛筆で出発して、鉛筆を45°の角度で保持して、オペレーターから離れてプラークの表面を横断して引く。基板硬度は、表面を引っ掻かなかったもっとも硬い鉛筆の硬度として報告される。柔らかいから硬いまでの鉛筆硬度尺度は、2B、B、HB、F、H、2H、3H等である。
「分子量」という用語は、本明細書中で用いる場合、Polymer Laboratoriesデータ操作ソフトウェアを用いて、25℃でのテトラヒドロフラン溶媒中の狭分子量ポリスチレン標準に対するゲル浸透クロマトグラフィーにより確定されるようなピーク平均分子量を指す。
小型アルミニウム鍋中に密封されたポリマーの小試料(5〜20mg)を用いて、TA INSTRUMENTS Q1000示差走査熱量計で、ガラス転移を測定する。鍋をDSC装置中に置き、その熱流動応答を、室温から180℃まで、10℃/分の速度で走査することにより記録する。ガラス転移温度は、熱流動曲線における異なるシフトとして観察される。
透明プラスチックD1003−11のヘイズ値および視感透過率に関するASTM標準試験方法を、異なる検体のヘイズ値を測定するために用いた。
落槍による平坦剛性プラスチック検体の衝撃抵抗に関するASTM標準試験方法、D5628−10を用いて、異なる検体の衝撃抵抗を確定した。
Claims (15)
- 50〜95重量%のポリカーボネート;および
5〜50重量%の修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマー
からなる配合物を含む耐擦傷性製品であって、
前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、修飾メチルメタクリレートホモポリマー、修飾メチルメタクリレートコポリマーおよびその組合せからなる群から選択され;
前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、メルカプトエステル、シクロアルキルおよび置換シクロアルキルチオール、ヒドロキシルチオール、アリールおよび置換アリールチオール、ならびにアミノアルキルチオールからなる群から選択される1つ以上の連鎖移動剤との反応により提供される1つ以上の末端基を有し;
前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、5,000〜100,000g/モルのMwを有し;そして
前記配合物が、ASTM D3363−05に従って測定されるFと等しいかまたはそれより大きい鉛筆硬度を示す
配合物を含む耐擦傷性製品。 - 前記配合物が、ASTM D1003に従って測定される50%と等しいかまたはそれより小さいヘイズ値を有する請求項1記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、メチルメタクリレートに由来する70以上の重量%単位、ならびに(シクロ)アルキル(メト)アクリレート、アルキル(メト)アクリレート、アリール(メト)アクリレート、スチレンおよび置換スチレンベースのモノマーからなる群から選択される1つ以上のモノマーに由来する1より大きく、30以下の重量%単位を含む修飾メチルメタクリレートコポリマーである前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 前記修飾メチルメタクリレートコポリマーが、メチルメタクリレートに由来する70以上の重量%単位、ならびにシクロヘキシルメタクリレート、イソボルニルメタクリレート、テトラヒドロフルフリルメタクリレート、シクロペンチルメタクリレート、ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート、トリフルオロエチルメタクリレートおよびジシクロペンタジエニルメタクリレートからなる群から選択される1つ以上のモノマー単位に由来する1より大きく30以下の重量%単位を含む前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、前記メチルメタクリレートポリマーの総重量を基礎にして、0.5〜10重量%の連鎖移動剤の反応から生成される前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 前記連鎖移動剤が、ブチルメルカプトプロピオネート、メチルメルカプトプロピオネート、ベンジルメルカプタン、フルフリルメルカプタン、1−フェニルエチルメルカプタン、シクロヘキシルメルカプタン、2−エチルヘキシルチオグリコレートおよびメルカプトエタノールからなる群から選択される前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 前記修飾メチルメタクリレートが、乳化重合、懸濁重合、分散重合、塊状重合および溶液重合からなる群から選択される1つ以上のフリーラジカル重合技法により調製される前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが溶液重合により調製される前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、1.52未満の屈折率を有する前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- カレンダー法、押出、圧縮成形および射出成形からなる群から選択される1つ以上の方法により製造される前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 押出、積層、共押出、注型押出および吹込成形からなる群から選択される1つ以上の方法により製造される前記請求項のいずれか一項に記載の耐擦傷性製品。
- 溶融混合により配合物を生成すること(ここで、前記配合物は、50〜95重量%のポリカーボネートおよび5〜50重量%の修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーを含み;
前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、修飾メチルメタクリレートホモポリマー、修飾メチルメタクリレートコポリマーまたはその組合せからなる群から選択され;メルカプトエステル、シクロアルキルおよび置換シクロアルキルチオール、ヒドロキシルチオール、アリールおよび置換アリールチオール、ならびにアミノアルキルチオールからなる群から選択される1つ以上の連鎖移動剤との反応により提供される1つ以上の末端基を有し;
前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、5,000〜100,000g/モルのMwを有し;
前記配合物が、ASTM D3363−05に従って測定されるFと等しいかまたはそれより大きい鉛筆硬度を示す);ならびに
押出、射出成形、圧縮成形およびカレンダー法からなる群から選択される1つ以上の方法により前記配合物から前記耐擦傷性製品を生成すること
を包含する耐擦傷性製品の製造方法。 - 前記配合物が、ASTM D1003に従って測定される50%と等しいかまたはそれより小さいヘイズ値を有する請求項14記載の方法。
- 前記配合物が、ASTM D3363−05に従って測定されるFと等しいかまたはそれより大きい鉛筆硬度を有する請求項14〜15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記修飾メチルメタクリレートポリマーが、メチルメタクリレートに由来する70以上の重量%単位、ならびにアルキル(メト)アクリレート、アリール(メト)アクリレート、スチレン、置換スチレンベースのモノマーからなる群から選択される1つ以上のモノマーに由来する1より大きく、30以下の重量%単位を含む修飾メチルメタクリレートコポリマーである請求項14〜16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
