- 前記ロッドコネクタは前記ロッドコネクタに回転可能に保持される回転要素を備え、前記回転要素は、前記既存の脊椎ロッドと係合するための面を有する第1の端部および前記回転要素を回転するための器具と係合する構成を有する第2の反対側の端部を備え、それにより前記フックを含む前記第1の部分は前記第2の部分に対して回転する、請求項16に記載のロッドコネクタ。
- 前記フックは、前記既存の脊椎ロッドを受容するための開口を規定し、前記回転要素の前記第1の端部における前記面は、前記既存のロッドと係合するように前記開口内に可動式で突出する、請求項18に記載のロッドコネクタ。
- 前記回転要素は、前記開口内の前記回転要素の前記第1の端部を垂直に付勢するバネ要素により前記第1の部分で可動式に支持される、請求項19に記載のロッドコネクタ。
- 前記第2の部分によって支持される回転可能なロック要素をさらに備え、前記ロック要素が回転すると、前記第1の部分および前記第2の部分を前記第2のロックされた位置にロックする、請求項20に記載のロッドコネクタ。
- 前記回転可能なロック要素は、前記回転要素の第1の端部を前記既存の脊椎ロッドに対して強制する前記回転要素の第2の反対側の端部と係合するように構成される遠位端を含み、前記ロッドコネクタの前記第1の部分および第2の部分は前記第2のロックされた位置において一緒に引かれる、請求項21に記載のロッドコネクタ。
- 前記第2の部分の前記接続部分は、前記第2の部分から内側に突出する細長い追加のロッドを備え、自由遠位端で終端する、請求項16に記載のロッドコネクタ。
- 前記細長い追加の脊椎ロッドは固定軸を規定し、前記ロッドコネクタの前記第2の部分は、第1の軸に対して横方向である第2の軸に沿って前記ロッドコネクタの前記第1の部分に取り付けられ、前記第1の部分および第2の部分は前記第2の軸周囲で相対的に関節接合される、請求項23に記載のロッドコネクタ。

- 前記接続部分は、前記第2の部分に対してオフセットし、側面において前記追加の脊椎ロッドを支持し、前記既存の脊椎ロッドにほぼ平行であるように方向付けられる前記直立アームによって規定される前記スロットを有して配置される、請求項28に記載のロッドコネクタ。
- 前記接続部分は、前記第2の部分に対してオフセットし、前記既存の脊椎ロッドに対してほぼ平行で、同一直線上にあるように前記追加の脊椎ロッドを支持するように方向付けられる前記直立アームによって規定される前記スロットを有して配置される、請求項28に記載のロッドコネクタ。
