Abstract
Description
−ディタッチ(detached)状態でトリガー指示子を受信し通信を行う。
−S6a上にCS領域移動性管理(CS domain mobility management)メッセージをピギーバック(Piggyback)させること
−SMSに関連したMAP手順を処理するために、MME上においてMSCサーバ機能が選択的に(optional)並存(collocation)すること(Diameter上にインターワーキングされうる)
−SMSのためのMAP手順に関連した3GPP TS 29.305 IWF(interworking function)上のMAP−Diameterインターワーキング手順の追加
以下、具体的な手順がさらに説明される。
Claims (13)
- HSS/HLR(Home Subscriber Server/Home Location Register)を備える無線ネットワークと移動端末(mobile station;MS)との間にSMS(Short Messaging Service)のためにMME(Mobility Management Entity)を登録する信号を処理する方法であって、
前記SMSを支援するMSC(Mobile Switching Center)機能を備える前記MMEから前記HSS/HLRに、PS(Packet Switched)及びCS(Circuit Switched)結合位置更新要求(combined location update request)を前記MME及びHSS/HLR間のインターフェスを介して、結合TA(Tracking Area)及びLA(Location Area)更新手順の一部として送信するステップと、
SMS−SC(SMS Service Center)またはSMS−GMSC/IWMSC(SMS Gateway MSC/Interworking MSC)から前記MMEで、前記移動端末(MS)に伝達されるSMSメッセージに関連したSMSシグナルリングを受信するステップとを含み、
前記SMSシグナルリングは、前記SMS−SCまたは前記SMS−GMSC/IWMSから、MAP(Media Access Protocol)インターフェスとDiameterインターフェスとの間のインターワーキング(interworking)を提供するIWF(Inter−Working Function)を介して受信される方法。 - 前記MAPインターフェスは、前記SMS−GMSC/IWMS及び前記SMS−SCのうちの何れか一つと前記IWFとの間で設定され、前記Diameterインターフェスは、前記IWF及び前記MMEの間で設定される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記SMSシグナルリングは、SGs(Service Gateways)インターフェスを使用せずに前記MMEに受信される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記MME及びHSS/HLRの間のインターフェスは、S6aインターフェスである請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記TA更新手順は、PS領域(Packet Switched domain)手順に関連し、前記LA更新手順は、CS領域(Circuit Switched domain)手順に関連する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記移動端末(MS)は、シングルモードE−UTRAN装置である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記移動端末は、ただLTE(Long Term Evolution)のみを支援する端末である請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記MSC機能は、無線インターフェス上においてSMSシグナルリングを処理する機能とDiameterインターフェス上においてSMSシグナルリングを処理する機能のうち、少なくとも一つを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記無線インターフェスは、SM−RP(short message relay protocol)及びSM−CP(short message control protocol)のうち、少なくとも何れか一つを支援する請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記送信するステップは、MTC(machine−type communication)装置トリガーリング(triggering)の遂行に関連する請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記PS及びCS結合位置更新要求は、SMS要求のための登録に関連した情報要素を含み、前記情報要素は、前記MMEが前記SMSを支援することを指示する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記PS及びCS結合位置更新要求は、フラグ情報を含み、前記フラグ情報は、前記MMEが前記SMSを支援することを指示する請求項1に記載の方法。
- SMS(Short Messaging Service)のためにHSS/HLR(Home Subscriber Server/Home Location Register)を登録するMME(Mobility Management Entity)において、
前記SMSを支援するMSC(Mobile Switching Center)機能を備える前記MMEから前記HSS/HLRに、PS(Packet Switched)及びCS(Circuit Switched)結合位置更新要求(combined location update request)を前記MME及びHSS/HLRの間のインターフェスを介して、結合TA(Tracking Area)及びLA(Location Area)更新手順の一部として送信し、
SMS−SC(SMS Service Center)またはSMS−GMSC/IWMSC(SMS Gateway MSC/Interworking MSC)から前記MMEで、前記移動端末(MS)に伝達されるSMSメッセージに関連したSMSシグナルリングを受信するように設定されるトランシーバーを備える装置。
