Description

The present invention relates to a union nut fitting. More specifically, a joint main body having a tapered receiving part in which an external thread is engraved on the outer peripheral surface and a non-threaded joining pipe is inserted into the receiving part, and a union that is screwed and tightened to the receiving part. The present invention relates to a union nut pipe joint including a nut and an annular rubber packing having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the joint pipe and interposed between the joint body and the union nut.

Conventionally, when repairing an existing pipe 11 ′ as shown in FIG. 12, for example, when a pipe joint 1 ′ is attached (FIGS. (3) to (5)), a wet lubricant such as oil is applied to the outer surface of the pipe, The movement (slide) of the joint 1 ′ is facilitated. However, the work efficiency has been reduced by the application of the lubricant. Further, when sand, dust or the like adheres to the lubricant, the adhering matter is caught in the pipe, causing a subsequent water leak.

By the way, the applicant of the present application has developed a packing as shown in Patent Document 1. As shown in FIG. 9, this packing 4 'can be easily deformed by providing a plurality of annular ridges 41', 42 'on its inner peripheral surface 40'A, and has a watertightness with a low tightening torque. Secured. However, for example, in the pipe joint 1 ′ having a medium diameter (65 to 100 mm) or more, the pipe joint 1 ′ itself is heavy, and as shown in FIG. 10, the packing 4 ′ is easily deformed and pressed against the pipe 10 by its own weight. For this reason, it is difficult to smoothly move the pipe joint 1 ′ on the pipe 10, and workability is reduced. Further, since the center of the pipe 10 and the pipe joint 1 ′ is shifted due to the deformation of the packing 4 ′, it is difficult for the pipe 10 to come into contact with the packing 4 ′ of the other receiving portion 21 ′ B and to be smoothly inserted. Furthermore, for example, as shown in FIG. 11, when an unexpected external force F is applied to the pipe joint 1 ′, the pipe upper part 4′a of the packing 4 ′ is greatly deformed and the pipe lower part 4′b of the packing 4 ′ is deformed. There was a possibility that the compression was loosened and the water tightness was lowered.

In view of such a conventional situation, an object of the present invention is to provide a union nut fitting that has good workability and can ensure and maintain high water tightness even with a small tightening torque.

In order to achieve the above object, the union nut fitting according to the present invention is characterized in that it has a tapered receiving part in which an external thread is engraved on the outer peripheral surface, and a non-threaded joining pipe is inserted into the receiving part. A joint main body, a union nut screwed and fastened to the receiving portion, and an annular rubber having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the joint pipe and interposed between the joint main body and the union nut In the configuration including the packing, the rubber packing has a plurality of ridges on at least an inner peripheral surface facing the joining pipe, and an inner diameter at the smallest diameter portion of the union nut and an inner diameter at the smallest diameter portion of the joint body are The joint body is smaller than the inner diameter of the rubber packing, and the joint body has a stepped portion between the inner end of the receiving part and the smallest diameter part of the joint body. It is in having.

First, the rubber packing used for this invention has a some uneven | corrugated strip | line on the internal peripheral surface facing a joining pipe at least. The rubber packing is compressed and deformed with a light tightening force by the plurality of concavo-convex strips to ensure water tightness. However, since it is compressed and deformed with a light tightening force, workability is good, but even when an unexpected load is applied, the rubber packing is easily deformed according to the load.
According to the above characteristic configuration, the inner diameter at the smallest diameter portion of the union nut and the inner diameter at the smallest diameter portion of the joint body are larger than the outer diameter of the joining pipe and smaller than the inner diameter of the rubber packing, so that the pipe joint is joined. When moving (sliding) while being inserted through the pipe, the rubber packing does not come into contact with the joining pipe, and the pipe joint can be moved smoothly without the rubber packing becoming a resistance. Even if the weight of the joint body increases, the smallest diameter part of the union nut and the smallest diameter part of the joint body that have an inner diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the rubber packing come into contact with the joint pipe to support its own weight. Therefore, the pipe joint can be moved smoothly without contacting the joint pipe. Moreover, the joint body has a step portion between the inner end portion of the receiving portion and the minimum diameter portion of the joint body. As a result, a filling allowance for the rubber packing is ensured on the joint body side, so that the compression deformation of the rubber packing due to the tightening of the union nut is guided to the joint body side, and the stepped portion is filled with the rubber packing. Therefore, the tightening operation can be performed with a small tightening torque without using an expensive torque wrench for a pipe wrench, and high water tightness can be secured and maintained even in the rubber packing that is easily compressed and deformed as described above. In this way, both workability (workability) and water tightness can be achieved.

The inner diameter of the minimum diameter portion of the union nut and the inner diameter of the minimum diameter portion of the joint body may be set so that the flexible angle of the joining pipe is 3.5 ° or less. In such a case, each inner diameter may have a difference of less than 2 mm from the outer diameter of the bonded tube. In this way, an unexpected external force is applied to the pipe joint by limiting the flexible angle of the pipe inside the pipe joint to a predetermined value or less, or by making the difference between each inner diameter and the outer diameter of the pipe less than 2 mm. Even so, since the minimum diameter part of the union nut and the minimum diameter part of the joint body support the external force, the deformation (offset) of the packing can be suppressed to further improve the watertightness. In addition, excessive deformation (loosening) of the rubber packing due to the flexibility of the tube is prevented, and water leakage due to the flexibility of the tube can also be prevented. In such a case, the inner diameter of the minimum diameter portion of the union nut and the inner diameter of the minimum diameter portion of the joint body may be the same inner diameter.

The difference between the inner diameter of the inner end and the outer diameter of the joining pipe may be 20% or more and 50% or less with respect to the difference between the outer diameter of the rubber packing and the outer diameter of the joining pipe. Within this numerical range, the rubber packing can be filled in the stepped portion and sufficiently compressed and deformed, and an increase in tightening torque can be suppressed, so that both workability and water tightness can be achieved.

In the rubber packing, it is preferable that the plurality of concavo-convex ridges are formed on a tapered surface facing the receiving portion. Thereby, compression deformation is possible with a smaller tightening torque, and water tightness is improved. Furthermore, a film-like lubricating member may be interposed between the rubber packing and the union nut. Thereby, since rubber packing and a union nut contact via a lubrication member, a frictional resistance becomes small and also tightening torque can be reduced.

The minimum diameter portion of the joint body may be formed in a tapered shape toward the center of the joint body. With this tapered shape, the pipe to be inserted does not get caught on the joint body, smooth insertion can be performed, and workability is further improved.

According to the feature of the union nut fitting according to the present invention, the workability is good and it is possible to ensure and maintain high water tightness even with a small tightening torque.

Next, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings as appropriate.
A union nut pipe joint 1 according to the present invention (hereinafter simply referred to as a “joint”) includes, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a joint body 2 into which a generally threadless joining pipe 10 is inserted, and a joint body. 2, a union nut 3 that is screwed and tightened to 2, and an annular rubber packing 4 that is interposed between the joint body 2 and the union nut 3. The union nut 3 is engaged with a C-ring shaped retaining ring 6 via a substantially semicircular arc-shaped locking bracket 5.

The joint body 2 generally includes a tapered receiving portion 21 and a male screw 22 engraved on the outer peripheral surface 20A. In the present embodiment, the joint body 2 has receiving portions 21A and 21B at both ends thereof. The male screw 22 is screwed with a female screw 32 engraved on the inner peripheral surface 30B of the union nut 3. On the center side of the joint main body of the male screw 22, a ring-shaped convex portion 23 protruding in the radial direction is provided. As shown in FIG. 6, the end portion (side surface) 33 a of the union nut 3 is brought into contact with the convex portion 23 to complete the screw tightening operation of the union nut 3. Thereby, the variation of the screwing | tightening tightening by an operator can be suppressed.

As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, on the inner side of the joint body 2, a step portion is provided between the minimum diameter portion 24 close to the joining pipe 10, and the minimum diameter portion 24 and the inner end 21 a of the receiving portion 21. 25. The step portion 25 receives the deformation of the rubber packing 4 due to the movement of the union nut 3 toward the joint body 2 side. Therefore, the compression deformation of the rubber packing 4 due to the tightening of the union nut 3 is mainly guided to the joint body 2 side and filled in the step portion 25. The minimum diameter portion 24 is formed in a tapered shape toward the center of the joint body. The taper portion 24a on the center side prevents the joint body 2 from being caught when the joining pipe 10 is inserted. In the present embodiment, the step portion 25 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape by cutting out the inner portion of the receiving portion 21.

H1=(d4−D0)/2 ・・・(1)
H2=(d2−D0)/2 ・・・(2)
Here, the difference (height of the step portion 25) H1 between the inner diameter d4 of the inner end portion 21a (step portion 25) and the tube outer diameter D0 is the difference H2 between the outer diameter d2 of the rubber packing 4 and the tube outer diameter D0. Is set to 20% or more and 50% or less (the following formulas (1) to (3)).
H1 = (d4-D0) / 2 (1)
H2 = (d2-D0) / 2 (2)
H2 × 0.2 ≦ H1 ≦ H2 × 0.5 (3)
If it is less than 20%, deformation of the rubber packing 4 cannot be sufficiently allowed and the tightening torque increases. On the other hand, if it exceeds 50%, the rubber packing 4 cannot be sufficiently compressed, and it becomes difficult to ensure water tightness. Thus, if it is in this numerical range, the union nut 3 can be smoothly screwed to the convex part 23 with a low tightening torque.

As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the union nut 3 is generally provided with a minimum diameter portion 31 close to the joining pipe 10, a cylindrical portion 33 in which an internal thread 32 is engraved on the inner peripheral surface 30 </ b> B, and an outermost portion. A tapered portion 34 that connects the small diameter portion 31 and the tubular portion 33 is formed. On the outer peripheral surface 30 </ b> A of the minimum diameter portion 31, an annular groove portion 35 that engages the locking metal fitting 5 is provided.

By the way, in the prior art shown in FIG. 9 (FIG. 2 of Japanese Patent No. 3774889), the inner diameter d5 ′ in the minimum diameter portion 24 ′ of the joint body 2 ′ is larger than the inner diameter d1 ′ in the minimum diameter portion 31 ′ of the union nut 3 ′. It is said. In the prior art shown in the figure, for example, when the nominal diameter is 75 mm, the difference between the inner diameter d1 ′ and the pipe outer diameter D0 ′ is set to 2.4 mm, and the difference between the inner diameter d5 ′ and the pipe outer diameter D0 ′ is set to 3.8 mm. Is done. For example, when the nominal diameter is 100 mm, the difference between the inner diameter d1 'and the pipe outer diameter D0' is set to 2.5 mm, and the difference between the inner diameter d5 'and the pipe outer diameter D0' is set to 3.5 mm. The difference between the inner diameter and the tube outer diameter is 2 mm or more. As a result, the deformation of the packing 4 ′ due to the tightening of the union nut 3 ′ is guided to the joint body 2, and the space S between the joint body 2 and the joining pipe 10 is filled to tighten with a low tightening torque. Applicable. Since the packing 4 ′ filled in the space S is pressed toward the union nut 3 ′ by internal pressure, water tightness is ensured. Further, by reducing the inner diameter d1 'of the union nut 3', it is possible to prevent the packing 4 'from flowing out (protruding).

However, in such a structure, since the inner diameter d5 ′ is increased due to the space S, the minimum diameter portion 24 ′ is separated from the joining pipe 10, and the joining pipe 10 is inserted shallowly into the joint body 2 ′. Is particularly easy to be flexible, as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. Since the packing 4 ′ is configured to be easily deformed as described above, if the union nut 3 ′ is not sufficiently tightened, the packing 4 ′ is deformed and loosened by the large flexibility of the pipe, It is difficult to ensure and maintain watertightness.

Therefore, if the inner diameter d1 ′ of the union nut 3 ′ and the inner diameter d5 ′ of the joint body 2 are set to be approximately the same and spaces are formed between the joint pipe 10 and the packing 4 ′ by tightening the union nut 3 ′. This deformation is induced to the rear of the union nut 3 ′ (the retaining ring 6 side), and is filled in the space between the union nut 3 ′ and the joining pipe 10. Therefore, the packing 4 'protrudes outside the union nut 3' and the watertightness is lowered. In particular, when a later-described lubricating member 43 is interposed, the coefficient of friction with the union nut 3 ′ is small, so that the deformation of the packing 4 ′ proceeds to be pushed out by tightening the union nut 3 ′. May decrease. In addition, when tightened excessively, the packing 4 ′ is brought into close contact with the joining pipe 10, and the packing 4 ′ is moved in conjunction with the expansion and contraction of the pipe, resulting in water leakage.

On the other hand, if the space between the joint body 2 and the union nut 3 ′ and the joining pipe 10 is made small, it is possible to prevent a decrease in watertightness due to the outflow of the packing 4 ′, but the filling space of the packing 4 ′ is reduced. The packing 4 'is filled immediately, and the tightening torque increases dramatically. Therefore, like the present invention, the union nut 3 cannot be screwed until it abuts against the convex portion 23. In addition, in order to ensure water tightness of 4 MPa or more, due to the outer diameter tolerance of the pipe, when the pipe has a large diameter, for example, a pipe having a nominal diameter of 100 mm and a tightening torque of 150 Nm or more and tightening with a pipe having a nominal diameter of 75 mm The torque becomes 100 Nm or more, and a large tightening force is required. On the other hand, when the pipe has a small diameter, tightening is insufficient. Thus, in the prior art, it was impossible to complete the operation by tightening to a certain value.

Therefore, in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, unlike the prior art shown in FIG. 9, a step portion 25 is provided between the inner end portion 21 a of the receiving portion 21 and the minimum diameter portion 24. Yes. In the prior art shown in FIG. 9, the step portion 25 does not exist. By this step portion 25, deformation of the rubber packing 4 due to the tightening of the union nut 3 is guided to the joint body 2 side, and the rubber packing 4 is filled. Therefore, the union nut 3 can be tightened even with a low tightening torque. Can be smoothly screwed to the convex portion 23, and a predetermined tightening distance can be defined and managed. Moreover, even if there is a tolerance of the joining pipe 10, it can be screwed by the step portion 25 with a low tightening torque, and construction can be performed without using an expensive and long pipe wrench torque wrench.

H3=(d5−D0)/2 ・・・(4)
H4=(d1−D0)/2 ・・・(5)
Furthermore, in the present invention, the difference between the inner diameter d5 in the minimum diameter portion 24 of the joint body 2 and the inner diameter d1 in the minimum diameter portion 31 of the union nut 3 and the pipe outer diameter D0 is set to be less than 2 mm. As shown in FIG. 4, if the central axis of the joint pipe 10 and the central axis of the pipe joint 1 are aligned and arranged, the gaps between the minimum diameter portions 24 and 31 and the joint pipe 10 are as follows. It can be expressed by a formula.
H3 = (d5-D0) / 2 (4)
H4 = (d1-D0) / 2 (5)
For example, when the nominal diameter is 75 mm, the difference between the inner diameter d1 and the pipe outer diameter D0 and the difference between the inner diameter d5 of the smallest diameter portion 24 of the joint body 2 and the pipe outer diameter D0 are set to 1.7 mm, for example, and the nominal diameter is 100 mm. Then, for example, it is set to 1.9 mm. In either case, the difference between the inner diameter and the outer diameter of the tube is less than 2 mm.

Thus, as shown in FIG. 8, when the tube is flexible, the tube 10 contacts the minimum diameter portion 24 of the joint body 2 or the minimum diameter portion 31 of the union nut 3 and is not further flexible. Thus, since the flexible angle of the tube is limited to 3.5 ° or less (preferably 3.0 ° or less), water leakage due to excessive flexibility can be prevented. Moreover, even if the difference between each of the inner diameters d5 and d1 and the tube outer diameter D0 is less than 2 mm, the filling margin is ensured by the above-described step portion 25, so that the compression deformation of the rubber packing 4 is limited and tightened rapidly. The attached torque will not increase and tightening will not be disabled. Thus, according to the present invention, for example, it is possible to secure and maintain a water tightness of 4 MPa or more with a tightening torque of about 60 Nm with a tube having a nominal diameter of 100 mm and with a tightening torque of about 35 Nm with a tube having a nominal diameter of 75 mm. .

As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the rubber packing 4 has a plurality of annular ridges 41 and 42 formed on a tapered surface 40 </ b> B facing the inner peripheral surface 40 </ b> A and the receiving portion 21. In the present embodiment, a lubricating member 43 such as a film made of, for example, a fluororesin is interposed between the union nut 3 and the rubber packing 4 so that the diameter of the rubber packing 4 can be smoothly reduced. . The rubber hardness (JIS K 6353) of the rubber packing 4 is 45 to 75 ° (durometer hardness), for example, and 55 ° is used in this embodiment, for example. Such a rubber packing 4 is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Application No. 2002-30324 filed by the present applicant.

Here, the inner diameter d3 of the rubber packing 4 indicates the inner diameter of the convex strip 42 of the inner peripheral surface 40A in a state before tightening the nut attached to the inside of the union nut 3, as shown in FIG. The inner diameter d3 is larger than the inner diameter d5 of the minimum diameter portion 24 of the joint body 2 and the inner diameter d1 of the minimum diameter portion 31 of the union nut 3. For example, when the nominal diameter is 75 mm, the difference between the inner diameter d3 and the outer diameter of the pipe is set to 2.2 mm, and when the nominal diameter is 100 mm, it is set to 2.4 mm, for example. This difference is larger than the difference between the inner diameters d1 and d5 and the tube outer diameter D0. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the rubber packing 4 is located between the minimum diameter portion 24 of the joint body 2 and the minimum diameter portion 31 of the union nut 3, so that the inner diameter d3 of the rubber packing 4 is the minimum diameter portion. By making it larger than the inner diameters d5 and d1 of 24 and 31, the rubber packing 4 is not in contact with the tube 10 when the tube 10 is inserted. And since each minimum diameter part 24 and 31 contact | abuts with the pipe | tube 10, even if the weight of joint itself becomes large, the rubber packing 4 does not contact the pipe | tube 10. FIG. Therefore, the joint 1 can be smoothly moved when the pipe 10 is inserted.

Further, as shown in FIG. 7, even if an unexpected external force F is applied to the joint 1, the minimum diameter portion 24 of the joint body 2 and the minimum diameter portion 31 of the union nut 3 abut against the pipe 10, and the external force F is applied. Take (support). Therefore, the rubber packing 4 is not excessively deformed, and a gap is not formed between the pipe lower portion of the rubber packing 4 and the joining pipe 10, and water does not leak.

On the other hand, as described above, in the prior art shown in FIG. 9, the inner diameter d3 ′ of the packing 4 ′ is equal to the inner diameter d5 ′ of the minimum diameter portion 24 ′ of the joint body 2 ′ and the minimum diameter portion 31 ′ of the union nut 3 ′. It is smaller than the inner diameter d1 ′. In the example of the prior art shown in the figure, when the nominal diameter is 75 mm, the difference between the inner diameter d3 'and the pipe outer diameter D0' is set to 1.0 mm, and for a nominal diameter of 100 mm, it is set to 1.4 mm, for example. This difference is smaller than any of the difference between the inner diameter d1 'and the pipe outer diameter D0' and the difference between the inner diameter d5 'and the pipe outer diameter D0'. Moreover, the packing 4 'can be easily deformed. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 10, the packing 4 ′ is easily deformed by the weight of the pipe joint 1 ′ and pressed against the pipe 10, resulting in resistance to movement of the pipe joint 1 ′ and workability being reduced. Further, the deformation of the packing 4 ′ causes the center of the pipe 10 and the pipe joint 1 ′ to shift, and the pipe 10 abuts against the packing 4 ′ of the other receiving portion 21 ′ b, thereby preventing smooth insertion. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 11, when an unexpected external force F is applied to the pipe joint 1 ′, the pipe upper part of the packing 4 ′ is greatly deformed, and the compression of the pipe lower part of the packing 4 ′ is loosened, resulting in water tightness. There is also a risk of decline.

The locking metal fitting 5 includes a main body 51 having a substantially semicircular arc shape and a pair of arms 52 that protrude from the vicinity of the end of the main body 51 along the tube axis direction and have a hook 53 at the end. The retaining ring 6 fastens a C-ring-shaped ring body 61, a plurality of anti-slip teeth 62 engraved on the inner peripheral surface, a flange 63 provided at a circumferential end of the ring body 61, and the flange 63 Fastening means 64 is provided. The fastening means 64 includes, for example, a bolt 64a, a nut 64b, and a washer 64c. The ring body 61 is provided with a pair of locking ears 65 for locking the hooks 53. The retaining metal 5 and the retaining ring 6 prevent the pipe from being detached from the joint body 2. Such a tube detachment preventing device is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Application No. 2004-46329 filed by the present applicant.

Finally, reference is made to the possibilities of other embodiments of the invention. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the member similar to the above-mentioned embodiment.
In the said embodiment, the coupling main body 2 which has the receiving part 21A, 21B at both ends was demonstrated. However, the same applies to a joint having the receiving portion 21 only on one side.

。   In the above embodiment, the rubber packing 4 in which a plurality of concave and convex strips 41 and 42 are formed on the entire surface of the tapered surface 40B facing the receiving portion 21 of the joint body 2 and the inner peripheral surface 40A facing the joining tube 10 is used. A film-like lubricating member 43 was interposed between the packing 4 and the union nut 3. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, rubber packing in which a plurality of concave and convex strips 41 and 42 are formed only on the inner peripheral surface 40A may be used. However, the above embodiment is excellent in that water tightness can be secured with a lower tightening torque. Further, the lubricating member 43 can be omitted, and instead of this, for example, a lubricant may be applied. Further, the lubricating member 43 may be a member obtained by, for example, thinly and annularly molding a fluorine resin or a polyethylene resin. .

In the said embodiment, although the nominal diameter of the joining pipe was demonstrated to 100 mm and 75 mm as an example, it is only an example to the last and is not restricted to these. Each of the above dimensions is also an example. For example, when the nominal diameter is 40 to 100 mm, the difference between the inner diameter d1 of the smallest diameter portion 31 of the union nut 3 and the pipe outer diameter D0, and the inner diameter d5 of the smallest diameter portion 24 of the joint body 2 and the outer diameter D0 of the pipe. The difference is less than 2 mm. Moreover, the inner diameter d3 of the rubber packing 3 is set larger than the inner diameters d1 and d5 of the minimum diameter portions.
