Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical fiber cable in which an optical fiber core wire is covered with a jacket.
FTTH(Fiber To The Home)サービスが普及している。 The FTTH (Fiber To The Home) service, which provides a high-speed communication service by directly connecting a telecommunications carrier and a subscriber's home with an optical fiber, has become widespread. The optical fiber cable generally has a structure in which an optical fiber core and a tensile body are covered with a jacket made of a thermoplastic resin.
When drawing an optical fiber cable connected to a telecommunications carrier and routed to the vicinity of the subscriber's house to the subscriber's house, the outer cover is partially removed by cutting the outer cover at the intermediate portion of the optical fiber cable, An intermediate post-branching operation for taking out the optical fiber core wire is required. The optical fiber core taken out from the optical fiber cable is connected to the drop cable, and the drop cable is drawn into the subscriber's house. This type of optical fiber cable and intermediate post-branch are described in Patent Documents 1 and 2, for example.
When the optical fiber core wire is taken out from the optical fiber cable, if the optical fiber core wire is bent greatly, the optical transmission loss is increased. Therefore, at the time of intermediate post branching, it is necessary to take out the optical fiber core wire without bending it as much as possible.
In the optical fiber cable described in Patent Document 1, a pair of synthetic resin-made release tapes that are in contact with the optical fiber core wire are disposed in the jacket so as to sandwich the optical fiber core wire. This facilitates removal of the optical fiber core from the optical fiber cable, and reduces an increase in transmission loss due to bending applied to the optical fiber core.
However, since the optical fiber cable described in Patent Document 1 has a portion in which the optical fiber core wire is in direct contact with the outer sheath, the optical fiber cable is manufactured in a state where the optical fiber core wire is bitten into the outer sheath. There is a case. If the optical fiber core bites into the jacket, the optical fiber core wire may be bent in order to remove the optical fiber core bit from the jacket during the intermediate rear branch. Therefore, the transmission loss is increased.
In the optical fiber cable described in Patent Document 2, the optical fiber core wire is sandwiched between a pair of tensile members, and the entire optical fiber core wire and the tensile member are sandwiched between a pair of intervening tapes similar to the peeling tape of Patent Document 1, These are entirely covered with a jacket. The optical fiber core is housed in a space surrounded by a pair of strength members and a pair of intervening tapes. This eliminates the direct contact of the jacket with the optical fiber core, and facilitates the removal of the optical fiber core from the optical fiber cable.
However, the optical fiber cable described in Patent Document 2 has a configuration in which a strength member having a circular cross section is sandwiched between a pair of intervening tapes. Therefore, the tensile body and the intervening tape are in a line contact state extending in the longitudinal direction. During the extrusion coating of the optical fiber core wire, the strength member, and the intervening tape with the jacket material, a considerable pressure is applied to the strength member and the interposition tape. As a result, there is a high possibility that the material of the jacket enters the space for housing the optical fiber core wire between the strength member and the interposed tape.
If the jacket material enters the space and comes into contact with the optical fiber core, it becomes difficult to take out the optical fiber core from the optical fiber cable, which increases transmission loss.
Therefore, it is possible to reduce the possibility that the material of the jacket comes into contact with the optical fiber core wire, and further than the optical fiber cable described in Patent Documents 1 and 2, the optical fiber from the optical fiber cable at the time of intermediate rear branching. There has been a demand for an optical fiber cable that can easily take out the core wire and reduce the bending applied to the optical fiber core wire.
In order to meet such a demand, the present invention can reduce the possibility that the material of the jacket comes into contact with the optical fiber core wire as compared with the prior art. An object of the present invention is to provide an optical fiber cable that can be easily taken out and that can reduce bending applied to the optical fiber core.
In order to solve the above-described problems of the prior art, the present invention is formed of an optical fiber core and a material having a first melting point, and covers the optical fiber core, and the first melting point. A pair of materials having a second melting point higher than that of the optical fiber, and disposed so as to sandwich the optical fiber core wire from the first direction in the outer cover without being thermally fused to the outer cover. A separator, and a pair of strength member covering bodies arranged in such a manner as to sandwich the optical fiber core wire from the second direction intersecting the first direction and covering the strength body with a covering. The tensile body covering body is sandwiched between the pair of separators in a state in which a side facing the pair of separators is in contact with the pair of separators when the tensile body covering body is viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. It is characterized by being To provide a fiber cable.
In the above configuration, the pair of separators and the pair of strength member covering bodies cooperate to form a storage space for storing the optical fiber core so that the jacket does not contact the optical fiber core. It is preferable that it is comprised.

At this time, it is more preferable that the notch is formed within the range of the width of the strength member covering.

According to the optical fiber cable of the present invention, it is possible to reduce the possibility that the material of the jacket comes into contact with the optical fiber core wire as compared with the prior art, and the optical fiber core wire is easier than the optical fiber cable at the time of intermediate post branching. The bending applied to the optical fiber core wire can be reduced. Therefore, according to the optical fiber cable of the present invention, an increase in transmission loss can be suppressed.
Hereinafter, the optical fiber cable of each embodiment will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In each embodiment, substantially the same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals.
<First Embodiment>
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the
The optical
The
The

As for the
In the first embodiment, the optical
The tape core wire constituting the optical

As shown in FIG. 1, the tensile strength covering 28 is also sandwiched between a pair of
The
The

The tensile strength covering 28 is preferably a material that is heat-sealed with the

As shown in FIG. 1, the cross-sectional shape of the optical
As shown in FIG. 2, it is preferable to form the
In FIG. 2, only one

In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, the

Therefore, even if pressure is applied to the
FIG. 3 schematically shows a

In the state shown in FIG. 3, by pulling the optical
FIG. 4 shows a state in which the optical
In the present embodiment, since the
Since the
The optical
Since the optical
