Abstract

Claims (12)
- ハニカムコア(208)の側壁(216)を選択的に切断するために用いられる自動装置(200)であって、
エンドエフェクタ(206)と、
前記エンドエフェクタ(206)に接続された切断ツール(202)と、を含み、前記エンドエフェクタ(206)は、前記ハニカムコア(208)の概略的ジオメトリ(228)に基づいて、前記切断ツール(202)を初期切断位置(230)に配置するように構成されており、
前記エンドエフェクタ(206)に前記初期切断位置(230)を変更することを指示するように構成された適応ビジョンシステム(224)を更に含み、当該指示は、前記適応ビジョンシステム(224)によって取得される前記ハニカムコア(208)の実際のジオメトリに基づいて行われる、自動装置(200)。 - 前記エンドエフェクタ(206)は、前記ハニカムコア(208)に対する所定のツールパス(226)に沿って、前記切断ツール(202)を移動させるように構成されており、前記所定のツールパス(226)は、複数の初期切断位置(230)を含む、請求項1に記載の自動装置(200)。
- 前記適応ビジョンシステム(224)は、更に
前記ハニカムコア(208)の前記概略的ジオメトリ(228)と、前記実際のジオメトリとの間のコアセル・オフセットを決定し、
少なくとも部分的に前記コアセル・オフセットに基づいて、前記切断ツール(202)の前記初期切断位置(230)を変更するように構成され、前記初期切断位置(230)は、前記切断ツール(202)を最終切断位置(232)に配置するために変更される、請求項1に記載の自動装置。 - 前記切断ツール(202)は、
前記ハニカムコア(208)の少なくとも1つのコアセル(210)に隙間嵌めで挿入されるようにサイズが決定されているガイド部(212)と、
前記ガイド部(212)に摺動可能に関連づけられたカッター(220)と、を含み、前記ガイド部(212)は、前記ハニカムコア(208)の外面(222)に対して略法線方向に前記カッター(220)を誘導するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の自動装置(200)。 - 前記適応ビジョンシステム(224)は、前記少なくとも1つのコアセル(210)に対して、前記ガイド部(212)を略整列させるように構成されている、請求項4に記載の自動装置(200)。
- 前記ガイド部(212)は、前記少なくとも1つのコアセル(210)と略相補的な断面形状を有する、請求項4に記載の自動装置(200)。
- 前記エンドエフェクタ(206)は、その中心軸(234)を中心として回転可能であり、当該回転により、ガイド部(212)を前記少なくとも1つのコアセル(210)に対して略整列させる、請求項4に記載の自動装置(210)。
- ハニカムコア(208)の側壁(216)を選択的に切断する方法であって、前記側壁(216)は、切断ツール(202)と、適応ビジョンシステム(224)とを含む自動装置(200)を用いて選択的に切断され、
前記ハニカムコア(208)の概略的ジオメトリ(228)に基づいて、前記切断ツール(202)を初期切断位置(230)に配置することと、
前記適応ビジョンシステム(224)を用いて、前記ハニカムコア(208)の実際のジオメトリを取得することと、
前記適応ビジョンシステム(224)によって取得された前記ハニカムコア(208)の前記実際のジオメトリに基づいて、前記切断ツール(202)の前記初期切断位置(230)を変更することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記ハニカムコア(208)の前記概略的ジオメトリ(228)と、前記実際のジオメトリとの間のコアセル・オフセットを決定することと、
少なくとも部分的に前記コアセル・オフセットに基づいて、前記初期切断位置(230)を変更し、前記切断ツール(202)を最終切断位置(232)に配置することと、を更に含む、請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記ハニカムコア(208)の少なくとも1つのコアセル(210)に、前記切断ツール(202)のガイド部(212)を、隙間嵌めで挿入することと、
前記ガイド部(212)のカッタースロット(218)内でカッター(220)を並進移動させて、前記側壁(216)を選択的に切断することと、を更に含む、請求項8に記載の方法。 - ガイド部(212)を挿入することは、前記適応ビジョンシステム(224)を用いて、前記少なくとも1つのコアセル(210)に対して、前記ガイド部(212)を略整列させることを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- カッター(220)を並進移動させることは、前記ハニカムコア(208)の外面(222)に対して略法線方向に前記カッター(220)を並進移動させることを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
