Description

The present invention relates to a vehicular lamp.

Conventionally, in a vehicle lamp, various techniques for reflecting light from a light guide with a reflector in a predetermined direction have been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

Patent Document 1 discloses a vehicular lamp in which light from a light source is incident on a light guide and the incident light is emitted rearward from the rear surface portion of the light guide. In this vehicular lamp, a reflector including a first reflecting portion positioned on the rear side of the light guide and a second reflecting portion adjacent to the first reflecting portion is provided, and the rear surface portion of the light guide is moved to the rear side. The emitted light is reflected by the first reflecting portion toward the second reflecting portion, and the reflected light from the first reflecting portion is reflected by the second reflecting portion toward the front of the lamp.

By the way, in recent years, further improvement in appearance quality and functionality of vehicles is demanded, and further improvements in appearance and visibility are demanded also in vehicle lamps including a light guide and a reflector.

However, in the vehicular lamp disclosed in Patent Document 1, when viewed from the front side of the lamp, the vicinity of the light guide is brighter than other parts, and thus there is a problem that a difference in brightness is likely to occur. It is difficult to respond to requests.

As shown in FIG. 4, the reflector 30 reflects the light from the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 to the vehicle front side in a predetermined light distribution pattern.
The reflector 30 includes a first reflector portion 31 that reflects light emitted from the first light guide member 51 toward the vehicle front side, and a second reflector that reflects light emitted from the second light guide member 52 toward the vehicle front side. Part 32.
More specifically, the first reflector portion 31 is provided closer to the vehicle center than the second reflector portion 32, and the second reflector portion 32 is in contact with the first reflector portion 31 at the boundary portion 33 on the vehicle center side. Is provided.
In the following description, the boundary portion 33 may be described as a contact portion.

FIG. 5A is an enlarged view of a portion B in FIG. That is, it is an enlarged view of a part of a portion where the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are in contact with each other.
In the present embodiment, the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are integrally formed.
However, the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 need not be limited to being integrally formed, and the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are formed separately and are in contact with each other. The configuration may be such that the parts are connected together.

As shown in FIG. 5A, the portions where the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are in contact with each other are formed such that the mountain portions 31a and 32a are in contact with each other, and the valley portions 31b and 32b are in contact with each other. The mountain portions 31a and 32a and the valley portions 31b and 32b are formed in a stepped shape that gradually increases toward the vehicle rear side.
Further, as shown in FIG. 9, the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are inclined so that a portion (boundary portion) 33 where the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are in contact with each other is high. It is formed to do.

Here, the shape of a portion (boundary portion) 33 where the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are in contact with each other will be described.
For example, as shown in FIG. 5 (b), the boundary portion 33 can be simply shaped so that the first reflector portion 31A and the second reflector portion 32A are in contact with each other at the wall-shaped mating portion 33A. It is.
However, it is difficult to form the wall-shaped mating portion 33A so as to be a reflecting surface that reflects light to the front side of the vehicle to the same extent as the other reflector portions. It turned out that a linear dark part tends to arise along the part 33A.

Therefore, instead of trying to make the wall-shaped mating portion 33A a reflection surface shape that reflects the same amount of light as other reflector portions, the idea is changed, and such a linear dark portion is In order not to occur, a shape in which the wall-shaped mating portion 33A is cut out, that is, a shape having a plurality of cutout portions 33c along the boundary portion 33, such as the boundary portion 33 shown in FIG. did.
More specifically, a dotted line 33d in FIGS. 5A and 7 indicates a position corresponding to the upper side of the wall-shaped mating portion 33A shown in FIG. 5B, and FIG. 5A and FIG. As shown in FIG. 5, the notch 33c is shaped like a wall-shaped mating portion 33A cut out from the upper side.
As described above, by forming the notch 33c in the wall-shaped mating portion 33A that is a linear dark portion described with reference to FIG. 5B, the wall shape that is the cause of the linear dark portion is formed. The mating part 33A is eliminated.
As a result, the linear dark part disappeared, and the part (boundary part) 33 in contact with the first reflector part 31 and the second reflector part 32 could be seen in the same manner as the other reflector parts.

(Configuration of the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52)
Next, the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 will be described based on FIGS. 1, 4, 6 to 11, and FIG. 13.

As shown in FIG. 6, the first light guide member 51 is disposed above the outer periphery 35 on the vehicle center side of the reflector 30, for example, the hood 17 (see FIG. 1) or the fender panel 18 (FIG. 1) at the front of the vehicle. The vehicle extends substantially along the vehicle longitudinal direction.
As shown in FIG. 4, the first light guide member 51 is hidden by the edge 21 of the inner panel 20 on the vehicle center side when the outer lens 13 (not shown) and the inner lens 40 are viewed from the front side of the vehicle. In the position.

More precisely, the first light guide member 51 is not completely prevented from being seen from the front side of the vehicle by the edge portion 21, and the edge portion 21 is as difficult to be seen from the front side of the vehicle as possible. It is in a state that almost covers the whole.
For this reason, a part of the first light guide member 51 is in a position where it can be seen from the front side of the vehicle.
However, since the first light guide member 51 mainly emits light to the first reflector portion 31 side, the first light guide member 51 does not actively irradiate the front side of the vehicle. When viewed from the front side of the vehicle, it does not appear to shine so much, so a part not covered by the edge portion 21 of the first light guide member 51 is not visible from the front side of the vehicle, but from the front side of the vehicle. The condition is almost unrecognizable when viewed.

As shown in FIG. 1, the vehicular lamp 10 of the present embodiment shows a case in which the vehicular lamp 10 is arranged so as to face the upper side of the vehicle as a whole. Therefore, the first light guide member 51 is located above the reflector 30. Although it is arranged, depending on the required specifications, it may be arranged obliquely in the horizontal direction. In this case, the first light guide member 51 is arranged obliquely with respect to the reflector 30. Become.
Therefore, generally, the arrangement of the first light guide member 51 with respect to the reflector 30 is arranged at a position facing the reflector 30.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6, the second light guide member 52 is disposed above the outer periphery 36 on the vehicle outer side of the reflector 30 and extends in an oblique direction with respect to the vehicle longitudinal direction. For example, the second light guide member 52 extends obliquely with respect to the vehicle front-rear direction along the hood 17 (see FIG. 1) and the fender panel 18 (see FIG. 1) at the front of the vehicle.
As shown in FIG. 4, the second light guide member 52 is also hidden by the edge 22 of the inner panel 20 outside the vehicle when the outer lens 13 (not shown) and the inner lens 40 are viewed from the vehicle front side. In the position.
Thereby, the 2nd light guide member 52 is arrange | positioned so that it cannot visually recognize from the vehicle front side.

However, as described for the first light guide member 51, the second light guide member 52 also emits light mainly to the second reflector portion 32 side. Therefore, the second light guide member 52 must be disposed at a position hidden behind the edge portion 22 so as not to be completely visible from the front side of the vehicle. Do not mean.
Note that the second light guide member 52 is also disposed above the reflector 30 in the present embodiment as described in the first light guide member 51, but more generally, the second light guide member 52. Is arranged to face the reflector 30.

Further, the first light guide member 51 is configured so that the light from the first light guide member 51 is directed to the outer lens 13 (see FIG. 3) from the side of the vehicle (for example, a person standing on the front tire 19 (see FIG. 1) side). And it arrange | positions so that it can visually recognize through the inner lens 40 (refer FIG. 3).
For example, with the outer lens 13 and the inner lens 40 removed, the first light guide member 51 can visually recognize the front half when viewed from the horizontal direction as shown by the arrow D in FIG. 7), at least a part of the front side can be visually recognized even when viewed obliquely from below as in the direction of arrow E in FIG. 4 (see FIG. 8). And when the 1st light guide member 51 is seen from diagonally upward in the vehicle side view like the arrow F direction of FIG. 4, most parts of the 1st light guide member 51 can be visually recognized (refer FIG. 9).

Next, an example of the end shape of the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 and an arrangement example of the light sources 61 and 62 will be described.

As shown in FIG. 10A, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line G-G of FIG. 6, the first light guide member 51 includes a first front end 51a on the vehicle front side and a first rear end 51b on the vehicle rear side. Have.
The first front end portion 51a and the first rear end portion 51b are bent toward the back side of the reflector 30, and the bent first front end portion 51a and the first rear end portion 51b are respectively connected to the reflector 30. A first front hole 37a and a first rear hole 37b are provided for exiting to the back side.

Thereby, the 1st front end part 51a and the 1st back end part 51b are arranged in the back side of reflector 30 through the 1st front side hole 37a and the 1st back side hole 37b. A light source (for example, a light emitting diode) 61 that causes light to enter the first light guide member 51 is disposed on the back side of the reflector 30 so as to face the first front end 51a and the first rear end 51b.

Then, as shown in FIG. 10B, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line HH in FIG. 10A, the first light guide member 51 has a reflective surface along the longitudinal direction of the first light guide member 51. (Prism surface) 51 c is provided, and the reflection surface 51 c reflects light guided in the first light guide member 51 toward the first reflector portion 31 (see FIG. 4) side of the reflector 30.

More specifically, the light emitted from the light source 61 and incident on the first light guide member 51 is refracted by the reflecting surface 51c while being guided through the first light guide member 51, and the light exceeding the critical angle is sequentially The light is emitted to the first reflector portion 31 (see FIG. 4) side of the reflector 30.
And the light reflected by this reflective surface 51c and radiate | emitted to the 1st reflector part 31 side is radiate | emitted with a breadth of about +/- 20 degree | times on the up-down direction on the basis of the reflective surface 51c, for example.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 11, a part of the light emitted from the first light guide member 51 is irradiated to the vehicle front side by the first reflector part 31, and a part of the light is emitted from the first reflector part. At 31, the vehicle heads toward the vehicle side without being reflected (irradiated) toward the vehicle front side.
As described above, since the first light guide member 51 is visible from the side of the vehicle, the light from the first light guide member 51 toward the side of the vehicle is indicated by an arrow R in FIG. Therefore, the visibility from the side of the vehicle can be improved.

Further, as described above, the notch 33 c is formed along the boundary 33 at the portion (boundary) 33 where the first reflector 31 and the second reflector 32 are in contact with each other.
For this reason, in the case of the wall-shaped mating portion 33A shown in FIG. 5B, the direct light from the first light guide member 51 blocked by the wall-shaped mating portion 33A also passes through the notch 33c. Irradiated to the side of the vehicle.
Therefore, the visibility from the side of the vehicle can be further improved by forming the notch 33c.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 10C, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line JJ of FIG. 6, the second light guide member 52 includes a second front end 52 a on the vehicle center side and a second rear end 52 b on the vehicle outer side. Have
In this example, the second front end 52 a is bent toward the back side of the reflector 30, and the reflector 30 has a second front side hole 38 a for projecting the bent second front end 52 a to the back side of the reflector 30. Provided.

Thereby, the 2nd front end part 52a is arranged on the back side of reflector 30 through the 2nd front side hole 38a. A light source (for example, a light emitting diode) 62 that causes light to enter the second light guide member 52 is disposed on the back side of the reflector 30 so as to face the second front end portion 52a.

10C, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line KK of FIG. 10C, also in the second light guide member 52, the reflective surface along the longitudinal direction of the second light guide member 52 (see FIG. (Prism surface) 52c is provided, and the reflection surface 52c reflects the light guided in the second light guide member 52 to the second reflector portion 32 (see FIG. 4) side of the reflector 30.

More specifically, the light emitted from the light source 62 and incident on the second light guide member 52 is refracted by the reflection surface 52c while being guided through the second light guide member 52, and the light exceeding the critical angle is sequentially The light emitted to the second reflector portion 32 (see FIG. 4) side of the reflector 30 and emitted to the second reflector portion 32 (see FIG. 4) side is irradiated by the second reflector portion 32 toward the vehicle front side.

In the above example, the case where the light sources 61 are provided at both ends of the first front end portion 51a on the vehicle front side and the first rear end portion 51b on the vehicle rear side of the first light guide member 51 has been described. The light source 61 may be provided at at least one of the first front end 51a and the first rear end 51b.
Similarly, in the above example, the case where the light source 62 is provided at the second front end portion of the second light guide member 52 has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this example, and the second rear end of the second light guide member 52 is provided. The light source 62 may be provided in the part 52b, or the light source 62 may be provided at both ends of the second front end and the second rear end.

However, if a light source is provided at a position that is easily visible when viewed from the front of the vehicle, a structure that hides the light source may be required. In such a case, the vicinity of the hidden light source becomes dim and the appearance is poor. For this reason, it is preferable not to provide a light source at a position that is easily visible when viewed from the front side of the vehicle (in this example, the second rear end portion 52b).

(Effect of embodiment)
The operational effects of the vehicle lamp 10 described above will be described.
According to the present embodiment, most of the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 are hidden by the edges 21 and 22 of the inner panel 20 so that they are difficult to see from the front side of the vehicle. Since it is arranged in a proper state, it looks better when viewed from the front side of the vehicle.

The light emitted from the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 is emitted to the reflector 30 (the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32) side, and the first light guide. Since direct light from the member 51 and the second light guide member 52 is not so directed toward the vehicle front side, a part of the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 is the edge portion 21 of the inner panel 20. , 22, the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 are hardly visible from the front side of the vehicle.

Further, when viewed from the front side of the vehicle, the entire inner lens 40 is reflected by the light (FIG. 11, arrow P) reflected by the reflector 30 (the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32) and irradiated to the front side of the vehicle. Are viewed as if they were uniformly surface-emitting (see FIG. 12).
In FIG. 11, the light from the first light guide member 51 is illustrated, and the light from the second light guide member 52 is not illustrated.
Therefore, the inner lens 40 does not cause light and darkness, and the appearance does not deteriorate. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a signal light and an illumination light that have no difference in light and dark when viewed from the front side of the vehicle.

Further, when the reflector is configured by the first reflector portion and the second reflector portion, as described with reference to FIG. 5B, the portion where the first reflector portion 31A and the second reflector portion 32A are in contact ( A linear dark portion tends to occur along the (wall-shaped mating portion) 33A.
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5A, by providing a notch 33c along a portion (boundary portion) 33 where the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are in contact with each other, this linear dark portion is reduced. It did not occur.

In the case where a linear dark portion is generated, when the width W (see FIG. 12) of the corner portion 40a of the inner lens 40 is increased, the linear dark portion becomes longer and easily visible. By forming the notch 33c along the part (boundary part) 33 where the first reflector part 31 and the second reflector part 32 are in contact with each other so that a dark part of the shape does not occur, the corner part 40a of the inner lens 40 is formed. Even when the width W (see FIG. 12) is large, since a linear dark portion that can be visually recognized does not appear in the inner lens 40, better surface emission can be obtained.

Further, as shown in FIG. 7, the portion (boundary portion) 33 where the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are in contact is from the vehicle rear side (right side in FIG. 7) to the vehicle front side (left side in FIG. 7). ) Toward the vehicle side, the proportion of direct light from the first light guide member 51 that is irradiated to the vehicle side without being blocked by the reflector 30 is increased. Visibility from the side can be obtained.

In addition, as shown in FIG. 7, the reflector 30 has a cutout portion 33 c in which a portion (boundary portion) 33 where the first reflector portion 31 and the second reflector portion 32 are in contact with each other is cut out. Therefore, the direct light from the first light guide member 51 is further irradiated to the side of the vehicle through the notch 33c, so that higher visibility from the side of the vehicle can be obtained. ing. Such a vehicular lamp 10 is particularly effective for a signal lamp or an illumination lamp such as a clearance lamp that is desired to be visible from the side of the vehicle.

In the present embodiment, the first front end portion 51 a and the first rear end portion 51 b of the first light guide member 51 are placed on the back side of the reflector 30 through the first front hole 37 a and the first rear hole 37 b provided in the reflector 30. The light source 61 is provided at the first front end 51a and the first rear end 51b. Further, the second front end portion 52a of the second light guide member 52 is disposed on the back side of the reflector 30 through the second front side hole 38a provided in the reflector 30, and the light source 62 is provided on the second front end portion 52a. By configuring the first light guide member 51, the second light guide member 52, and the light sources 61 and 62 in this manner, the light sources 61 and 62 are disposed on the back side of the reflector 30, so that the light source and the light source are provided. When the board | substrate etc. look at the vehicle lamp 10, it becomes difficult to visually recognize and becomes the vehicle lamp 10 with good appearance.

In addition, even if the first reflector portion and the second reflector portion are not reflective surfaces having a peak portion and a valley portion, respectively, as in the present embodiment, the first reflector portion and the second reflector portion are If there is a linear part (boundary part) in contact, it is considered that this part is likely to have a different light reflection state from other parts.
And if this linear part (boundary part) is made into the shape which notched, the light reflected from the reflective surface of the 1st reflector part and 2nd reflector part adjacent to this linear part (boundary part) will be a line. It is presumed that it is difficult to produce a linear dark part because the inner lens part facing the boundary part is irradiated through the notch part without being obstructed by the part (boundary part).

Therefore, when the reflector has a portion (boundary portion) where the first reflector portion and the second reflector portion are in contact, a plurality of notches are provided along the contact portion (boundary portion). By doing so, it is considered that the effect of suppressing the linear dark portion appearing at the contacting portion (boundary portion) can be obtained.

Therefore, when using a reflector having a portion (boundary portion) where the first reflector portion and the second reflector portion are in contact, a plurality of notches are provided along the portion (boundary portion) where the first reflector portion and the second reflector portion are in contact. Providing the portion is considered to be a suitable configuration for obtaining a uniform surface emitting state of the inner lens.

Further, in the above embodiment, the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 are hardly seen from the front side of the vehicle at the edges 21 and 22 of the inner panel 20, and viewed from the front side of the vehicle. Although the case where the appearance of the inner panel 20 is improved has been shown, from the viewpoint of improving the appearance, the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide are necessarily used by using the edges 21 and 22 of the inner panel 20. It is not necessary to make the member 52 difficult to be seen from the front side of the vehicle, and the first light guide member 51 and the second light guide member 52 may be hard to be seen from the front side of the vehicle with another configuration.
Furthermore, in the said embodiment, although the case where the reflector 30 was a structure which consists of the 1st reflector part 31 and the 2nd reflector part 32 was shown, the reflector 30 is limited to what is comprised by two reflector parts. Instead, a configuration in which the reflector 30 includes only the first reflector portion 31 may be used as necessary.
