Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a solar cell, and more particularly to a dye-sensitized solar cell excellent in power generation efficiency and design.
Against the backdrop of environmental issues and resource issues, solar cells as clean energy are attracting attention. However, conventional silicon-based solar cells still have problems such as high manufacturing costs and insufficient raw material supply, and have not yet been widely spread. In addition, although compound solar cells such as CIS have excellent characteristics such as extremely high photoelectric conversion efficiency, problems such as cost and environmental load are obstacles to widespread use.
On the other hand, the dye-sensitized solar cell is a solar cell that is inexpensive and can obtain high photoelectric conversion efficiency. Therefore, the dye-sensitized solar cell is considered and expected to be applied to electronic devices that are strongly demanded for miniaturization and low power consumption. By using the dye-sensitized solar cell as a main power source or auxiliary power source for electronic devices, it is expected to eliminate the need for charging the electronic devices or lengthen the charging cycle. Since such an electronic device is for personal use, the design is an important factor. Accordingly, dye solar cells having various colors for these market needs have been developed. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a dye-sensitized solar cell having a predetermined coloring pattern by appropriately selecting the type of sensitizing dye, the thickness of titanium oxide, the particle size, and the like.
When configured as described above, various colored patterns can be expressed. However, in the above configuration, the contour portion that forms the pattern is formed of an electrolyte layer, and the electrolyte layer does not participate in power generation. Therefore, the dye-sensitized solar cell of Patent Document 1 has a problem of low power generation efficiency. In addition, if the contour portion is composed of an electrolyte layer, a clear contrast cannot be expressed between the electrolyte layer and the porous power generation layer, and the contour of the design formed on the porous power generation layer will be blurred, resulting in a low-design dye increase. There was also a problem of becoming a solar cell. The problem of blurred design was particularly noticeable when the backlight was not illuminated from the back side of the dye-sensitized solar cell during the daytime.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a dye-sensitized solar cell that is excellent in power generation efficiency and high in design.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is configured as follows.
Below, it demonstrates in detail based on embodiment concerning this invention.
The characteristic configuration of the dye-sensitized solar cell according to the present invention is:
A transparent conductive substrate, and a porous power generation layer having a geometric shape while generating a contrast between different portions of the transparent conductive substrate when viewed from the light receiving surface by being laminated in different portions of the transparent conductive substrate; A dye-sensitized solar cell comprising:
When the dye-sensitized solar cell is viewed from the light-receiving surface side, a contour portion of the geometric shape of the porous power generation layer is formed at the boundary between the different locations, and the reflectance of the porous power generation layer and the JIS Z A contour layer is disposed in the electrode cell that differs by more than 40% in the measuring method according to 8721-1993 and has a resistance value lower than the resistance of the transparent conductive substrate and transmits electrons generated from the porous power generation layer to the external electrode. It is in the point.
According to the above characteristic configuration, the contour layer is arranged at the boundary portion of the porous power generation layer that generates contrast between different portions of the transparent conductive substrate in the electrode cell. The contour layer forms a contour portion of the geometric shape of the porous power generation layer when viewed from the light receiving surface, and the reflectance is measured in accordance with JIS Z 8721-1993 when compared with the porous power generation layer. Differ by more than 40%. Therefore, when the light enters the light receiving surface, the contour of the porous power generation layer can be clearly expressed by the contour layer. Therefore, the present invention provides a dye-sensitized solar cell with high design that can clearly express the geometric shape of the porous power generation layer.
Furthermore, according to the above characteristic configuration, since the resistance value of the contour layer is lower than the resistance value of the transparent conductive substrate, electrons generated from the porous power generation layer can be efficiently transmitted to the external electrode. Therefore, it is a dye-sensitized solar cell with high power generation efficiency.
The characteristic configuration of the dye-sensitized solar cell according to the present invention is:
A transparent conductive substrate;
A plurality of porous power generation layers arranged at intervals on the conductive substrate;
A counter electrode disposed opposite to the porous power generation layer,
An electrolyte layer disposed between the porous power generation layer and the counter electrode;
The electrode cell includes a portion of the transparent conductive substrate where the porous power generation layer is not disposed and a contour layer disposed at a position facing the portion of the counter electrode where the porous power generation layer is not disposed. ,
When the dye-sensitized solar cell is viewed from the light-receiving surface side,
The porous power generation layer generates a contrast between different portions of the transparent conductive substrate while having a geometric shape,
The contour layer forms a contour of the geometric shape of the porous power generation layer, and the reflectance differs from the porous power generation layer by 40% or more in a measurement method according to JIS Z 8721-1993,
And,
The contour layer has a resistance value lower than that of the transparent conductive substrate and the counter electrode, and transmits electrons generated from the porous power generation layer to an external electrode and transmits electrons from the counter electrode to the electrolyte layer.
According to the said structure, an outline layer is arrange | positioned on a transparent conductive substrate. The contour layer disposed on the transparent conductive substrate is disposed at a location where the porous power generation layer of the transparent conductive substrate is not disposed. The place where the porous power generation layer is not disposed is the boundary portion of the porous power generation layer (the contour portion of the geometric shape formed by the porous power generation layer). Is a dye-sensitized solar cell with high designability that can clearly express the contour of the geometric shape of the porous power generation layer by arranging a contour layer that differs by 40% or more by a measurement method according to JIS Z 8721-1993 ing.
Furthermore, according to the above characteristic configuration, since the resistance value of the contour layer is lower than the resistance value of the transparent conductive substrate, electrons generated from the porous power generation layer can be efficiently transmitted to the external electrode. Therefore, it becomes a dye-sensitized solar cell with high power generation efficiency.
Furthermore, according to the above characteristic configuration, the contour layer is also disposed on the counter electrode. The contour layer disposed on the counter electrode is disposed at a position facing the contour layer disposed on the transparent conductive substrate. That is, the contour layer disposed on the counter electrode is disposed so as to follow the shape of the contour layer disposed on the transparent conductive substrate with respect to the thickness direction of the dye-sensitized solar cell. Therefore, when the dye-sensitized solar cell is observed from the light receiving surface, the contour layer disposed on the counter electrode is not observed overlapping with the contour layer disposed on the transparent conductive substrate. Therefore, the geometric shape formed by the porous power generation layer is not hindered by the contour layer disposed on the counter electrode, and the shape of the porous power generation layer and contour layer disposed on the transparent conductive substrate can be expressed as they are. It is a highly dye-sensitized solar cell.
The resistance value of the contour layer arranged on the counter electrode is configured to be lower than the resistance value of the counter electrode. Therefore, electrons can be efficiently transmitted from the counter electrode to the electrolyte layer.
Therefore, by disposing the contour layer on the counter electrode as described above, the dye-sensitized solar cell with higher power generation efficiency is obtained while retaining the dye-sensitized solar cell with high design.

1. Hereinafter, the dye-sensitized solar cell according to the present invention will be described.
The dye-sensitized solar cell according to the present invention is used for lighting devices such as garden lights and street lights. In the present embodiment, a dye-sensitized solar cell mounted on an off-grid lighting device as a kind of lighting device will be described as an example. In the following description, the side on which the surface (light receiving surface described later) that receives light from the outside of the dye-sensitized solar cell is located is referred to as “light receiving surface side”. On the contrary, the back side when viewed from the user is referred to as a “back side”.
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The shape and size of the
The
In the present embodiment, as described above, when the dye-sensitized solar cell 1 is irradiated with light from the
2. Dye-sensitized solar cell As shown in FIG. 3, the dye-sensitized solar cell 1 includes a cell electrode 1 a, a
As shown in FIG. 3, although the shape of the cell electrode 1a is not specifically limited, In this embodiment, the cell electrode 1a has a rectangular shape. The cell electrode 1a has a geometric pattern. In this embodiment, it has the geometric pattern in the
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a
Examples of the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
In addition, as shown in FIG. 4, a part of the

By configuring the dye-sensitized solar cell 1 in this way, electricity generated in the cell electrode 1a is taken out to the outside through the
3. Cell Electrode As shown in FIG. 5, the cell electrode 1 a has a negative electrode 2, a

The transparent
As the inorganic material, an inorganic oxide such as fluorine-doped tin oxide, indium tin oxide, gallium-doped zinc oxide, aluminum-doped zinc oxide, or niobium-doped titanium oxide can be used.

As shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of the porous power generation layers 25 are arranged on the back side (
As shown in FIG. 3, the first porous

In the present embodiment, the first porous

As the sensitizing dye, an organic dye or a metal complex dye can be used. Examples of the organic dye include acridine, azo, indigo, quinone, coumarin, merocyanine, and phenylxanthene dyes. As the metal complex dye, a ruthenium dye is preferable, and a ruthenium bipyridine dye and a ruthenium terpyridine dye, which are ruthenium complexes, are particularly preferable. For example, visible light (wavelength of about 400 to 800 nm) can hardly be absorbed with only an oxide semiconductor film, but by supporting a ruthenium complex, visible light can be significantly taken in and photoelectrically converted.
<輪郭層>
<Contour layer>
As shown in FIG. 5, in the porous
The
In addition, the reflectance of the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
Examples of the
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, a
5. Positive Electrode As shown in FIG. 5, in the dye-sensitized solar cell 1, a

<触媒層>
<Catalyst layer>
As shown in FIG. 5, a
<輪郭層>
<Contour layer>
As shown in FIG. 5, the
Furthermore, the
The
Furthermore, the dye-sensitized solar cell 1 may include an adhesive layer 9 that connects the
Moreover, when comprised as mentioned above, since the negative electrode 2 and the
