Abstract
【解決手段】内燃機関の排気通路のうちNOx浄化装置の上流側へ還元剤を添加する還元剤添加装置は、噴射弁33、および電気ヒータ34を備える。噴射弁33は、液体の還元剤を噴霧状態にして噴射する噴孔を有する。電気ヒータ34は、噴射弁33から噴射された還元剤を加熱して気化させる。そして、噴孔から噴射される還元剤の噴霧中心線C1、C2、C3、C4と電気ヒータ34の加熱面34aとの交差角度θ1、θ2、θ3、θ4が鋭角になるように、噴射弁33は配置されている。

Description
図1に示す燃焼システムは、以下に詳述する内燃機関10、過給機11、微粒子捕集装置(DPF14)、NOx浄化装置15、還元剤浄化装置(DOC16)および還元剤添加装置を備える。燃焼システムは車両に搭載されたものであり、当該車両は、内燃機関10の出力を駆動源として走行する。内燃機関10は、圧縮自着火式のディーゼルエンジンであり、燃焼に用いる燃料には軽油を用いている。
図3に示す実施形態では、電気ヒータ34の伝熱カバー340が円筒形状である。したがって、加熱面34aのうち噴霧が噴き付けられる領域A1〜A4の部分は、上側を凸とする円弧形状である。これに対し、図11に示す本実施形態に係る電気ヒータ34pの伝熱カバー341は、四角柱の内部に発熱体34bの挿入穴が形成された筒形状である。そして、加熱面34aのうち噴孔D1〜D4と対向する対向面341aの部分であって、噴霧が噴き付けられる噴き付け領域A1〜A4の部分は、水平方向に拡がる平坦形状である。なお、図中の上下方向を示す矢印は、還元剤添加装置を車両に搭載した状態における上下方向を示す。
図12に示すように、本実施形態に係る電気ヒータ34qの伝熱カバー342には、加熱面34aのうち噴き付け領域A1〜A4の部分に凹部342aが形成されている。なお、図中の上下方向を示す矢印は、還元剤添加装置を車両に搭載した状態における上下方向を示す。
図13に示すように、本実施形態に係る電気ヒータ34rの伝熱カバー343には、加熱面34aのうち噴き付け領域A1〜A4の部分は、複数の凹部343aを有する凹凸形状に形成されている。なお、図中の上下方向を示す矢印は、還元剤添加装置を車両に搭載した状態における上下方向を示す。
以上、発明の好ましい実施形態について説明したが、発明は上述した実施形態に何ら制限されることなく、以下に例示するように種々変形して実施することが可能である。各実施形態で具体的に組合せが可能であることを明示している部分同士の組合せばかりではなく、特に組合せに支障が生じなければ、明示してなくとも実施形態同士を部分的に組み合せることも可能である。
Claims (5)
- 内燃機関(10)の排気に含まれるNOxを還元触媒上で浄化するNOx浄化装置(15)が排気通路(10ex)に備えられた燃焼システムに設けられ、前記排気通路のうち前記還元触媒の上流側へ還元剤を添加する還元剤添加装置において、
液体の還元剤を噴霧状態にして噴射する噴孔(D1、D2、D3、D4)を有した噴射弁(33)と、
前記噴孔に対向するように配置された加熱面(34a)を有し、前記加熱面に付着した前記液体の還元剤を加熱して気化させる加熱手段(34、34p、34q、34r)と、
を備え、
前記噴孔から噴射される還元剤の噴霧中心線(C1、C2、C3、C4)と前記加熱面との交差角度(θ1、θ2、θ3、θ4)が鋭角になるように、前記噴射弁は配置されていることを特徴とする還元剤添加装置。 - 前記噴射弁から噴射された還元剤が気化する気化室(36a)を内部に有するとともに、前記気化室に前記加熱面が位置するように前記加熱手段を保持する保持部材(35)を備え、
前記加熱手段は、前記保持部材に形成された挿入穴(35c)に挿入され、
前記加熱面は、前記挿入穴への挿入方向(A)に延びる形状であり、
前記噴霧中心線が前記挿入方向に傾くように前記噴射弁は配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の還元剤添加装置。 - 前記噴孔は、前記噴射弁に複数設けられており、
複数の前記噴孔は、前記挿入方向に並べて配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の還元剤添加装置。 - 前記噴射弁は前記加熱面の上方側に配置されており、
前記加熱面のうち前記噴孔と対向する対向面(341a)は、水平方向に拡がる平坦形状であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の還元剤添加装置。 - 少なくとも酸素を含んだ酸素ガスを放電により電離させる電極(21)を有し、前記加熱手段により気化された還元剤を、電離させた酸素ガスにより酸化させて改質還元剤を生成させる放電リアクタ(20)を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の還元剤添加装置。
