Abstract
【解決手段】一対の板材3、4の端部3a、4a同士を互いに突き合わせるように対向配置し摩擦撹拌接合する方法であって、一対の板材3、4の端部3a、4a同士を摩擦撹拌して接合する接合部Sを挟み込むように、板材3、4の一面7側に第一ショルダ5を、板材3、4の他面8側に第二ショルダ6をそれぞれ配置し、第一ショルダ5と第二ショルダ6を回転させて一対の板材3、4の接合部Sを摩擦撹拌し、接合部Sを摩擦撹拌するとともに第一ショルダ5及び第二ショルダ6を板材3、4の他面8から一面7に向かう方向に移動させ、板材3、4の一面7から突出する凸部31を接合部Sに形成しながら摩擦撹拌接合する。

Claims (6)
- 一対の板材の端部同士を互いに突き合わせるように対向配置し摩擦撹拌接合する方法であって、
前記一対の板材の端部同士を摩擦撹拌して接合する接合部を挟み込むように、前記板材の一面側に第一ショルダを、前記板材の他面側に第二ショルダをそれぞれ配置し、
前記第一ショルダと前記第二ショルダを回転させて前記一対の板材の前記接合部を摩擦撹拌し、
前記接合部を摩擦撹拌するとともに前記第一ショルダ及び前記第二ショルダを前記板材の他面から一面に向かう方向に移動させ、前記板材の一面から突出する凸部を前記接合部に形成しながら摩擦撹拌接合するようにしたことを特徴とする摩擦撹拌接合方法。 - 請求項1記載の摩擦撹拌接合方法において、
前記凸部を除去して前記接合部と前記板材の他の部分の一面とを面一にすることを特徴とする摩擦撹拌接合方法。 - 請求項2記載の摩擦撹拌接合方法において、
前記凸部を除去した状態で前記接合部の板厚が所定の厚さになるように前記板材が予め形成されていることを特徴とする摩擦撹拌接合方法。 - 請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の摩擦撹拌接合方法において、
前記第一ショルダの前記板材の一面に接触する接触面積を、前記第二ショルダが前記板材の他面に接触する接触面積よりも小さくすることを特徴とする摩擦撹拌接合方法。 - 請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の摩擦撹拌接合方法において、
前記第二ショルダが前記板材の他面に接触する接触面積を、前記第一ショルダの前記板材の一面に接触する接触面積よりも小さくすることを特徴とする摩擦撹拌接合方法。 - 請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の摩擦撹拌接合方法において、
前記接合部を挟んで両側の一方の板材と他方の板材の一面を押え部材で押さえながら前記第一ショルダ及び前記第二ショルダを前記板材の他面から一面に向かう方向に移動させ、前記凸部を前記接合部に形成するようにしたことを特徴とする摩擦撹拌接合方法。
