第3の分子の構造式は、1,4−ビス(4−(6’−アクリロイルオキシヘキシルオキシ)ベンゾイルオキシ基)−2,3−ジメチルベンゼンであり、
第4の分子の構造式は、1,4−ビス(4−(6’−アクリロイルオキシヘキシルオキシ)ビフェニリルホルミルオキシ基)ベンゼンであり、
第5の分子の構造式は、1,4−ビス(4−(6’− アクリロイルオキシヘキシルオキシ)ビフェニリルホルミルオキシ基)−2−クロロベンゼンであり、

上記のように、本発明実施例中におけるアレイ基板において配向層を塗布する場合、ラビング作用により液晶平面配向を誘導し、液晶中の重合可能モノマーは液晶性を有し、その他の液晶分子は長軸配列方向に従って配列する。製造工程において、紫外線照射によって、重合可能モノマーが重合し、生成される高分子重合体ネットワークは方向性を有する。ADS表示モード中の液晶分子の長軸は基板に平行であり、形成される高分子重合体ネットワークは、液晶分子の電界下における分子回転に有利であり、これにより液晶装置のエネルギー消耗を減少させる。

Claims (15)
- カラーフィルター基板、アレイ基板、及び前記カラーフィルター基板と前記アレイ基板との間に充填されている液晶複合系を含み、
前記液晶複合系中には、液晶及び、液晶性重合可能モノマーが重合することによって形成される高分子重合体ネットワークが含まれることを特徴とする、液晶表示装置。 - 前記高分子重合体ネットワークは方向性を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記カラーフィルター基板と、前記アレイ基板の向かい合う表面の少なくとも一つ上に配向層が設けられ、前記配向層は一定の配向方向を有し、前記高分子重合体ネットワーク中の重合体主鎖の延伸方向は前記配向膜の配向方向と略平行であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記高分子重合体ネットワーク中の重合体主鎖の延伸方向は、重合前の液晶性重合可能モノマーの配列方向によって決められ、液晶性重合可能モノマーの配列方向は液晶分子の配列方向によって決められ、液晶分子の配列方向は前記配向層の配向方向によって決められることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記高分子重合体ネットワーク境界の分子構造中には、剛直性官能基と柔軟性官能基が含まれ、前記剛直性官能基はネットワークの液晶分子に対するアンカー作用を決めることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記剛直性官能基はビフェニル基を含み、前記柔軟性官能基はアルキル基を含むことを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記液晶性重合可能モノマーから前記高分子重合体ネットワークを形成する重合反応は不可逆性を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記液晶性重合可能モノマーはC6MまたはC6M誘導体であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記液晶性重合可能モノマーの質量は、前記液晶質量の4%〜8%であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記アレイ基板上にはピクセル電極と共通電極とが設けられ、前記ピクセル電極と前記共通電極は前記アレイ基板の異なる層に設けられ、前記ピクセル電極と前記共通電極の間には絶縁層が設けられ、前記共通電極はピクセルエリア全体を覆い、前記ピクセル電極中にはスリット状開口部があることを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 液晶性重合可能モノマー、光開始剤を液晶中に添加して、遮光条件下で攪拌することで液晶複合系を得て、
液晶複合系をカラーフィルター基板とアレイ基板との間に加え、初期液晶表示装置を形成し、及び、
紫外線で該初期液晶表示装置を照射し、該初級液晶表示装置中の液晶複合系中の液晶性重合可能モノマーは光開始剤の作用下において重合し、高分子重合体ネットワークを形成し、最終的な液晶表示装置を得ることを特徴とする、液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記カラーフィルターと前記アレイ基板の向かい合う表面の少なくとも一つ上に配向層を配置し、前記配向層は一定の配向方向を有し、且つ、前記液晶複合系を前記カラーフィルター基板と前記アレイ基板との間に加える際、前記液晶と前記液晶性重合可能モノマーは前記配向層に沿った方向で配列することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記の紫外線で前記初期液晶表示装置を照射するステップは、セル形成工程中における、フレーム封止接着剤に対して紫外線硬化するステップにおいて完成することを特徴とする、請求項11または12に記載の方法。
- 前記液晶性重合可能モノマーの質量は前記液晶質量の10%以下であることを特徴とする、請求項11〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記液晶性重合可能モノマーの質量は前記液晶質量の4%〜8%であることを特徴とする、請求項11〜14のいずれかに記載の方法。
