Claims (15)
- テラヘルツ範囲における電磁波をガイドする装置において、前記装置が、
コア構造及び少なくとも1つの閉じ込め構造を持つワイヤ、
を有し、
前記閉じ込め構造が、前記ワイヤの長さに沿って連続的に延在する、
装置。 - 前記閉じ込め構造が、少なくとも1つの溝及び/又は少なくとも1つのリブを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記コア構造が、実質的に円形の断面を持つ、及び/又は前記閉じ込め構造が、実質的に三角形及び/又は矩形断面を持つ、請求項1又は2に記載の装置。
- 前記閉じ込め構造の少なくとも1つの次元が、サブ波長寸法を持つ、請求項1ないし3のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記コア構造及び/又は前記閉じ込め構造が、導電性材料、半導体材料、ドープ半導体材料、金属、銅及び/又はステンレス鋼で作られる、請求項1ないし4のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記ワイヤに沿ってガイドされる電磁波が、前記閉じ込め構造内に及び/又は前記ワイヤの断面内に実質的に閉じ込められる少なくとも1つの伝搬モードを有する、請求項1ないし5のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記ワイヤが可撓性である、請求項1ないし6のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記ワイヤがコーティングを有する、請求項1ないし7のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記コーティングは、前記ワイヤの断面が円形、三角形又は矩形の形状を持つように前記コア構造及び前記閉じ込め構造を囲む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記コーティングが低損失コーティングである、及び/又は前記コーティングの材料が金属、ベンゾシクロブテン及び/又はポリエチレンを有する、請求項8又は9に記載の装置。
- 前記ワイヤが、互いに結合され、互いに面する閉じ込め構造の少なくとも1つの対を有する、請求項1ないし10のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記ワイヤが、それぞれ送信及び受信チャネルとして機能する少なくとも2つの閉じ込め構造を有する、請求項1ないし11のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記装置が、医療介入用の針及び/又はカテーテルを有し、前記ワイヤの直径より大きい直径を持つ中心孔が、前記針及び/又は前記カテーテルに配置される、請求項1ないし12のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- テラヘルツ撮像用のシステムにおいて、
テラヘルツ信号発生器と、
テラヘルツ信号検出器と、
請求項1ないし13のいずれか一項に記載の装置と、
を有するシステム。 - テラヘルツ範囲における電磁波をガイドする方法において、
電磁波をコア構造及びワイヤの長さに沿って連続的に延在する少なくとも1つの閉じ込め構造を持つワイヤ内に結合するステップと、
前記ワイヤにそって関心領域まで前記電磁波をガイドするステップと、
を有する方法。
