The cross section area of a hollow portion in planar view of the vehicle body 2 in the rear end portions of the combined bodies 13 and 49 is set to be larger than the cross section area in the front side, and the rear end portion of the cover panel 9 and the rear end portion of the rear side member 13 are connected to the end portion of the lower back panel 21.

Description

The present invention provides a rear side member that constitutes a lower part of the rear part of the vehicle body and supports a rear suspension and / or a fuel tank in the middle part in the longitudinal direction, and the middle part of the rear side member has an inverted hat shape in cross section. The present invention relates to a vehicle body rear part structure formed as described above.

Conventionally, the vehicle body rear structure of the vehicle is disclosed in Patent Documents 1 and 2 below. According to these publications, the vehicle body rear structure of the vehicle extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body to form a lower portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body, and a rear side member that supports the rear suspension and the fuel tank at a midway portion in the longitudinal direction. A lower back panel that extends in the width direction of the vehicle body to form a rear lower portion of the vehicle body, and a rear end portion of the rear side member is coupled to an end portion in the longitudinal direction; an upper surface of the rear side member; and the lower back panel; And a floor panel coupled to these so as to straddle the cross section, and the cross section of the midway portion of the rear side member has an inverted hat shape.

When the vehicle is traveling, a large load is applied to the middle part of the rear side member as an impact force from the traveling road surface through the rear suspension. Further, the middle part of the rear side member is given as a load having a large mass of the fuel tank storing fuel and an inertial force during traveling based on this mass. Furthermore, when an object collides with the vehicle from the rear (rear collision), and a large impact force is applied to the rear part of the vehicle body and the middle part of the rear side member is greatly deformed, The fuel tank may be damaged.

Therefore, in the above-described conventional technology, the middle portion of the rear side member has an inverted hat-shaped cross section that facilitates ensuring large strength and rigidity. According to this, each said load is firmly supported by the middle part of the said rear side member, and, thereby, stable vehicle travel can be obtained. Further, the middle part of the rear side member is prevented from being deformed at the time of rear collision, and the fuel tank supported by the middle part is prevented from being deformed.

特開2007−269291号公報JP 2007-269291 A 特開2011−184005号公報JP 2011-184005 A

By the way, in the prior art of the above-mentioned Patent Document 1, the structure and the plate thickness of the cross-section of the inverted hat shape set in the middle part of the rear side member are applied over the entire longitudinal direction of the rear side member.

In the above case, the rear portion of the rear side member extending from the middle portion of the rear side member to the rear end portion is not loaded as much as the middle portion of the rear side member. For this reason, strength and rigidity are excessive at the rear part of the rear side member, and the mass tends to be unnecessarily large. As a result, the productivity of the rear part of the vehicle body may be reduced.

On the other hand, the impact force at the time of rear collision may be large. For this reason, in order to counteract this impact force, the strength of the rear end portion of the vehicle body rear portion is improved by further improving the coupling force between the rear end portion of the rear side member and the lower back panel. It is possible to prevent it.

However, if a separate reinforcing material is provided in order to improve the strength as described above, the number of parts at the rear of the vehicle body increases and the configuration becomes complicated, and in this respect as well, the productivity of the vehicle body may be reduced. Arise.

The present invention has been made paying attention to the above-described circumstances, and the object of the present invention is to reduce the unnecessary mass at the rear part of the vehicle body, thereby reducing the weight of the rear part of the vehicle body, thereby increasing the productivity of the rear part of the vehicle body. By improving the strength of the rear end of the vehicle body with a simple configuration, it is possible to maintain good productivity regardless of the strength improvement of the rear portion of the vehicle body. is there.

The invention according to claim 1 includes a rear side member 13 that extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2 to form a lower side portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body 2 and supports the rear suspension 6 and / or the fuel tank 8 at a middle portion in the longitudinal direction thereof. A lower back panel 21 that extends in the width direction of the vehicle body 2 to form a rear lower portion of the vehicle body 2 and has a rear end portion of the rear side member 13 coupled to an end portion in a longitudinal direction thereof, an upper surface of the rear side member 13, and the above In the vehicle body rear structure of the vehicle comprising a floor panel 23 coupled thereto so as to straddle the lower back panel 21 and having a cross section of the middle part of the rear side member 13 in an inverted hat shape,
Of the support portions 36 to 39 of the rear suspension 6 and / or the fuel tank 8 in the rear side member 13, the cross section of the rear portion of the rear side member 13 from the support portion 37 positioned at the rearmost portion to the rear end portion. Is formed so as to gradually become an L-shape from the inverted hat shape toward the rear, and the rear side member 13 has an inverted L shape together with the floor panel 23 from above and is a cover that is thinner than the rear side member 13. The panel 49 is joined so that the cross section of each part in the longitudinal direction of the combined body 13, 49 of the rear side member 13 and the cover panel 49 has a hollow closed cross section.
The cover panel is configured so that the cross-sectional area of the hollow portion in the front end of the vehicle body 2 at the rear end portions of the combined bodies 13 and 49 is larger than that of the front side of the rear end portion of the rear side member 13. 9 is a rear structure of a vehicle body, characterized in that the rear end portion of 9 is coupled to the end portion of the lower back panel 21 together with the rear end portion of the rear side member 13.

In addition, in this section, the reference numerals and drawing numbers appended to the above terms are not intended to limit the technical scope of the present invention to the “Example” section and the contents of the drawings described later.

The effects of the present invention are as follows.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, a rear side member that extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body and constitutes a lower side portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body and that supports a rear suspension and / or a fuel tank in the middle in the longitudinal direction, and a width direction of the vehicle body Extends to form the rear lower part of the vehicle body, and is coupled to the lower back panel to which the rear end of the rear side member is coupled at the longitudinal end thereof, and to straddle the upper surface of the rear side member and the lower back panel. A vehicle body rear structure having an inverted hat shape in a cross section of the middle part of the rear side member,
Among the support portions of the rear suspension and / or fuel tank in the rear side member, the cross section of the rear portion of the rear side member from the support portion located at the rearmost portion to the rear end portion is inverted as it goes rearward. The rear side member is formed so as to gradually become an L shape, and a rear cover of the rear side member is joined to a rear portion of the rear side member in an inverted L shape together with the floor panel from above. The cross section of each part in the longitudinal direction of the combined body of the cover panel and the cover panel has a hollow closed cross section.

Here, while the vehicle is running, a large load is applied to the middle part of the rear side member from the rear suspension and the fuel tank, and a large impact force may be applied during a rear-end collision. The section has an inverted hat-shaped cross section that is easy to ensure large strength and rigidity. Therefore, the large load and the impact force at the time of rear impact are firmly supported by the middle part of the rear side member. .

Further, in the rear part of the rear side member from the middle part of the rear side member to the rear end part, a load as large as that of the middle part of the rear side member is not applied. Therefore, as described above, the cross section of the rear part of the rear side member is changed from an inverted hat shape to an L shape as it goes rearward, and the length of the rear side member in the surface direction in this cross section is shortened. While reducing the weight, the rear panel of the rear side member is joined to the rear panel together with a cover panel that is thinner than the rear side member, and the combination of the rear part of the rear side member and the cover panel is hollow while suppressing an increase in mass. As a closed cross-sectional shape, predetermined strength and rigidity are secured at the rear part of the rear side member.

Therefore, it is possible to make each part in the longitudinal direction of the rear side member have appropriate strength and rigidity against the load applied to the rear side member at the rear part of the vehicle body and the impact force at the time of rear collision. The weight of the rear portion of the vehicle body can be reduced by reducing the mass. As a result, the productivity of the rear part of the vehicle body is improved.

Further, the rear end of the cover panel is configured such that the cross-sectional area of the hollow portion in the front end of the vehicle body at the rear end of the combined body is larger than that of the front side of the rear end of the rear side member. A portion is coupled to the end portion of the lower back panel together with a rear end portion of the rear side member.

For this reason, as the cross-sectional area of the hollow portion at the rear end of the combined body is increased, the section modulus can be increased, the number of spot welding spots on the lower back panel can be increased, and the arc welding line length can be increased. For example, the bonding strength of the combination to the floor panel can be improved. Therefore, since the strength of the rear end portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body is improved by the improvement of the coupling strength, the rear end portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body can strongly counter the impact force at the time of rear collision.

Moreover, since the above-mentioned strength improvement of the rear end portion of the vehicle body can be achieved with a simple configuration without providing a separate reinforcing material, the productivity of the vehicle rear portion is good while improving the strength as described above. Can be maintained.

The vehicle rear structure of the vehicle according to the present invention reduces the unnecessary mass at the rear of the vehicle, thereby reducing the weight of the rear of the vehicle, thereby improving the productivity of the rear of the vehicle, and improving the rear end of the rear of the vehicle. An embodiment for carrying out the present invention in order to realize the purpose of enabling improvement in strength to be achieved with a simple configuration and maintaining good productivity regardless of the improvement in strength of the rear portion of the vehicle body. The lower back panel spans the upper surface of the rear side member and the lower back panel. And a floor panel coupled to the floor. The cross section of the middle part of the rear side member has an inverted hat shape.

Of the respective support portions of the rear suspension and / or fuel tank in the rear side member, the cross section of the rear portion of the rear side member from the support portion located at the rearmost portion to the rear end portion is inverted as it moves rearward. It is formed so as to gradually become an L shape from the hat shape. The rear side member has an inverted L-shaped cover panel that is lower than the rear side member and is joined to the rear part of the rear side member from the upper side, and crosses each part in the longitudinal direction of the combination of the rear part of the rear side member and the cover panel. The surface has a hollow closed cross-sectional shape.

The cross-sectional area of the hollow portion of the rear end portion of the combined body in a front view of the vehicle body is made larger than that of the front side of the rear side member, and the rear end portion of the cover panel is the rear side member. And the rear end of the lower back panel.

And the upper surfaces of the rear side member 13, the cross members 14 and 15, the rocker 19, and the wheel house 20 are joined to straddle the lower back panel 21 to form the lower surface of the vehicle compartment 4. And a floor panel 23.

In the above case, the lower back panel 21 extends linearly in the width direction of the vehicle body 2, and the rear pillar 22 extends upward from the ends of the lower back panel 21. The opposite edge portions of the end portion of the lower back panel 21 and the lower end portion of the rear pillar 22 are firmly coupled to each other, and the coupling portion 25 is formed between the lower back panel 21 and the rear pillar 22. ing.

The rocker 19, the lower back panel 21, and the rear pillar 22 each have a hollow cross-sectional shape in the longitudinal direction of each part, have high strength and rigidity, and together with the vehicle body frame 3, a skeleton member of the vehicle body 2. Configure. The upper region of the lower back panel 21 is a back door opening 24 that opens the compartment 4 at the rear of the vehicle body 2 to the rear of the vehicle body 2.

The rear suspension 6 is positioned below the left and right rear side members 13 and extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body 2. A pivotal support 27 that elastically pivots the front end of the suspension arm 26 to the rear side member 13 so as to be able to swing up and down together with the wheel 7 and the left and right suspension arms 26 extending in the width direction of the vehicle body 2. A spring member 29 having a spring interposed between the cross member 28 and the suspension arm 26 and the rear side member 13 in an elastically compressed state, and the vehicle body main body. The rear end portion of the wheel house 20 and the suspension arm 26, which are parts 5, are connected to each other. And a damper 30 of the pressure cylinder type.

The fuel tank 8 is disposed in a space surrounded by the front part of the left and right rear side members 13 and the front and rear cross members 14 and 15, and is fixed to the cross members 14 and 15 by fasteners 33. Supported.

As described above, since the vehicle body 2 is symmetrical, the right side portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body 2 will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings, and the description of the left side portion will be omitted.

The joint portions of the pivot support 27 and the spring device 29 of the rear suspension 6 with respect to the longitudinal middle portion of the rear side member 13 are connected to the first and second support portions 36 and 37 of the rear suspension 6 of the rear side member 13. Is done. Further, as described above, since the fuel tank 8 is supported by the front and rear cross members 14 and 15, the connecting portions of the front and rear cross members 14 and 15 with respect to the middle part in the longitudinal direction of the rear side member 13 are The rear side members 13 are the third and fourth support portions 38 and 39 of the fuel tank 8.

In the rear side member 13, the longitudinal cross-sections corresponding to the first to fourth support parts 36 to 39 have an inverted hat shape in the cross section of each part. Specifically, the middle portion of the rear side member 13 is formed by integrally connecting the outer plates 42 and 43 and the lower end edges of the inner and outer plates 42 and 43 facing each other in the width direction of the vehicle body 2. A bottom plate 44 coupled to the outer side, and an outwardly facing inner and outer flanges 45 and 46 integrally formed on the upper end edges of the inner and outer plates 42 and 43.

Of the first to fourth support portions 36 to 39 in the rear side member 13, the rear cross section of the rear side member 13 from the second support portion 37 positioned at the rearmost portion to the rear end portion is rearward. As it goes, it is formed so as to gradually become an L shape from the inverted hat shape. Specifically, the outer side plate 43 and the bottom plate 44 of the rear side member 13 are maintained in a substantially constant shape, but the inner side plate 42 has an upper end edge with the inner side flange 45 and the bottom plate 44 as it goes rearward. It is tilted back and down to approach. In addition, the outer flange 46 changes from a horizontal posture to a vertical posture as it goes rearward.

A cover panel 49 is provided at the rear part of the rear side member 13 and is coupled together with the outer edge of the floor panel 23 from above. The front portion of the cover panel 49 is a flat plate extending in the width direction of the vehicle body 2 and is joined across the inner and outer flanges 45 and 46 of the rear side member 13 (FIG. 6). Further, the rear portion of the cover panel 49 has an inverted L-shaped cross section when the vehicle body 2 is viewed from the front (FIGS. 7 and 8). The cross section of each part in the longitudinal direction of the combined body 13, 49 of the rear part of the rear side member 13 and the cover panel 49 is a hollow closed cross section. In this case, the cover panel 49 has a thickness of about 65 to 75% of the thickness of the rear side member 13.

Specifically, the rear portion of the cover panel 49 includes an upper surface plate 50 that constitutes an upper portion thereof, an inner plate 51 that integrally extends downward from an inner edge of the upper surface plate 50, and the upper plate An outwardly outward flange that is formed integrally with the outer edge of the face plate 50 and that is coupled in a three-ply manner by sandwiching the outer edge of the floor panel 23 in cooperation with the outer flange 46 of the rear side member 13. 52 and an outer edge which is integrally formed at the lower edge of the inner plate 51 and which is joined in a three-ply manner by sandwiching the outer edge of the floor panel 23 in cooperation with the inner flange 45 of the rear side member 13. And an inner flange 53 of the orientation.

The cross-sectional area of the hollow portion in the front view of the vehicle body 2 at the rear end portions of the combined bodies 13 and 49 is made larger than that of the front side of the rear end portion of the rear side member 13. The rear end portion, together with the rear end portions of the rear side member 13 and the floor panel 23, is firmly coupled to the front surfaces of the end portion of the lower back panel 21 and the lower end portion of the rear pillar 22 across the coupling portion 25. ing.

Specifically, the bottom plate 44 of the rear side member 13 and the upper surface plate 50 of the cover panel 49 are displaced toward the inner side of the vehicle body 2 as the respective inner edge portions thereof are directed rearward, and the width dimension is gradually enlarged. ing. Accordingly, the inner flange 45 of the rear side member 13 and the inner plate 51 of the cover panel 49 are bent toward the inner side of the vehicle body 2 toward the rear.

As described above, the rear end portions of the combined bodies 13 and 49 including the rear side member 13 and the cover panel 49 and the floor panel 23 are connected to the front surfaces of the lower back panel 21 and the rear pillar 22. Since the back panel 21 and the rear pillar 22 are coupled across the coupling part 25, the rear ends of the combined bodies 13, 49 and the floor panel 23 are coupled to either the lower back panel 21 or the rear pillar 22. In comparison, the bonding strength of each of the above-described bonding portions is effectively improved. Therefore, the strength of the rear end portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body 2 can be effectively improved.

6 to 9, the outer edge portion of the floor panel 23 may be coupled to the upper surface of the cover panel 49. Further, the above-described bonding between the sheet metal members may be performed by arc welding in addition to spot welding.

Further, when the cross-sectional area of the hollow portion in the front view of the vehicle body 2 at the rear end portions of the combined bodies 13 and 49 is increased, the rear end portion of the cover panel 49 is set as shown by a one-dot chain line in FIG. The cover panel 49 may be extended upward and the rear end portion of the cover panel 49 may be coupled to the rear surface of the rear pillar 22. Even in this case, the strength of the rear end portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body 2 is effectively improved. Can be made.

Further, as shown by a one-dot chain line in FIG. 2, the inner plate 42 and / or the bottom plate 44 of the rear side member 13 may be extended to be brought into surface contact with the front surfaces of the lower back panel 21 and the rear pillar 22. Good. In such a case, for the combination bodies 13 and 49, the hollow cross-sectional area of the front cross section when the vehicle body 2 is viewed from the front and the hollow cross-sectional area of the rear cross section when the vehicle body 2 is viewed from the side are substantially the same. In other words, the cross-sectional areas of the hollow portions in the cross-sections of the respective portions in the longitudinal direction of the combined bodies 13 and 49 may be substantially uniform.

Although not shown, when the fourth support portion 39 of the fuel tank 8 is located at the rear end among the first to fourth support portions 36 to 39 in the rear side member 13, the fourth support portion 39 The cross section of the rear portion of the rear side member 13 up to the rear end portion of the rear side member 13 may be formed so as to gradually become an L shape from the inverted hat shape toward the rear.

Further, the L-shaped cross section of the rear portion of the rear side member 13 may be formed by the inner plate 42 and the bottom plate 44 of the rear side member 13. Further, a connecting member for connecting the rear end portions of the left and right rear side members 13 to each other and connecting to the lower back panel 21 may be provided, so that the strength of the rear end portion of the rear portion of the vehicle body 2 is further improved. Improve.

According to the above configuration, the rear side member from the support portion 37 positioned at the rearmost portion to the rear end portion of the support portions 36 to 39 of the rear suspension 6 and / or the fuel tank 8 in the rear side member 13. The rear cross section of the rear part 13 is formed so as to gradually become an L shape from the inverted hat shape toward the rear, and the rear side member 13 is formed in an inverted L shape together with the floor panel 23 at the rear part of the rear side member 13 from above. A cover panel 49 that is thinner than 13 is coupled so that the cross section of each of the combinations 13 and 49 of the rear side member 13 and the cover panel 49 in the longitudinal direction has a hollow closed cross section.

Here, while the vehicle 1 is traveling, a large load is applied to the middle part of the rear side member 13 from the rear suspension 6 and the fuel tank 8 and a large impact force may be applied during a rear-end collision. The middle part of the rear side member 13 has an inverted hat-shaped cross section that can easily ensure a large strength and rigidity. For this reason, the large load and the impact force at the time of the rear impact described above are caused by the middle part of the rear side member 13. Is firmly supported by.

Further, in the rear part of the rear side member 13 extending from the middle part of the rear side member 13 to the rear end part, a load as large as that of the middle part of the rear side member 13 is not applied. Therefore, as described above, the cross section of the rear portion of the rear side member 13 is changed from an inverted hat shape to an L shape as it goes rearward, and the length of the rear side member 13 in the plane direction in the cross section is shortened. While the weight of the rear side member 13 is reduced, a cover panel 49 that is thinner than the rear side member 13 is coupled to the rear portion of the rear side member 13 together with the floor panel 23, and the combined body 13 of the rear portion of the rear side member 13 and the cover panel 49 is combined. 49 have a hollow closed cross-sectional shape while suppressing an increase in mass, and a predetermined strength and rigidity are ensured at the rear part of the rear side member 13.

Therefore, the respective parts in the longitudinal direction of the rear side member 13 can be made to have appropriate strength and rigidity with respect to the load applied to the rear side member 13 at the rear part of the vehicle body 2 and the impact force at the time of rear collision. The unnecessary mass at the rear part of the vehicle body 2 can be reduced, and the rear part of the vehicle body 2 can be reduced in weight. As a result, the productivity of the rear part of the vehicle body 2 is improved.

In addition, the cross-sectional area of the hollow portion of the rear end portions of the combined bodies 13 and 49 in the front view of the vehicle body 2 is larger than that of the front side of the rear end portion of the rear side member 13, The rear end portion of the cover panel 9 is coupled to the end portion of the lower back panel 21 together with the rear end portion of the rear side member 13.

For this reason, as the cross-sectional area of the hollow portion at the rear end portion of the combined bodies 13 and 49 is increased, the section modulus can be increased, the number of spot welding spots on the lower back panel 21 can be increased, or arc welding can be performed. The joint strength of the combination bodies 13 and 49 to the floor panel 23 can be improved. Therefore, since the strength of the rear end of the rear part of the vehicle body 2 is improved by the improvement of the coupling strength, the rear end of the rear part of the vehicle body 2 can strongly counter the impact force at the time of rear collision.

Moreover, since the above-mentioned strength improvement of the rear end portion of the vehicle body 2 can be achieved with a simple configuration without providing a separate reinforcing material, the productivity of the rear portion of the vehicle body 2 is improved while improving the strength as described above. Can be maintained well.
