Description
角膜ベッド、該角膜ベッド上に位置するフラップ、及び角膜ベッドとフラップの間のフラップの周縁部に位置し、フラップの縁に沿って広がる少なくとも1つの角膜組織細片を定める所定の切開形状に従って、第1の集光レーザー放射により目の角膜に切開部を作り、フラップを上方に折りたたみ、少なくとも1つの組織細片を除去し、切除プロファイルに従って、第2の集光レーザー放射により露出したベッド組織を切除し、フラップを元の位置に戻す。

Claims (14)
- 人間の角膜(45)を集光レーザー放射で切開する装置であって、
前記放射の集光位置を設定するための制御可能な複数のコンポーネント(16)と、該複数のコンポーネントを制御するための制御コンピュータ(30)と、該制御コンピュータの制御プログラム(34)を有し、
前記制御プログラムは、前記制御コンピュータによる実行時に、所定の切開形状に従って、前記角膜に切開部(38、40、43)を作るように設計された命令を含み、
前記所定の切開形状は、角膜ベッド(42)、該角膜ベッド上に位置するフラップ(36)、及び前記角膜ベッドとフラップの間のフラップの周縁部に位置し、前記フラップの縁に沿って広がる少なくとも1つの組織細片(46)を定めるものであることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記組織細片(46)は、実質的に前記フラップの縁の全周長さまで広がるものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記組織細片(46)は、前記フラップの縁の周長さの一部にのみ広がるものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記所定の切開形状は、前記フラップの縁の異なる周領域に沿って広がる少なくとも2つの組織細片を定めるものであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記組織細片(46)は、完全に前記角膜の前面(48)の下方に位置するものであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記組織細片(46)は、前記フラップの縁の周方向の断面が変わるものであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記組織細片(46)の断面は、前記角膜(45)の前面(48)から角膜のより深い領域に向かう方向に見て幅が増加するものであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記組織細片(46)の断面は、略楔形状であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記切開部(38、40、43)は、完全に前記角膜(45)内部の深さ位置にあり、前記角膜の前面(48)に平行に広がり、前記フラップの下面を定める第1の切開部(38)と、少なくとも1つが前記角膜の前面に達し、互いに距離を有する2つの第2の切開部(40、43)を含み、前記第2の切開部は、前記第1の切開部に角度を成して交わり、前記第1の切開部と共に前記組織細片(46)との境界を定めるものであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記2つの第2の切開部(40、43)は、前記角膜の前面(48)の下方で互いに交わるものであることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記制御コンピュータ(30)は、角膜切除プロファイルの型である切除データを利用でき、該切除データに基づき、前記切開形状における前記組織細片(46)の断面を前記フラップの縁の周位置に応じて決定するように設定されたものであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 人間の目を切開する方法であって、
角膜ベッド、該角膜ベッド上に位置するフラップ、及び前記角膜ベッドとフラップの間のフラップの周縁部に位置し、前記フラップの縁に沿って広がる少なくとも1つの組織細片を定める所定の切開形状に従って、第1の集光レーザー放射により前記目の角膜に切開部を作り、
前記フラップを上方に折りたたみ、
前記少なくとも1つの組織細片を除去し、
切除プロファイルに従って、第2の集光レーザー放射により露出したベッド組織を切除し、前記フラップを元の位置に戻すことを特徴とする方法。 - 更に、前記切除プロファイルに基づいて、前記切開形状を決定することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記切開形状の決定は、前記切除前と切除後とを比較して見られる、前記角膜ベッドの表面を端から端まで測定した少なくとも1つの線分の長さの差を調査し、該調査した少なくとも1つの長さの差に基づいて、前記少なくとも1つの組織細片の断面を定めることにより行うことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の方法。
