本発明によるマイクロ流体試験担体は、基板を有し、この基板に毛細管構造が形成される。毛細管構造は、基板および被覆層によって囲まれる。毛細管構造は、ある分量の試料流体を受け入れる受容チャンバと、受容チャンバより小さい容積を有する少なくとも1つの試料チャンバと、受容チャンバと試料チャンバの間に延びる接続流路とを備える。受容チャンバ、接続流路および試料チャンバの組み合わせは、上記分量の試料流体を元の分量の流体より小さい1つまたは複数の部分量に配分するように働く。
Claims (14)
- 基板(4)および被覆層(21)を有すると共に、前記基板(4)および前記被覆層(21)によって囲まれる前記基板(4)に形成された毛細管構造(3)を有する、ある分量の流体を部分量に配分するためのマイクロ流体試験担体であって、
− 前記毛細管構造(3)が、受容チャンバ(6)、試料チャンバ(8、10、11)、および前記受容チャンバ(6)と前記試料チャンバ(8、10、11)の間の接続流路(9)を備え、
− 前記受容チャンバ(6)が、2つの向かい合う境界面(22、23)、および側壁(27)を有し、前記境界面(22、23)の一方が入口部(7)を有し、前記境界面のうちの一方の境界面(22)が前記受容チャンバ(6)の床部(24)であり、他方の境界面(23)が前記受容チャンバ(6)の覆い(25)であり、
− 前記受容チャンバ(6)が、円周状の排出流路(16)、および前記受容チャンバ(6)と前記排出流路(16)の間に配置された円周状の堰(18)を有し、前記堰(18)が、前記排出流路(16)よりも前記入口部(7)に近く、
− 前記堰(18)が、幾何的弁(28)を形成する毛細管栓が、前記堰(18)および前記排出流路(16)によって形成されるように設計され、前記毛細管栓を通じて空気が、前記排出流路(16)から逃れることができ、
− 前記接続流路(9)が、前記排出流路(16)の流出孔(26)と前記試料チャンバ(8、10、11)の入口孔(35)の間に延び、流体輸送が、前記受容チャンバ(6)から前記試料チャンバ(8、10、11)の中へと可能となっており、
− 前記弁(28)が、前記受容チャンバ(6)からの自動的な流体輸送が防がれるように設計される、マイクロ流体試験担体。 - 前記受容チャンバ(6)の前記境界面(22、23)の一方が湾曲しており、好ましくは他方の境界面(22、23)が前記被覆層(21)によって形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記湾曲した境界面(23)が、前記受容チャンバ(6)の前記覆い(25)であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記湾曲した境界面(22)が、前記受容チャンバ(6)の前記床部(24)であり、好ましくは、前記床部(24)は、前記床部(24)が前記受容チャンバ(6)の前記堰(18)に向かって上向きに傾斜されるように湾曲していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記試験担体(1)が、前記試験担体(1)を通じて延びる回転軸(5)、好ましくは前記試験担体(1)の中心点または重心を通じて延びる回転軸(5)を中心にして回転することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記受容チャンバ(6)が、前記回転軸(5)が前記入口部(7)を通じて延びるように前記試験担体(1)に対して配置されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記受容チャンバ(6)が、前記回転軸(5)が前記受容チャンバ(6)の前記中心点または前記重心を通じて延びるように前記試験担体に配置されることを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記受容チャンバ(6)が、前記試験担体(1)の前記中心点または前記試験担体(1)の前記重心から偏心して配置されることを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記受容チャンバ(6)の前記床部(24)が、前記流体が流れ込む前記流出孔(26)に近い収集領域(42)に凹み(43)が形成されるように凹まされることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記覆い(25)中の前記入口部(7)に向き合って配置され、好ましくは前記回転軸(5)と一直線に並べられる好ましくは円錐形の突起部(40)が、前記受容チャンバ(6)の前記床部(24)に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記受容チャンバ(6)から離れるように延びる接続流路(9)とそれぞれ流体連通する複数の流出孔(26)が、前記排出流路(16)に配置され、好ましくは、前記流出孔(26)が、等距離を隔てて円周に分散されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記試料チャンバ(8、10、11)が、流体が前記試料チャンバ(8、10、11)から流れることができるように出口流路(34)と流体連通する出口孔(33)を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 入口孔(39)を有するさらなる流体チャンバ(38)が、前記出口流路(34)と接続し、流体チャンバ(38)が、前記出口流路(34)によって前記試料チャンバ(8、10、11)と流体連通することを特徴とする請求項12に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
- 前記側壁が、前記受容チャンバ(6)の中心点から離れるように延在する窪み(44)を備え、前記流出孔(26)が、前記窪み(44)に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至13のいずれか一項に記載のマイクロ流体試験担体。
