Abstract
Description
本明細書において、以下の用語は次の意味を有する。
「流体チャンバ」とは、輸液処置中に注入液が通過する内部空間または内腔を有するあらゆる装置を意味し、注入液は流体チャンバ内にある間にUV−C光に曝露される。
「UV−C」とは、約200nm〜280nmの波長を有する紫外線光を意味する。
「除菌ランプ」とは、約200nm〜約280nmの範囲、好ましくは約255nmの波長の出力エネルギーを生成する市販のUV生成ランプを意味する。
「血管アクセス装置」とは、注入液を患者の体内に注入するために使用されるあらゆる装置または装置の組み合わせを意味する。
「UV−C透過材料」とは、UV−C光またはエネルギーを通過させるあらゆる材料を意味する。
「UV−C不透過材料」とは、UV−C光またはエネルギーの通過を遮断または、そうでなければ阻止するあらゆる材料を意味する。
「UV−C反射材料」とは、UV−C照射またはエネルギーを反射するあらゆる材料を意味する。
Claims (20)
- 血管アクセス装置において、
内腔、内面、外面、および照射窓を有する流体チャンバであって、前記内面が、前記内面に病原菌を運ぶ可能性のある流体と連通できるような流体チャンバと、
前記照射窓に近接して、UV−C光が前記流体チャンバの前記内腔の中へと発せられて、病原菌の活動を抑制するように位置付けられるUV−C光源と、
を備えることを特徴とする血管アクセス装置。 - 前記流体チャンバがUV−C反射材料を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の血管アクセス装置。
- 前記流体チャンバの前記内面と前記外面の少なくとも一方に塗布されたUV−C反射材料をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の血管アクセス装置。
- 前記照射窓がUV−C透過材料を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の血管アクセス装置。
- 前記UV−C光源が、前記流体チャンバの前記外面と前記照射窓の少なくとも一方に取り外し可能に連結されるハウジングを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の血管アクセス装置。
- 前記外面はUV−C不透過性であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の血管アクセス装置。
- 前記照射窓が、内側に向かって前記内腔の中へと延びるUV−C透過性円筒部を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の血管アクセス装置。
- 前記UV−C光源が少なくとも部分的に前記UV−C透過性円筒部の中に位置付けられるランプを含むことを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の血管アクセス装置。
- 血管アクセス装置の製造方法において、
内腔、内面、および外面を有する流体チャンバを設けるステップと、
前記流体チャンバの側壁を貫通する照射窓を設けるステップと、
前記流体チャンバに連結されて、UV−C光が前記照射窓を通じて前記流体チャンバの内部へと発せられるようにするUV−C光源を設けるステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記流体チャンバがUV−C反射材料を含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記流体チャンバの前記内面と前記外面の少なくとも一方にUV−C反射材料を塗布するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記照射窓はUV−C透過性であることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記UV−C光源を、前記流体チャンバの前記外面に選択的に連結されるように構成されるハウジングの中に取り付けるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ハウジングはUV−C不透過性であることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記ハウジングが、前記UV−C光源に電源供給するための電源をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記照射窓が、内側に向かって前記流体チャンバの前記内腔の中へと延びる円筒部であることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記UV−C光源が、光ファイバケーブルを通じて前記照射窓に連結されることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記流体チャンバはカテーテルアダプタであることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 静脈内に注入される流体の中の病原菌に照射を行うシステムにおいて、
静脈内カテーテルと、
内面、外面、近位端、遠位端、およびそれらの間に延びる内腔を有する流体チャンバであって、前記流体チャンバの前記遠位端が前記静脈内カテーテルに連結されて、前記流体チャンバの前記内腔が前記静脈内カテーテルと流体連通するような流体チャンバと、
前記流体チャンバの側壁を貫通して形成される照射窓と、
前記照射窓に連結されるUV−C光源であって、前記UV−C光源がUV−C光を、前記照射窓を通じて前記流体チャンバの前記内腔の中へと発することができるようなUV−C光源と、
を含むことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記流体チャンバは前記静脈内カテーテルのカテーテルアダプタであることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載のシステム。
