Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a tension leveler that performs scale peeling (descaling) before pickling in pickling line equipment for removing scale on the surface of a hot-rolled steel sheet. In particular, the present invention relates to a technique for preventing the occurrence of defects due to biting of a peeled scale.
As a tension leveler for descaling a hot-rolled steel sheet before pickling, for example, there are tension levelers described in Patent Documents 1 to 3. These tension levelers impart bending deformation to the steel sheet by work rolls. As a result, cracks are made in the scale on the steel sheet surface, and the scale is peeled off from the steel sheet surface.
For example, in the tension leveler described in Patent Document 3, the scale braking ability is enhanced by making the surface of the work roll a rough surface having a roll center line roughness (Ra) of 1.0 μm or more and less than 10 μm. It has been proposed to reduce the time required for pickling.
In the conventional tension leveler, the surface of the work roll to be used is defined by the surface roughness Ra in order to prevent slippage.
However, the surface roughness Ra is an index that represents an average value of deviations from the center line in the reference length, and does not focus on the interval between the irregularities. Therefore, when managing the surface of the work roll with Ra, even if the scale braking ability can be obtained, there is no escape from the peeled scale, the peeled scale adheres to the work roll, and the above-mentioned adhesion from the work roll. The scale is pushed into the steel plate again. That is, there is a concern that the scaled defect is generated when the peeled scale is transferred to the steel plate surface.
This invention is made paying attention to the above points, and it aims at suppressing the transcription | transfer by pressing of the scale from a work roll to a steel plate.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the invention described in claim 1 of the present invention is a tension leveler provided with a work roll that applies bending deformation to a hot-rolled steel sheet and peels the scale from the surface of the steel sheet. The surface of the roll is characterized in that the convex number density (PPI) per inch of the line length is 200 or more and 650 or less in the circumferential direction and the axial direction.
Next, the invention described in claim 2 is a backup roll that applies a pressing force to the work roll, and a plurality of jets of water toward the work roll and the backup roll. And an amount of water sprayed from each of the nozzles is set in a range of 0.06 [m 3 / hr] to 0.4 [m 3 / hr].
According to the present invention, it is possible to suppress the pressing (transfer) of the peeled scale from the work roll to the steel sheet surface. Thus, according to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the occurrence of scale defects.

FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating an example of pickling line equipment to which a tension leveler that is a descaling apparatus of the present embodiment is applied.
As shown in FIG. 1, the pickling line equipment of the present embodiment includes an entrance-side looper 1, a deflector roll 2, a first bridle roll 3, a tension leveler 4, a second bridle roll 5, and a pickling line. A tank 6 (hydrochloric acid tank) is arranged. And the hot-rolled

The
The surface roughness of the
Such rough surface processing may be performed by, for example, electric discharge dull processing. Table 1 shows an example of conditions for managing the PPI within the above range by electric discharge dull machining.
Here, the convex number density is defined as 200 or more and 650 or less as follows.
The reason why the maximum PPI is set to 650 is that the peel scale S is assumed to have a particle size of about 30 μm. Therefore, if the PPI exceeds 650, the effect of capturing the peel scale S between convex pitches becomes small. It is conceivable that the maximum value 650 is assumed to be the maximum convex number density (minimum convex interval) that makes it possible to capture the peeling scale S (particle size of about 30 μm) between convex pitches.
Further, when the PPI is less than 200, the effect of capturing the peeling scale S between the convex pitches is considered to be small, and the

(About spray devices 13-15)
The
As shown in FIG. 5, the
In this embodiment, the case where the
As shown in FIG. 4, the

Here, when there is no projection, as shown in FIG. 6, the peeling scale S is bitten into the surface of the
Further, the peeling scale S captured in the recesses between the
The peeling scale S transferred to the
Here, while the inventors are studying and investigating the reduction of scale biting with a roll bite, the scale indentation defect due to scale biting is caused by the deposition of the peeling scale S in the
Further, the peeling scale S that has adhered to the

(Effect of this embodiment)
This embodiment has the following effects.
(1) The surface of the
According to this configuration, since the peeling scale S is mainly captured by the concave portions between the
(2) A plurality of
By setting the amount of water to be sprayed within the above range, it is possible to further reduce scale pushability defects by a synergistic effect with the effect of (1).
Next, examples of the present invention will be described.
In this example, in the structure equivalent to the structure of the said embodiment, while changing the convex number density of the
Here, the defect mixing rate is an index value indicating increase / decrease in scale indentation defects represented by the following formula.
Defect contamination rate = number of defect contamination / coil length (m) x 100 [%] (1)
As can be seen from FIG. 8, in the region where the PPI is less than 200 and greater than 650, the defect mixture rate is over 0.45%. On the other hand, according to the present invention, in the region where the PPI is 200 or more and 650 or less, the defect mixing rate is low and stable.
Further, when the flow rate per nozzle is 0.06 [m 3 / hr] or more, the defect mixture rate is stabilized at a low level. However, if the flow rate exceeds 0.4 [m 3 / hr], the defect mixture rate is saturated at a low level, the amount of water becomes excessive, and it is necessary to enlarge the water drainage equipment after use accordingly. Occur.
