Description
近年、燃料ガス(水素含有ガス)と酸化剤ガス(酸素含有ガス)とを反応させて電力を得ることができる燃料電池セルを複数配列してなる燃料電池セルスタックをケーシング内に有し、燃料電池セルスタックに燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスとを供給して発電する燃料電池ユニットが提案されている。この種の燃料電池ユニットとして、水蒸気改質により燃料ガスを生成する改質器と、水を蒸発させ改質に用いる水蒸気を生成する蒸発器と、をケーシング内の燃料電池セルスタックの上方に設け、発電反応に使用されなかった燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスとが燃焼することで発生する燃焼ガスの熱を改質器における改質反応及び蒸発器における水の蒸発に利用するものが知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。
