Abstract
【解決手段】ノズル開口から液体を噴射するヘッド本体40と、該ヘッド本体40に液体を供給する液体流路を備え、該液体流路の途中には、内部にフィルターが配設されたフィルター室が設けられており、該フィルター室の前記フィルターに相対向する領域が弾性部材22で形成された流路部材20と、を具備する液体噴射ヘッド3と、前記弾性部材22を前記フィルターに向かって押圧する押圧手段50と、前記ノズル開口側から前記液体流路の内部の液体を吸引する吸引手段10と、を具備する。

Description
かかる態様では、押圧手段によって弾性部材をフィルターに向かって押圧することで、フィルター上に溜まった気泡を液体流路の下流に移動させることができるため、吸引手段に気泡がフィルターを超えるための高い吸引力が不要となり、低い吸引力を有する小型で安価な吸引手段を用いることができる。

図1は、本発明の実施形態1に係る液体噴射装置の一例であるインクジェット式記録装置を示す概略斜視図である。
図8は、本発明の実施形態2に係る液体噴射ヘッドの一例であるインクジェット式記録ヘッドの上面図及び側面図であり、図9は、実施形態2に係るインクジェット式記録ヘッドの動作を示す図である。なお、上述した実施形態1と同様の部材には同一の符号を付して重複する説明は省略する。
図10は、本発明の実施形態3に係る液体噴射装置の一例であるインクジェット式記録装置の概略斜視図であり、図11は、押圧手段の動作を示すインクジェット式記録ヘッドの側面図であり、図12は、押圧手段の動作を示すインクジェット式記録ヘッドの上面図である。なお、上述した実施形態と同一の部材には同一の符号を付して重複する説明は省略する。
以上、本発明の各実施形態について説明したが、本発明の基本的な構成は上述したものに限定されるものではない。また、例えば、上述した各実施形態では、第2壁部26を第1壁部24よりも剛性が低くなるように、第2壁部26の第2の幅W2を第1壁部24の第1の幅W1よりも幅広としたが、第2壁部26は、第1壁部24よりも剛性が低ければ、特にこれに限定されない。例えば、第2壁部26となる領域のみに、他の領域(第1壁部24)よりも剛性の低い材料を用いるようにしてもよい。このような例を図13に示す。なお、図13は、本発明の他の実施形態に係る流路部材の要部断面図であり、図3のA−A′線断面図に相当するものである。
Claims (4)
- ノズル開口から液体を噴射するヘッド本体と、該ヘッド本体に液体を供給する液体流路を備え、該液体流路の途中には、内部にフィルターが配設されたフィルター室が設けられており、該フィルター室の前記フィルターに相対向する領域が弾性部材で形成された流路部材と、を具備する液体噴射ヘッドと、
前記弾性部材を前記フィルターに向かって押圧する押圧手段と、
前記ノズル開口側から前記液体流路の内部の液体を吸引する吸引手段と、を具備することを特徴とする液体噴射装置。 - 前記フィルター室は、前記フィルターとは反対側に突出したドーム形状を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の液体噴射装置。
- 前記フィルター室を画成する前記弾性部材で形成された壁部は、前記フィルターとは離反する方向に傾斜して設けられた周縁部と、前記フィルター側に突出して設けられた中央部とを具備することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の液体噴射装置。
- 前記液体噴射ヘッドが主走査方向に移動可能に設けられていると共に、前記フィルター室が前記主走査方向に交差する方向に並設されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の液体噴射装置。
