Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cartridge that can be attached to and detached from an electrophotographic image forming apparatus main body.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in an image forming apparatus using an electrophotographic image forming process, a cartridge system is adopted in which a photosensitive drum and process means are integrally formed into a cartridge and the cartridge can be attached to and detached from the image forming apparatus main body.
In such a cartridge system, the main body electrode of the main body of the image forming apparatus and the electrical contact portion of the cartridge are in contact with each other in a state where the cartridge is mounted on the main body of the image forming apparatus. It is electrically connected to the main body. As a result, process steps such as charging of the photosensitive drum and developer carrier, ground connection of the photosensitive drum, detection of the remaining amount of toner using capacitance measurement, and the like become possible.
Here, as an example of the electrical contact portion of the cartridge, as shown in FIG. 19, a configuration in which the
However, in the above conventional example, it is necessary to assemble an electrical contact portion that has already been formed into a support member (hereinafter referred to as a bearing member) of a process means, and an insertion port or positioning for attaching the electrical contact portion to the bearing member. It was necessary to provide holes and cutouts. For this reason, in order to secure the strength of the surroundings of the bearing member and the like, it has been necessary to increase the thickness (plate thickness), or to reinforce with ribs.
Also, when multiple electrical contact parts are used, it is necessary to determine the arrangement and scooping path in consideration of the edge distance and the spatial distance between the electrical contact parts, so that the scooping path becomes complicated. It was as.
The present invention provides a cartridge having a power-supplied member that is electrically connected to the image forming apparatus main body and a bearing that rotatably supports the power-supplied member, while ensuring the strength of the bearing frame and having a high degree of design freedom. The purpose is to realize a contact configuration with a simple and high turning path.

FIG. 4A is a side view showing a schematic configuration around the bearing of the developing cartridge C, and FIG. 4B is a perspective view showing a partial cross section around the bearing cut along the line XX shown in FIG. 4A.

As will be described later, when higher accuracy is required, it is preferable to perform the two-color molding because the molded product is taken out from the mold rather than the configuration in which a different material is subsequently injected. In the two-color molding, the first color (corresponding to the bearing

Here, the edge surface distance refers to the shape of the bearing member 20 (at the shortest distance) from the conductive resin end surface b1 formed as shown in FIG. 13 (f) when there are a plurality of contact portions. It means the distance b (thick line in the figure) reaching another conductive resin end face b2.
The spatial distance refers to a linear distance (shortest distance, a shown in FIG. 13F) in space from the molded conductive resin to another conductive resin.
If the distances a and b are not sufficiently secured, the bias applied to the conductive resin on one side may leak to the other conductive resin, and the set value of the applied bias may change.
Next, the mold release will be described.

(9) Function of each shape of the contact portion and retaining, prevention of rattling between parts Next, with reference to FIGS. Give an explanation.
FIG. 10 is a view for explaining each function of the
As shown in FIGS. 10A and 10B, the

Here, in this embodiment, the

As shown in FIGS. 1C and 11, in the bearing

(12) Two-color molding Next, the two-color molding described in the section of “(9) Function of each shape of contact portion and retaining” will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 14 is a diagram for explaining a case where a simple-shaped bearing F is manufactured by two-color molding using the first-
In the two-color molding, first, as shown in FIG. 14A, the
By using such two-color molding, the injection pressure can be increased, and by increasing the injection pressure, the shape of the
Next, the
FIG. 15A is an external view showing the
As shown in FIG. 15, the
This is because the

(13) Gate Position Next, the gate position will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 16A is a diagram showing a case where the
Whether the
(14) Recycling When separating the unit state in which the bearing
As described above, according to the present embodiment, there is no need to provide an insertion port, a positioning hole, a notch or the like for attaching an electrical contact portion to the bearing member as in the prior art, and the bearing member (frame body) It is possible to form a conductive path without reducing the strength (rigidity) as much as possible. In the present embodiment, a conductive path is formed by providing a hole (through hole) penetrating between the
Compared with the conventional example shown in FIG. 19, when a plurality of contact members are required, it is possible to increase the edge distance and the spatial distance with the tunnel-shaped wall thickness. Becomes simple. Furthermore, since the conductive path can be easily wound around, the space for winding can be reduced, and the process cartridge can be reduced in the longitudinal direction.
Further, by forming the contact portion by injecting a conductive resin, it becomes possible to form a complicated electrode shape, and the design freedom of the contact portion (conductive path) can be increased.
In addition, since the contact portion is formed by sandwiching the bearing member, even if an impact is applied to the process cartridge at the time of distribution, the contact portion is dropped from the bearing member due to the anchor shape, or the contact portion floats from the bearing member. The occurrence of such an event can be prevented.
In addition, since it is not an assembly configuration between parts such as electrical contact parts (sheet metal) and bearing members, the position accuracy of the electrical contact parts relative to the bearing members can be more accurately achieved, and rattling between the bearing members and the contact parts can be prevented. can do.
