Abstract
Description
本発明は、生物組織の治療におけるマイクロ波放射に用いるための装置に関する。たとえば、本発明は、人または動物の体内に含まれる生物組織構造へマイクロ波エネルギを搬送するための外科手術用アンテナとして適用され得る。
特定の周波数において、マイクロ波エネルギは、生物組織の制御された焼灼を実行することができる。たとえば、14〜15GHzの間の周波数を有するマイクロ波エネルギは、生物組織への浸透の相対的に制限された深さを有し、このことは焼灼制御には有益である。
最も一般的には、本発明は、外科手術用スパチュラについて、1つまたはより多くの放射側面端部、および/または、1つまたはより多くの放射面(上部および/または下部)を提供し、特に、内視鏡または直腸鏡、あるいは、(たとえば、腹腔鏡敵手法でまたは自然開口部を通して)電気外科手術用器具を導入することができるチャネルまたはフレキシブルチューブを含む任意の他の検査装置によって侵襲的に挿入可能とされる大きさのスパチュラを提供する。
経管腔的内視鏡手術(natural orifice translumenal endosurgery:NOTES)技術を用いたキーホール手術を実行するために用いられ得る。
図1は、ストリップライン構造を含むパドルを備える外科手術用スパチュラ10を示し、ストリップライン構造は、パドルの両側面に沿ってマイクロ波放射場を放出するように構成される。図1における最上位段のパネルは、ストリップライン構造のサンドイッチ状の層を示すスパチュラの概略断面図である。図1における残余のパネルA〜Eは、最上段のパネルにおける矢印A〜Eによって示される方向から見た各層の平面図である。

Claims (15)
- 外科手術用スパチュラであって、
平面パドルと、
前記平面パドルの第1の端部から離れて延在するハンドルとを備え、
前記ハンドルは、マイクロ波電源からのエネルギを受けるように接続可能な同軸電力給電部を含み、
前記パドルは、前記同軸電力給電部に接続されるマイクロ波搬送構造を含み、
前記マイクロ波搬送構造は、前記第1の端部の反対の前記パドルの前端部において囲まれるとともに、前記第1の端部から離れて延在する前記パドルの側面に沿って開放されており、マイクロ波放射場がその側面から照射されることを可能にする、外科手術用スパチュラ。 - 前記マイクロ波搬送構造は、前記同軸電力給電部に接続されるストリップライン構造を有し、
前記ストリップライン構造は、前記パドルの開放側面端部に配置される複数の放射素子を有するマイクロ波回路を含む、請求項1に記載の外科手術用スパチュラ。 - 前記マイクロ波回路は、前記同軸電力給電部のインピーダンスを、自由空間への放射を禁止するが生物組織内への放射を促進するように選択された所定のインピーダンスにマッチングするように構成されたインピーダンス変換器を含む、請求項2に記載の外科手術用スパチュラ。
- 前記前端部は、スライシングに不適であるように平滑である、先行する請求項のいずれかに記載の外科手術用スパチュラ。
- 内視鏡および先行する請求項のいずれかに記載の外科手術用スパチュラを備える外科手術用器具であって、
前記内視鏡の器具チャネルは、同軸電力ケーブルを支え、
前記スパチュラの前記ハンドルは、前記同軸電力給電部を前記同軸電力ケーブルに接続するように前記器具チャネルの先端部に取り付け可能である、外科手術用器具。 - 前記パドルの幅は4mmよりも狭い、請求項5に記載の外科手術用器具。
- 前記マイクロ波搬送構造は、前記ハンドルの第1の端部に接続される一片のセラミックを含み、前記一片のセラミックは、前記第1の端部に直交する前記パドルの前記開放側面端部に沿った非金属化領域を除いて金属化された外表面を有し、
前記一片のセラミックの前記金属化された外表面は、前記同軸給電部の外部導体に接続され、
前記一片のセラミックは、前記同軸給電部の内部導体を受けるための通路を有し、前記非金属化領域からマイクロ波放射場が照射されることを可能にする、請求項1に記載の外科手術用スパチュラ。 - 1つまたはより多くの上面および/または下面、および/または、一方または両方の側面は、そこからマイクロ波放射場が照射されることを可能にするように開放している、先行する請求項のいずれかに記載の外科手術用スパチュラ。
- 外科手術用器具であって、
先行する請求項のいずれかに記載の外科手術用スパチュラと、
内視鏡と、
前記内視鏡の器具チャネルを通って延びるマイクロ波給電ケーブルを介して、前記スパチュラへマイクロ波エネルギを搬送するように接続されたマイクロ波生成器とを備え、
前記外科手術用スパチュラのハンドルは、前記パドルがそこから突出するように前記器具チャネルの遠位端に固定され、
前記ハンドルの前記同軸電力供給部は、前記マイクロ波給電ケーブルに接続される、外科手術用器具。 - 前記ハンドルは、前記器具チャネルと締まりばめを形成するようにテーパー状とされる、請求項9に記載の外科手術用器具。
- 前記ハンドルは、前記器具チャネルにおける対応するキー溝によって係止するためのキーを含む、請求項9に記載の外科手術用器具。
- 前記マイクロ波給電ケーブルと前記ハンドルの前記同軸電力給電部との間の接触面を囲むように取り付けられる絶縁スリーブをさらに含む、請求項9〜11のいずれかに記載の外科手術用器具。
- 前記開放側面端部におけるインピーダンスマッチングを表わす反射信号情報を検出して、前記スパチュラに搬送される電力レベルを制御するように構成された検出器をさらに含む、請求項9〜12のいずれかに記載の外科手術用器具。
- 前記スパチュラは、複数の開放側面端部および/または開放側面を有し、
各開放側面端部または開放側面は、前記検出された反射信号情報に基づいて選択的に動作可能な、個別のマイクロ波搬送構造を有する、請求項13に記載の外科手術用器具。 - 前記スパチュラは、前記マイクロ波生成器からの電力を受けるための個別のマイクロ波搬送構造を選択するように構成された、電子的に制御されるスイッチをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の外科手術用器具。
